Top pub, staff very friendly. Not tried the food but looks quality from what I see.

The Food is fab, staff are friendly, music was nice and to top it off was very reasonably priced.

Wonderful atmosphere, amazing service and very accommodating.

Since covid has caused pub closure, they have continued their great hospitality by introducing a takeaway and delivery service. There is a choice of delicious menus all reasonably priced. As pensioners and isolating we have had many of the various selection of meals delivered which arrive on time and piping hot. All you need is a warm plate, knife and fork. ❤️❤️
Not to miss are the daily “specials” which often include some alcohol! plus the free kids meals with Sunday roasts (to old to take advantage of that, but brilliant for parents during this difficult time)

Firstly, the staff are brilliant. Very friendly, hardworking and efficient.

Had a delicious fish, chips and peas takeaway last night. Couldn't fault the service, price and food — excellent. Delivery was on time and food piping hot. Would recommend ordering from The Seal. I hope you keep the regular delivery service going once we're out of lockdown. We'll definitely be using you again.

Best Gluten Free fish and chips I've ever had. All be it there isn't many places that do Gluten Free fish and chips but this is the best one I've had by far large portions and yummy.

We have just had a truly superb Valentines Day meal. The food was delicious and the staff were discreet but attentive. We had a great evening thanks to everyone.

Stayed in here before few years back and stayed here Tuesday night and had my nans wake Wednesday was lovely. Kiki done my nan and step dad proud, it was so simple and perfect.
Our room was lovely and very clean. All staff were amazing friendly and helpful.

We stayed at The Seal for a couple of nights as we were attending a wedding in Selsey. The whole experience added to a great weekend and would recommend anyone going to Selsey to stay at The Seal or have a meal there! The service was excellent, friendly and relaxed. The food was delicious and nicely presented and the room was lovely. Wouldn't hesitate going back!

We chose The Seal as it's local and non of us wanted to drive! Six of us went for a meal and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were attentive, little things like a finger bowl for the mussels without having to ask. The food was really fresh, tasty and very reasonable priced. Despite being fully booked we were so well looked after and there was a lovely atmosphere (maybe this glorious weather helps)! Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Had fantastic well cooked meal with our children and friends. Nothing was too much trouble. Presentation of food was top class the fish was cooked to perfection and staff attentive but not annoying. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely food and good beer. Good alternatives to Sunday lunch like mussels for people like me who can take or leave a roast dinner. Roast dinners are very good according to my partner.

Pie night was a hit with our group. After a few days of bun leisure grub, it was time to head out from the mud of the campsite for an hour, and find some decent home made food. A warm welcome from the staff of The Seal, they manage to find a table for all 7 of us, without booking. Steak and Stilton pie was the order of the day, served with mash or chips with side order of peas, and a pint of beer to wash it down. The Children's meals were excellent value for money Fish and chips, and a scampi and chips with a couple of garlic bread side orders. Bill came you just over £90 which is what I would of expected you pay. If your reading this whilst staying at Bunn Leisure, get your boots in as it's only a 15 minute walk from the camp site. Highly recommend Thankyou.

Faultless. All staff were kind, helpful, friendly and polite, knew when and when not to chat. I was offered a downstairs room as soon as I arrived as was not at all well, but I wanted to stay upstairs and all my things were carried up for me by Josh who was compassionate. It made a big difference. All food cooked to perfection. Room spotless. Quiet. Close to sea and shops. Good price. Easy parking out back. Just loved it there.

Very nice and welcoming, clean good sized room, comfortable bed had a great nights sleep. Good choice for breakfast bacon and eggs were cooked well not greasy most enjoyable, all staff very friendly will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We went to the seal very unexpected. Our niece was going back to Australia. We had not booked. But was greeted by the staff who were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and we will definitely go back again.

The food was superb, real good quality for money. Staff are delightful.

Very nice pub/hotel with a lovely atmosphere high quality food and great staff. Only let down was that on our visit the boiler had broken down so no shower for the first half of the day, staff did say we could have a later check out time until it was fixed but we had to leave early so this was not convinient.

Popped on for lunch today — fantastic food, good size portions, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

We went as a group of 8 adults for sunday lunch and were not dissappointed. Three had Sunday roast which looked good. The size of the yorkshires were huge. I and a couple of others had the sea bass which was gorgeous the fish cooked to perfection. We had one veggie with us and she was happy to have a choice of 4 or 5 dishes instead of just the veggie option so well done on that. The only dissappointment was one of us had a burger and it was quite rare but will ask for it cooked well done next time. We would definately go back again cant wait to try some of the other dishes the fish and chips looked great goiing past the table so might return for fish and chip supper.

