Have had a wonderful stay at the Saxonville Hotel this week.
The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly & helpful.
The food is fabulous with plenty of choices on offer to suit all tastes both at breakfast & in the evening.

Great service. Food is delicious. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff are helpful and polite.

Our first stay in Whitby, and from the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff were friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Room was spotless. Breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice and staff couldnt do enough to please. Would certainly recommend and would definetly stay again. Thankyou x.

This was our first stay here and certainly won’t be our last! The minute we walked through the door we felt welcomed, comfortable and that nothing was too much trouble. Love the staff everyone was friendly, efficient and professional. The room was excellent, clean and fresh with all the little extras even down to individual COVID packs. The dining room was bright and airy, the food and service very good. Really like being served at the table, non of this help yourself that seems to dominate most places, may change after COVID but would think this is the norm for the Saxonville. Appreciate that feeling of being valued and not just a number.
For us this hotel is well placed for accessing the harbour area through the Whalebones and the top end of town, just down a side street via the Royal Crescent. We have our favourite place in Scarborough and now have one in Whitby.

Lovely room with plenty of lighting, and ALL the staff were friendly and accommodating. There's also off-road parking and the hotel is situated quite close to the historic Whitby Cliff Lift: — the walk along North Promenade to Whitby itself is great.

Nice big room, friendly staff and off street, secure parking. Good location for a walk into town along the coast.

We only stayed one night but the room was extremely clean and the staff were very welcoming and obliging both in the dining room and the bar I would definitely like to stay there again.

Great hotel, spotlessly clean. Good breakfast, convenient parking. Only downside was an incredible rude and incompetent waitress, but the rest of the waiting team more than made up for her. Definitely worth a vist.

Excellent food … excellent waitress service. Shower facilities could do with improvement. Checkout time disappointing; early in comparison with other hotels. On the whole a very good hotel to stay set in a good location.

Superb quality dining, excellent service,. The staff are friendly and helpful and always welcoming they will go out of their way to help you to make your stay absolutely perfect. We loved every minute of our stay and will be coming back to it very soon Ten out of ten we'll done saxonville.

It has been a lovely hotel, the staff are very welcoming. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

Just a small issue and and thats the noise from kitchen. Our room was above it so we could hear morning and night. Also the cleaning cupboard /laundry room was right outside our room. Do the maids like to chatter! … good food though.

This was a very clean hotel with very friendly staff we couldn't of asked for a better place to have our weekend break. We will definitely be returning.

We have just stayed for the weekend 2nd to 4th Oct. Everything about this hotel says Class. From the minute we walked in, to the time we left we were looked after First Class. The reception was good and welcoming, lounge, bar area and dinning room great. We stayed in room 10 well decorated and everything you would need was in the room, bathroom good and clean. FOOD: Wow this was great, good choice, well cooked and presented, plenty of it. Staff were great nothing was to much trouble, they were pleasant and very attentive. Overall this hotel is a "Top Knocker"

My partner and I have just spent three days in Whitby, staying at The Saxonville Hotel. The hotel is very conveniently placed, very quiet and comfortable. The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The whole experience was delightful, and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. We will certainly return in the near future. Thank you Saxonville for a lovely break.

We have been as a family for many years now and have loved every visit. It is always a great 6 course meal at dinner time and it always has plenty of choice. Also the breakfasts are immaculate. The only improvement would be to make it more modern.

I stayed at the Saxonville Hotel with a walking group last week. There were 20 of us. The service was friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Mr Newton, the owner, was unfailingly charming and helpful, as were all his staff. The hotel itself was immaculate, rooms clean and well presented. How refereshing to see an established, characterful, family-run hotel, long may it continue to run and run.

We are currently staying at this hotel and cannot fault the level of service we are getting. This hotel appears to be geared more to the age 30+ guest, what with the absence of children and the flow of 50s and 60s music playing quietly in the background. Our bedroom boasts a four poster bed, is beautifully decorated and is very spacious. The meals are absolutely delicious, with a good choice of dishes to choose from. We will certainly return to this hotel, when holidaying in Yorkshire again.
