Lovely food nice inside and out in a beautiful village.

Fantastic Staff, though they were busy managed to find me a table. Nice selection of beers, Wines and Spirits, Freshly cooked food. Definitely would come again.

In a lovely village, food amazing like that you can choose what size meal you have. Friendly nice atmosphere.

Lovely stay here, large, comfy room, nice hot shower in the en suite, staff nice and friendly and food excellent.

A delicious Sunday lunch of roast lamb followed by lime & ginger cheesecake with lemon curd ice cream.
Hubby had the roast turkey followed by apple pie & custard which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Great food, lovely staff and social distancing rules strictly adhered too. Thank you!

30th Wedding Anniversary Meal. Tonight we celebrated our 30th Wedding anniversary. As always the food and service was top drawer. Quality and quantity all served in very pleasant surroundings by happy and sociable staff.
10/10.

Arrived at 7:55 pm yes we will serve you, not bad for a Sunday night when service finished at 8! Excellent service, food and ambience, loved the traditional Yorkshire pub. Will return soon.

Excellent food, staff very friendly and helpful. A shame about the locals! They were rowdy and abused my dog who was defending himself after a dog went for him. The pub might be dog friendly but the locals aren't. They said they werr out for a quiet drink but we couldn't hear people talking to us due to the noise they were making.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, the food was excellent. This was our first visit, we will certainly be going back the next time we are in the area. I would recommend going to the New Inn if you are in or near Thornton — Le — Dale. Also they are very dog friendly.

It ok nothing special we was sat over hour in beer garden waiting for food the to be told by the waitress she not put our order in the kitchen and it was her home time. So another 20 mins food came to be honest had better from 2 for one pubs.

Stopped off here on the spur of the moment for Sunday lunch and so glad we did. Food was excellent, staff are friendly and the prices were great. Two course Sunday dinner was £12.95, three was £15.95 and the kids fish and chips were a fiver. All home cooked you can't go wrong.

It's a comfortable place to stay and the food is Great. Staff are all so friendly. A brilliant place.

Friendly staff, log fire and nice locals. Very dog friendly! Had a superb meal, highly recommend the sirloin steak but all the food was high quality. The deserts were very good, more restaurant standard than pub food, but not that expensive.

Our third visit, on 2 occasions we ordered a meal. I cannot express highly enough the quality & presentation of the fare. Staff are attentive and friendly the ambience is great & it's only a 10 minute walk from the caravan park Overbrook.

Absolutely fantastic pub food, had surf n turf, steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare as ordered. Good sized portions, value for money and dog friendly. Be going there again before the end of the week, lol!

The New Inn is a delight to visit in all respects. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is superb! We like to go there for Sunday lunch in particular but a visit in the evening to enjoy the bar food is always very pleasant.

1st time visiting this quirky pub/restaurant yesterday. Greeted by staff & shown to a table. Fabulous homemade food. Could not fault it one bit & has parking to the rear. Will definitely recommend & visit again :-)

My self and a friend were mountain biking in close by Dalby forest for two days. So we went in to the New Inn on Friday night for some food and a pint on recommendation. We were looking for good simple filling pub grub. But what we got, was way more than that! The service from the two girls was warm friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic in both the selection and the actual plate presented; it tasted excellent. We ended up staying until 11pm sitting by the fire e…njoying a local pub/restaurant atmosphere with a nice selection of beers. The next day (Saturday) we went up the hill again and instead of heading home late afternoon and eating en-route, we went back to have dinner in the New Inn, before starting the journey. If either of us is mtb'ing in Dalby again, the New Inn will be part of the visit once more. Definitely recommended for the atmosphere, welcoming service and the quality of the food.

Booked a table for five o'clock and arrived at five past five. The food eventually arrived at five fifty five which we were grateful for as we were hungry at this point. The waitress started clearing plates while I still had my chicken burger in my hand — I had to steal the ketchup from her! When I asked if we could see the desert menu the waitress took a little time to think then said yes. A few minutes later another waitress came to say the table was booked to someone else at six thirty but we were welcome to sit at the bar (with our four and six year old!? ) and have desert there. It's such a pity to be treated this way after being made to wait so long for our food. Perhaps if we had been able to eat when we expected and not nearly an hour later we could have enjoyed our deserts in our own time. Good food — dreadful service — unprofessional waitress!

Stayed for bed and breakfast at weekend for a wedding. Very warm welcome we needed to arrive earlier than booking in time due to wedding at 12 noon. Although room not ready we could book in and leave our cases in room. Lovely clean room and comfortable. Breakfast very good.

Friendly & they have time for U even if you don't want a meal.

Been to New Inn on several stays in Thornton never had a single reason for complaint, due to go again early March. Highly recommend.

Good beer, Good food, Friendly staff and Locals. To be recommended.

Went for a stag night for 8 older end people wanted something different. Went on 9 may had a lovely tour around the brewery the guide was great told us lots of things we had a evening meal in the restaurant very very nice food fresh all came together and enjoyed it all. The bar is well stocked with real ales and bar staff was great a credit to the hotel. But the biggest plus was the breakfast cooked to order and was lovely sausages and the bacon was best I have tasted in years. Thus was my first visit but won't be my last will be back with my guide dog to explore the area. A big thank you to all the staff for a lovely stag night. Jeff holt.

Absolutely sublime. Everything we ate was lovely especially the slow cooked beef. Even the Fosters lager was nice which was a surprise.

Big portions. Went on a Sunday evening and had not pre booked, the place was fully booked, but managed to find seating with our dog upstairs. Friendly staff in the main. The local cider was the best Ive had. The dinner came about 45 mins after we ordered, hence only the 4 stars. Big portions all round. Decent value for decent the food. Mix up with the bill which was rectified without a fuss. A mix of locals and tourists, all very relaxed.

My wife and I went for two nights last week our room was lovely four poster bed in the king room very clean and bright, we choose to eat in the resturant on both evenings and the food was excellent as were the breakfasts I will definately go back and will be recommending it to my friends.

My partner and I had an evening meal here, even though it was late they still accomodated us, the food was very tasty with generous portions. The staff were lovely and a credit to Yorkshire. We will definately dine here again. Peter and Maureen From manchester.
