Lovely place to stay, the accommodation was compact but very clean and comfortable. We had a meal and drinks downstairs and the food was home cooked and delicious, staff treat you like locals. Would definitely go back again xx.

We went for Sunday dinner and it was lovely very reasonable prices and the offer of different size meals we had small Sunday dinners and that was ample. Service was fast and everybody was friendly :) xx.

It is in Whitby… that should be enough! Beautiful food and equally wonderful service and friendly staff. I will always visit this pub, even if it's just to say hello. Very quaint.

I was pleasantly surprised to call in at the Granby on Saturday and be pleasantly greeted. We had a lovely meal as well and the standard of food was excellent. Much different from last year Vast improvement. We will be calling again. Thank you.

Food was good. Dog friendly. Most of the staff were great apart from one older female who didn't work behind the bar who obviously took a dislike to us. And made it quite clear with her attitude.

A ttadional pub, not great on decor but the staff are friendly and the real star is the beer. It is kept really well and tastes better than any I have had recently.

Great traditional pub. I wish all pubs where like this. Good ales, carpet, good atmosphere — what’s not to like? One thing I did NOT like, though, where the Christmas lights in the window. It is July for Christ’s sake.

Food was good. Dont like the idea of dogs on the furnicher. When people are eating or dressed in tidy clothes.

A very nice, cosy traditional pub with a lovely selection of ales. Walked in to a pleasant welcome and the service makes one pint turn into a few more. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to have a quick drink and a snack whilst out and about in Whitby. The fact they sell Scampi Fries guarantees the five stars!

Love this place haven’t stayed here or eaten here we are eating here Saturday the food looks great we came to Whitby last year and found this little diamond of a pub hotel eatery and just had to go back in this year great for just a drink if that’s all you want staff really friendly me and my husband go in every night we are here it’s just a great place.

Very friendly welcoming place. Great food. Would recommend thee roast dinner, excellent value for money. A place to relax after a busy day live entertainment Friday and Saturday.

Very busy, but always manage to get a seat,. Meals are reasonably priced, had to wait a bit for the but worth it, we told when ordering it they were taking a bit longer. Always call in here when in Whitby.

Superb service, food very good, friendly staff, popular pub so get in early. If you are going to Whitby on a themed weekend then either midday or four thirty. We make new friends every time we go there.

Great food and beer at reasonable prices. Unfortunately the singer left a lot to be desired very poor and even swore at the audience. Would have been higher mark otherwise.

Its a bit run down had a mixed grill here plenty on plate but meat especially the steak was overcooked. Customers were friendly and chatty which as a stranger there was nice.

Pub is nice, rooms could do with refurbing. Shower cubicles IN THE ROOM — no privacy, 2 toilets shared between 4 rooms.

Worse than expected. Noisy, below anytime decent modern standard compared to other same rated hotels. Not worth the money. Disappointing experience : — (

Popped into here before going to our hotel, I got the mixed grill and wow was I impressed the food was lovely and enough to feed the whole family lol… well worth a visit.

Like it here nice staff always warm and most importantly it the last pub on our way to the Royal when we come to Whitby so yeahhhhhh one of our favourites xxx really dog friendly too as is most of Whitby Ace weekend AGAIN in beautiful Whitby!

I came here on a Friday night. Had the time of my life. The singer was amazing. Great pub. Great drinks. I loved it.
