Staff are very curtious and friendly, service very fast and the meal was gorgeous. A lovely warm atmosphere, highly recommend.

Fantastic stay, gorgeous suite, excellent meal in the restaurant and staff were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble, highly recommend to anyone looking for a great night away, thank you.

Is set over 2 floors with a large roll top bath in the living room downstairs. Quirky indeed but fun. You will either love it or hate it. We loved it 😍
All the staff are lovely but special mention to Charlotte Concierge and to Charlie behind the Bar. Best thing for us it is really dog friendly. Penny the JRT had a great time with the humans and enjoyed sampling the delicious food at Dinner and Breakfast yum yum.

I've ordered Mother's day Sunday Roast for my parents. Wowowow it was amazing food and impressive portions. Was so happy that my parents said they really enjoyed the food and it was great Roast and dessert as well. Thank you! I will order them again 👏👍

Just had our Sunday roast delivered. We had beef and pork, both cooked to perfection and the Yorkshire puddings were amazing! How do you get them that big? Would definitely recommend.

Good service, nice and friendly, not a lot of choice on the menu but with covid thats understandable, £15 for fish and chips maybe a bit steep, and no children's menu either,

The room was lovely and the food was divine. The staff were really helpful and the whole place is quaint and lovely.

Beautiful Sunday lunch yesterday. We collected and it was still hot when we got home. The lamb was delicious. We will definitely use this fantastic service again. Cheers to all the staff who made this happen. Much appreciated.

Been to this pub a few times now. My favourite place to eat and drink. Had the fish and chips today and they were gorgeous. We’ve also stayed overnight too in one of the rooms.

Absolutely lovely hotel very clean rooms very spacious food top notch waiters very pleasant bar nice and quiet very private bedrooms plenty of parking space. The duty management and management made us feel very welcome as soon as we entered the hotel couldn’t fault them at all brilliant.

First time in The White Swan, was given a voucher for Christmas for Tapas and Prosecco, really enjoyed it, service was excellent, would certainly recommend it.

Stayed here for two nights with our dog. Sarah was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, setting up the snug for dinner and breakfast so that we could eat with our pooch. We were with two other couples who also enjoyed their stay. Great location in town and next to the Yorkshire Moors Railway which was a lovely day out. All the staff are warm and friendly and we were very well looked after. When we ordered cooked breakfast on the Saturday morning our Vizsla Angus even got his own plate of sausages which obviously he was thrilled about! Great food, lovely clean rooms. Highly recommend it.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was good size with excellent bed and pillows. Facilities were very good with lots of little extras that made a difference. This was our first experience of staying in a pub/ Restaurant /hotel and we would now always consider this in the future. Well done to all at The White Swan.

Last night dinner at the end of a lovely week in Pickering and what a dinner. Food superb, service friendly and efficient and the setting beautiful. We are thinking of holidaying in Pickering again next year and guess where we want our last evening's dinner? As soon as we book a cottage we'll be on the phone to book the window table!

The food is lovely and the menu is varied. This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first time.

Spent 10 nights at the White Swan while working in the local area. Room was spotless and comfortable, staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Pickering is a beautiful town in a beautiful part of England … David.

The white swan is excellent, good food, good accommodation and the staff are second to none. I would highly recommend the hotel. I can't find fault with the hotel.

What a fantastic place. A warm welcome in the snug for us and our pooch, the staff are very friendly and professional, the food is absolutely delicious and the place it's self is very nice.

Excellent but expensive food in a dark, old-fashioned room (in a good way). Good wine list but the white wine served far too cold — needed 20 minutes to get to proper serving temperature. This is a detail I don't comment on if I'm paying £30 for the meal, but at these prices I expect better. Pub at the front seems to only be used by hotel and restaurant patrons.

Had a great Sunday roast today. Was late to my party's table but the very kind staff kept my food warm and it was still perfect!

My wife and I had a very satisfying light lunch of sandwiches on cold windy day after travelling over the North Yorkshire Moors. I will gladly recommend this venue to my daughters and friends.

Booked a meal for the boxing night picked a table everything fine till we got there put in a cold room menu was rubbish wasn't given table we booked told someone else had booked rubbish as we went in three days before to confirm never been so badley treated that's one place we'll never go again.

