Often visit during the week, mostly for Sunday dinner. Never been disappointed with the quality of the food 1st class, also the hospitality of the staff is really good. (However just one little gripe, the Pork Crackling that comes with the Pork Roast isn't very nice it tastes reesty, I'm guessing the fat needs changing that the Chef cooks the Crackling in). That'll not stop me going to 'Wold Village' for a Pork Roast, I'll just request No Pork Crackling thank you.

Overnight stay with dinner. Food was excellent and the service efficient and friendly. Room comfortable and clean. Breakfast cooked to order was delicious. Not a cheap stay, but well worth it. Would certainly do the same again.

Absolutely brilliant place for food and outstanding service! You must try there Sunday lunch, so tasty and delicious! Also you cannot walk alway from the mouth watering deserts! Beautiful surroundings.

Varied place, providing good local dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. Shop with quality gifts, cards and foods. Lovely art gallery where you can buy items created by local artists. Late cafe opening makes it a great tea time place to stop in the Wolds.

Lovely tea room, cafe, art gallery, craft shop and information centre. Also does accommodation. Nice looking menu and the food looked delicious.

A lovely quiet stop off point with a nice art gallery, quaint gift shop, b and b and nice coffee. The cafe is quite pricey though but you're paying for the lovely little courtyard. Watch out for the amusing animal sculptures in the short woodland walk.

Lovely site featuring restaurant serving very good food, a gift shop, art gallery and some little Woodland walking areas. Good car parking and toilet facilities. We have been several times before and will certainly be going again.

Acceptable place to have lunch on a Monday or Tuesday. If any imagination or inspiration went into what, and how, it was served it wasn't obvious. Frankly, wait till Wednesday or later in the week when there are plenty of local pubs working much harder to capture the business by putting some effort, enthusiasm and inspiration into what and how they do it. On the plus side, the courtyard is a delight, and the size of the cheesecake portion was admirable. I don't eat desserts, so it didn't compensate. A REYTA award is amusing, but it's easy to imagine they are resting on their laurels.

Amazing sandwiches and the best ever hot chocolate! Highly recommend. A beautiful place with in and outdoor seating, a fabulous little shop packed to the rafters with gifts and an art gallery showcasing different artists work available to buy.

I only visited restaurant for afternoon tea after a walk round the Wolds. Lovely outside seating on a lovely day. Very popular can get very busy.

Had a lovely time here. Lovely lunch for my fathers 80th birthday. Great food and fab service.

A peacefully oasis. Pot of coffee for 2 plus scones with jam and cream. Absolutely delicious. A perfect end to a day out in Pickering and Malton.

Really interesting and characterful room with a lot of nice and unexpected touches. Evening meal was traditional, (proper Yorkshire Puddings! ), and the breakfast was excellent. Definitely would like to visit again.

Food is delicious, the restaurant itself is a lovely environment to eat in — a fascinating building which has been lovingly restored. A wide range of dishes to suit all tastes and reasonable value. Beautiful gallery and gift shop on site and outdoor tables in nice weather. We have been coming here for years and it's always been lovely.

A really lovely cafe/restaurant here do the best Cappuccino love to call when visiting the coast.

Unusual place but very well managed you need to go to take in all the little qwerks and places to sea there food in restaurant first class and very good prices.

Great food and priced fair. Felt unwanted by staff as they seemed more interested in dealing with bigger tables than to come back to ask if our food was ok and if we required anything else! We were sat on a table for 2 pushed into the back corner of the room. Our plates were promptly cleared leaving our veg plate behind, but not asked if we would like anything else like deserts/ coffee! we waited 20mins and left without having deserts that looked very nice.

Visited again after walking in the area. Our waitress was fantastic, she was extremely pleasant and efficient, our order (for 8) was spot on, in the past we have had problems, ie I have visited as a party of 3 all ok, yet when we visited as a walking party of 8 plus the order was never right there was always something missing. Well done to our waitress!

Messed up order, staff stood around talking not doing a lot, expensive for the quality of food. Very disappointed only thing giving it 2 stars is the shops sell lovely gifts.

An excellent farm shop which sells excellent local produce. The cafe/restaraunt is excellent. The seating arrangements for eating provide areas which are quirky. In addition the florist and the gift/homeware shops are very good. It is aĺl within a lovely setting.

Wolds village is a lovely place. It seems to cater a for groups of people. When I was there a group of people arrived. They had obviously travelled together and arrived in time for lunch. Wolds Village offers a small collection of cakes etc but the main meal menu is very good. It is possible to stay, B&B I think. Each of their rooms is themed so simply staying there a night must be an experience. There is also an art gallery and a gift shop. I think the desert menu could be a little more exciting but otherwise a visit here should be an enjoyable experience. Interestingly the toilets are immediately accessible on entry, before entering the restaurant. Great idea if you've been traveling. I must comment on the hand dryers. I've often been disappointed by the hand dryers in toilets but these ones are excellent.

Booked at last minute, we were able to get a lovely double room. Well appointed and decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean with an excellent shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Food in the restaurant was excellent, both for dinner and breakfast in the morning. There is a craft shop and gallery on site, as well as walks and other activities. We are planning a return with more notice to try one of the other bedrooms, as they are all themed.

Wonderful place. We often go and take the children as it's lovely to walk around the wood and the food is great.

I visited here as a stop off during a motorcycle ride. It's a really lovely place, full of character with a very relaxed atmosphere. The food is great and reasonably priced. The service is fabulous and it was great to eat and relax in the courtyard on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
