Wouldn't recommend the fish as was all batter. One of our party had the burger and chips the chips were fishy tasting fries. We did comment to the waitress but as yet no feed back. Hot chocolate and beer we're OK.

This hotel was so lovely. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Breakfast was wonderful. The bed us the comfiest I have ever slept in!

We stayed sat the 12th February. Not very impressed at all. First off we had food and wife’s meal had to go back because it was contaminated with plastic. The breakfast is totally disgusting. The best thing about us stay was the bed it was very nice. Warning the bar is very expensive double gin and a pint of beer £18.75.

Great hotel, staff were fantastic at the weekend at a dinner and dance event that had guests of 800 people attending! Nothing was too much trouble! The food and drinks & service was all 5 star 🤩👌

We have recently attended a 2 day event at this hotel. The service from the whole team was first class. I genuinely felt that the staff there enjoyed our event too. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the food was great. Can’t wait for the next event at this hotel. Well done to all. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We just had our wedding here and Alisa/Steve and team where amazing and very accommodating given the circumstances. They we’re attentive from start to finish and we absolutely loved every minute of it! Thank you again guys.

The rooms are beautiful bar and restaurant too. Completely safe, cleaning done endlessly alarm cords in every room a very good experience x.

Clean friendly staff just needs a disabled entrance from car park.

Came for meal yesterday with my hubby and friends and omg it was so yummy and even better got it with £10 off each. The food was delicious and looked good too and Amy our server was very friendly and attentive she couldn't do enough for us and even offered a change of sauce for our steak. Seating was well set out and all ppe and sanitizing stations were in place. Would defo recommend and we will be coming back again, even when offer is finished as food and service was excellent.

Just had our first night away since lockdown and despite the necessary restrictions in place I can not fault the hotel or the staff. Everyone was lovely and so helpful. Plenty of measures in place to keep everyone safe. Room was lovely, quite and clean so just what you want. We popped to the bar for a few drinks and we stayed for breakfast. Absolutely great service. These guys are clearly happy to be back welcoming guests and it shows.

Fantastic hotel. Spacious & quiet room, bed so comfortable. Reception staff brilliant couldn’t do enough for us. Would recommend breakfast I had an omelette was 10/10. Roof top bar was good. Would definitely stay here again.

My First experience of after noon tea, I really enjoyed it along with my 2 daughter’s and Grandaughters, lovely staff who was really Helpfull, I will recommend it to my friends and relatives,

Shocking service — we had afternoon tea for 20 — our table was overflowing and we asked 3 times for it to be cleared. It never happened — we cleared it ourselves in the end — we spent a lot of money here — well over £500! One bar staff member was also rude to us when we asked it to be cleared! Rubbish.

Didn’t stay night but came up to the rooftop terrace bar which was lovely had some amazing food in the Lexington and the cocktails and gin was excellent. Wonderful service and helpful staff.

Booked the king suite under celebrations package for our wedding night, and the night was totally ruined by the hotel. The room was a standard room, we had to ask for complimentary items, we did not receive strawberries/chocolate and sparkling wine that we had confirmed on booking, instead we got a cheap nasty bottle of red wine that we could have bought for £10 at the local supermarket. We were told at check in that breakfast was not included, pulled up our booking to show it was and was told 'oh we'll do it as complimentary' as if we were getting something extra when we was not. We could hear all the bass from roof top bar most of the night, in our room, we did go up there but it was like a really trashy nightclub and after 5mins standing at an empty bar being ignored, (still in all our wedding gear) we left and went back to our room. Breakfast was a buffet style and after waiting over 10mins to be seated, found that the food was cold anyway. Then the money for our stay was taken out of our account whilst we were eating breakfast, we had intended to pay cash, and when we went to reception to ask why it was taken so early, the girl tried to explain and instead the girl next to her stopped serving the customer she was serving to shout at us that every hotel in the world did that and that if they reversed it the bank legally had to put it back immediately, when the bank actually have 3 working days to put it back, she was so rude it was an embarrassment.

We stayed on BHM. Smart Hotel, friendly staff especially Karen & Michaela, very warm welcome. Our double, standard room, was roomy and comfortable. Every facility provided, very tastefully decorated & furnished, spacious bathroom & huge flat screen TV. We ate our evening meal in Marco's Restaurant, the Waiter was attentive, fab food, cooked and presented perfectly. Breakfast was a delight, endless choice for all tastes, great start to the day.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, good sized room with king size bed very comfy, fab breakfast really good choice. We also ate in the Marco Pierre restaurant, excellent service and lovely food. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

Fab new hotel with gorgeous rooftop bar. Comfiest bed I ever slept in. Very soothing colour scheme with solid walls. Couldn't here a thing from outside. Had to move rooms a few times but the staff were great about it. Free hot cookies on arrival and easy car parking.

Amazing service. Friendly Northern welcome. Hotel was extremely clean and the room en-suite was above expectations. Will remember this next time I book. Highly recommended.

Barman didn't acknowledge us when we arrived, which I thought was a tad rude, so we just stood at the entrance for a few mins until a lady came out of the back room. She was very friendly and showed us to our seats. Booked the afternoon tea and was not overly impressed. Lucky if we got one slice of bread each from 4 tiny sandwiches (2 of which were ham) and far too many desserts. Adamantly told there was no drink option other than water if you don't drink tea or coffee (although strangely I was offered a fresh orange juice later on). That said the food was fresh. Views from the roof top bar are drab and I won't be rushing back. Disappointing.

This is a beautiful hotel we are very lucky in hull to have this. After a wonderful day around hull City centre doing the murder mystery event my self and 3 friends came over to you for our meal. The whole ambience and atmosphere was lovely. Very friendly staff and very helpful. We had 3 courses 2 bottles of wine and asked for some water for the table. The food was lovely the wine was perfect. When we asked for the bill we very dissapointed to find you had charged us £9 for 4 glass of water. How can you justify this?

Probably the best hotel hull can offer. Has a rooftop bar overlooking a bus depot and the bar staff are poor and that is being generous to them. Did not rate the marco pier white restaurant at all. Average food but top notch prices.

I was given a warm chocolate cookie on arrival — such a sweet welcome! And I was able to change my room to another which had a view of the streets. It was super comfortable. The restaurant was also great. Only that it was a little bit overpriced and it didn't taste better than average hence my withholding the fifth star. I'd recommend the Hilton to anyone going to Hull.

A shambolic experience from start to finish! Service standards poor, general standards low (especially considering the exorbitant prices charged), waiting times way too long, compulsory 10% service charges added to everything regardless of whether you think a service charge is justified. 10% even added to drinks when you queue and collect at the bar. Most staff were pleasant but very raw in their competence levels. I suspect staff turnover is very high so no one really learns their role properly. I didn't hear any staff speaking fluent English. Air temperature on the high/dry side, restaurant lighting was far from cosy and did not create an upmarket ambiance. Restaurant tables way too small. Shan't be going again!