We enjoyed a quick stop here for a drink and a nibble. Service with a smile and the young woman behind the bar went above and beyond the call of duty to make my wife the winter warmer gin drink they were promoting.

Attentive but not hovering staff, great food, pork belly is definitely recommended, cosy seating and old fashioned tables. Definitely worth a visit if you happen to have come into Pickering on the NYWR.

Went in to check what was on the menu and for a hotel This was very poor The meals on offer has got to be the worst. Iv ever seen Not surprised the Place was empty.

This Hotel is perfect for what we were, a shooting party. Brilliant rooms esp the seperate ones at the back with a Botthey for private dining not getting in the way of other diners. The staff were brilliant, special thanks to Clare (manager) Joseph and Emma and all the others. I think they enjoyed our company almost as much as we did theres! The food was the best! Esp letting us mixs from different menu's. Thanks again to you all. Paul Whitton and the gang.

Had such a fantastic night at the White Swan on 5 August to celebrate my Father's 90th Birthday. All the family stayed in Hideaway Rooms and we had a private dinner in the Bothy — beautiful room. The rooms and food were excellent and we had such a happy time. We were looking after perfectly by the lovely Ellie who couldn't do enough to help — thank you! On arrival we had a great welcome from Sarah and I know she has helped my parents hugely in making the arrangements and ensuring everything was perfect. Slept soundly in our very comfortable bed and enjoyed a delicious breakfast before heading home. Can highly recommend.

Great place for Sunday lunch met family there with young children very accomodating staff and good excellent!

Stayed here for two nights for my 50th birthday and to see the Elbow gig in the Dalby forest. We stayed in the hideaway treat in the converted stable block out the back. The room was so comfortable. Other reviews have noted that the room was a bit shabby and paint work needed touching up but like any busy hotel with a high turnover of guests you can't expect it to be perfect. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday evening and the food was fab. The service for the breakfast on both days was a bit slow but the dining room was full and being run by just the waitresses, but was definitely worth the wait with a good selection to choose from. Over all the service from the staff was fantastic and attentive and we throughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent food and service I had the ploughmans lunch and my wife had eggs royal, which were both fantastic. We had our two dogs with us as well which makes a welcome surprise to eat with them in a much better than average pub when many lower standared pubs won't let them in.

Stopped for lunch. Nice food although quite pricey. Nicely kept Black Sheep ale. Dog friendly in front two rooms.

We had a friends birthday here and hired a private room, which was like an annex at the back. Beautiful room. Exquisite decor. Food was delicious. The veggie pastry dish was scrumptious as was the Eton Mess. Gorgeous garden.

Fantastic food and service! Very accommodating to my mums dairy allergy and so helpful! They were very attentive and the food did not disappoint. The lamb melted in the mouth and the Yorkshire puds were just amazing! Can not recommend enough and will definitely be returning! Made My Mums Mother's Day extra special — Thankyou.

What a delightful place in Pickering town centre, after a walk round the castle we were ready for a nice lunch and a few drinks! The Inn is beautifully decorated keeping the charm and traditions of a Yorkshire Inn whilst serving up scrumptious food! We sat outside just by the entrance having told the staff one of our dogs can be a bit troublesome when food is brought to the table, as we didn't want to disturb everyone in the beer garden. The staff were brilliant and very helpful and the waitress who served us completely understood the situation and between us we managed to keep the dogs calm and quiet! The food was excellent! I had the Steak Ciabatta with hand cut chips, the steak melted in my mouth and was so tender, the chips were addictive and if I was being greedy I could of eaten another portion so very tasty! My husband had the rump steak which was a huge offering and he said it was one of the best steaks he has had! What a fantastic lunch and we would highly recommend to anyone! Perfect!

Lunch Only Review || We decided to pop into hear for some quick lunch and absolutely loved the cozy, quaint atmosphere in the small bar room — with fire roaring. The toasted sandwiches were great and, despite having a tiny bar, the real ale and beer selection was better than most pubs on the high street. The staff were amazingly friendly and upbeat too. Highly recommend.

An enjoyable stay at this comfortable hotel. Food was excellent, with special attention & help for my dietary requirements. Staff were very helpful at all times.

Great service for a busy pub/restaurant even though we hadn't booked. Staff were friendly and chatty especially with the children. Children's meals good value, especially the fish and chips (lovely mushy peas! ). For lunch the sandwiches are well made and husband loved the steak and onion.
