We booked here as a party of six, for the last day of our holiday. The food was fresh and delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. By far the best meal we had all week. We'll be back for more… 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Staff really friendly and, felt safe inside the pub with what's happening at the moment with covid pub was full but still felt safe. Food was, outstanding and the sticky toffee pudding is amazing would recommend pub and food 100%

Made to feel welcome on arrival, lovely location just a few miles from Whitby. Great food, good beer, friendly staff. Will be recommending you to others and will definitely be booking a stay with you again.

We have stayed at the forge, as a couple, a few times and always been extremely pleased with it.
The bar area is gorgeous and cosy and sells a decent range of decent stuff.
The rooms are clean and cosy and plenty warm enough. Theres a back door to come through when the bar is shut, and we havent ever been bothered by noise from other residents.
Breakfast is always very well done and served quickly and the staff are very kind and accommodating.
We will always choose to stay at the forge for any events we attend in whitby, it's only a 10/15 minute drive away, and around £10 each way by taxi.

Just had another lovely Sunday lunch at my favourite pub on the N. Y. Moors. The lamb was beautiful and
the cheesecake soooooo gorgeous. And the Black Sheep beer is pretty good too. And equally important
the staff make you so welcome.

Staff are fantastic, friendly and very welcoming and accomadating. A very cosy pub with gorgeous food! The Forge welcomes dogs as well! The barman and barmaid this evening were outstanding! really professional, they kindly fitted us in for a meal despite all tables being booked! highly recommended!

Have stayed here for the last 3 or 4 years for a weekend break.

Stayed here with my daughter while up at Whitby for Goth weekend. I can’t recommend them enough.
We arrived after a long journey to find we had just missed out on food but they kindly served up the best fish n chips I’ve had in ages for us both.
Rooms were clean and cosy, so much so we overslept a bit!
Breakfast was fast a good start to the day and spot on! Staff were both very helpful welcoming, even photographing my daughter all dress up in her Goth outfit.
We will certainly be visiting again. Thank you to you all x.

Lovely Inn in a beautiful countryside setting. The staff are fantastic, really engaging and helpful, always talk to you as well. The food is amazing, and not expensive at all. We had the twin room which was very comfortable and right at the top, so had a good view towards the sea.

Called in this evening after day out in Whitby. Staff were really friendly and very welcoming to us and our children — we felt relaxed and comfortable. Delicious home cooked food and excellent value for money. We are on holiday and don't know the area so just took a chance but we were so glad we chose The Forge. Just wish we lived close enough to visit again! Thank you to everyone at The Forge for such a lovely meal.

Pleasant pub in a quiet village plenty of parking decent menu a bit pricey handy for whitby didnt eat here so cant comment on food.

Excellent service quality food and very friendly staff. The location is perfect for visiting Whitby, there is a park and ride less than a mile away, and a bus stops out side the property. I can definitely recommend a visit here. Jeff.

Just spent a weekend here and it was perfect. Apparently we had the smallest room but it had everything we needed for a two night stay and the views from the two windows were magnificent. The food was fantastic
Last but certainly not least the staff were friendly and let you know all you needed to know without being asked or being pushy. We will be back.

We've stayed here a couple of times in the last 12 months and have really enjoyed our stays, both times. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The food is great too and so was the beer :-) We'd definitely stay here again. Can recommend it.

Visited when we got lost whilst away for few days. Staff very freindly cannot comment on food as to the fact they were closing early due to family circumstances. Seemed nice surroundings.

A brilliant local pub with stoves and great food. The beer selection was limited to Black Sheep when we went in, which is drinkable so no complaints but would have preferred a choice. The food is particularly good, hearty winter food you might expect in a farming community at the moment, no idea what the menu is like at other times of year.

Really welcoming pub, with friendly staff, great decor, and delicious food, quickly served. A 'must visit' if you're in the area.

Sunday lunch wasn't bad but it was a bit odd as you only get one roast potato with your roast… we asked for more and guess what — we only got another one each! Bizarre!

We have stayed at The Forge for the last 2 nights. The hospitality shown by the owner and her staff has been nothing but exceptional. Warm, welcoming, great food and awesome accommodation. Everyone has gone above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place for a meal or to stay.

Last night of a fantastic weeks holiday in Whitby and we went to The Forge for a meal. We sampled a number of their Gins which were delicious lol. Our food was lovely, presentation was really nice and everything was piping hot. Service was excellent and staff very friendly and polite. We liked it for the fact they're dog friendly too which makes a difference as we have 3 dogs. Overall an great night and fab food and would recommend you give it a try.

Great village pub. Usually have a couple of good quality draft beers. Food is better than average & Sunday lunch highly recommended. Staff are friendly & helpful.

We were treated more like family than guests Seriously great food and I found they easily catered for anyone's breakfast tastes. I found everything was super tidy and clean. Such a friendly family who ran the the place. We were there in November 2016 and we're going back again this June/July 2017 and I think I'll be staying here for many more years to come.

Accommodation was top class, staff very friendly and attentive, evening meal and breakfast was superb, we will definitely be returning to this great pub, to recommend if you in the area.

The staff were excellent, very friendly. And just couldn't do enough for you. The food was also good and there was lots of it. The place itself was very clean had a nice atmosphere and was well laid out.

Had lunch here when arriving at the village for holiday. Service was impeccable, god was outstanding. Will be eating here more over the week.