Pub/restaurant clean and tidy and atmosphere friendly. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Although no vegan options on the menu they appeared to know what they were talking about and could accommodate us by adapting some vegetarian options. Would give 5 stars if they had a vegan menu.

I visited the Seal for a work lunch as recommended by my colleague who lives in Selsey. The food was incredibly good and well priced. I then took my mother and sister there for a meal out yesterday, the food was really nice and we were happy to have driven the distance from Bognor to go there. They were happy to give me a scampi £6 from their lunch menu despite it being dinner time and our waiter — Liam was super enthusiastic and happy — he reminded us of Lee Evans. Overall nice environment, good food and we will be returning again. One person I spoke to said he ate thee 3 times and was really disappointed, but everyone else I spoke to seemed really happy. Nice environment, nice staff and decent tasting food that is not a rip off. — BTW scampi is great and the large Fish and chips is huge! The only downside I felt was that as they have understandably catered for varying dietary requirements and as a result the chocolate brownie was rather disappointing. Being gluten free there is little they can work with so so it tasted more like sawdust paste than the real thing. Cheers.

We booked in for one night but it was so nice we stayed a second night. Couldn't fault it really big room huge comfy bed with a lovely en suite with a lovely double shower. For £75 a night we found it real value for money. The staff are friendly and the pub was good craic. The only thing I couldn't work was the air con in the room but that could have been me. Next time I'm in Selsey the Seal will be my first choice.

Sunday lunch with family. Beef was quite tough for a few people but the gammon was immense. Loved it. Could do with a bit more gravy.

Came here with family for an evening meal. The food was pretty good, nice big portions and really tasty. The starters were​ especially good, definitely try the antipasto. Mains were good too, although the pork belly was a tad dry, but the fish options were terrific. Alas we didn't have room for dessert although they did sound good!

Have been coming to the seal for over 30 years and although it has changed a lot over time it has only got better and better. Food is good and reasonably priced they have a good selection on ales in the bar and service is always fantastic.

If you're looking for somewhere to eat in Selsey, The Seal is probably your best bet. Not the cheapest place around, but not over-the-top expensive either. Good food, good selection and friendly service.

Nice pub. Accepting cards. Huge food portions, big selection of local alrs and some import lagers too. Outside seating available too, dog friendly. Favoured by locals.

Good atmosphere. With a quiz night on the first Tuesday of each month. An enjoyable experience.

We went there for a works do (colleague had just left) we had a lovely dit down buffet meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the beers were excellent and well kept. Was a great evening.

Lived in Selsey for 8 years. Never got round to eating at The Seal. A big mistake! Tonight's meal was nothing short of perfect. A menu that's varied, and great value. Do not come to Selsey and pass up on a chance of eating here.

The pub is lovely and the food is fantastic. You can have a really good laugh with the staff and the landlady is really friendly. Will definitely re-visit :).

FALSE ADVERTISING! We booked a romantic get away, but sadly no romance was on the cards here. The pub itself is very run down and super old fashioned, kind of like Brookside on a bad day. The plants outside the pub were dying, the only views were concrete houses. The room itself was decent and had been done up recently, so no complaints there, but just felt a bit pointless to even attempt to make this pub into a B&B. All those reviews must be fake or by friends, as I was seriously expecting something decent. The food at dinner was at best average, all the while the Greece soundtrack was playing in the background the whole time. Personally not my vibe. The breakfast was very poor, not impressed, so didn't eat a thing. A bit of a shocker. You really can't trust a place that has all 9/ 10/10 reviews. False.

Very welcoming and friendly staff, excellent, attentive service and great food with homemade dishes. No garden, though you can eat outside. Will return.

My wife and I stayed here on 25th Feb 2012 with our teenage children. Really pleased with the accomodation and agree with everything said by the previous review! The landlady was especially pleasant! Will defo stay here again.

My husband and myself stayed at the seal over the easter weekend I can honestly say that it is value for money the staff are very efficient and friendley. The accomadation is beautifully decorated and very clean. With the weather being very warm this weekend the air conditioning was very useful the location is also excellent as it is only a short walk to the beach and many shops and bars. The breakfast menu is a variety to suit all tastes and is very well done overall we would give the seal 10 out of 10 for the room, service, location and value for money. We will be staying there again.
