Having just checked in not had time to use amenities, Reception staff very friendly and efficient, so far yes I would definitely use again for stay and park.

Food very very good curry was lush and huge steak chips the staff are very friendly nothing was a problem 2nd visit to the same hotel keep up the good wrk.

Great experience all round. 4th time now. Wonderful friendly staff, food great, rooms great and 2 mins from airport. What more could you ask.

I am staying for two weeks so the menu choice is limited as it’s aimed for people staying for 1 night.

Very disappointed — have used this hotel a few times. Checked in this eve. No air con and was told there was absolutely no chance of changing rooms as all were full. TV does not work, reception don’t answer, went down to ask for someone to check the TV and possibly change the batteries in the remote. Told someone would be up shortly — no one arrived. In the meantime there are a string of other people checking in so obviously alternative rooms are available. Don’t like being lied to.

Lovely staff. Not much choice in food or drinks. But a lovely stay.

Let down by pick up service. We booked to stay and park as our flight was at 5:45am. We found the check in process, as well as the transfer to the airport straight forward and efficient. However, the day we returned, we called the hotel @ 2.45pm while we were waiting for our bags as instructed, but didn't get returned to the hotel until 3:30pm. I had thought that I would make use of the hotel for future trips, but the debacle on the return has made me re-consider.

The Hotel Inn Express is conveniently located to Cardiff airport with free transport to the airport. The rooms are large, great work station excellent, internet speeds, good shower. Breakfast was excellent just what the average travellers needs. The front desk were very helpful with their customer service was superb.

It is the Holiday Inn Express located next to Cardiff Airport in Wales. The situation is very good for catching a flight. There is free transfer to the airport although it is so close that you can walk.
The hotel performs its function. The food is very regular. Better to eat, have dinner and breakfast somewhere else if you have time and the possibility.

Stayed 12/6/18 before our trip away. First impressions were how beautiful the flowers and outside areas were, very welcoming!. Staff and service excellent. Breakfast hot and plenty of it. Definitely stay again.

We booked this hotel because we had an early flight the following morning so wanted to stay local to the airport. Easy location to find, friendly and helpful staff, room was of a good size and cleaned to the highest standards. Breakfast doesn't open until 4am but the staff set up early as we were getting the free transfer bus at 4am. Will definitely stay here again next time we fly from Cardiff.

Situated in remote position next to Cardiff airport. Stars based on that. Staff were good and helpful. Limited food choice. Room was adequate for a night's stay.

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Good evening food from a limited menu, usual HIE included breakfast options from 6am (continental from 4am), BUT a limited number of staff meant that the reception and bar service was the slowest I have ever experienced.

Nice budget hotel right next to Cardiff Airport. Stopped here after a late night flight from Edinburgh. 10 minute walk (maximum) from Cardiff Airport so very convenient. Staff very friendly and welcoming, even at 11pm! Room was standard for a hotel — double bed with additional couch bed, bathroom with shower cubicle and desk with TV. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room also. Each person also gets breakfast included in price. Breakfast was standard continental with 4-item cooked buffet available (sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs and beans). Fresh baps also available to make takeaway breakfast sandwiches — this is encouraged by staff if you are heading to the airport! Last bonus… Free Wi-Fi is available! All in all, good stay and will use again if in Cardiff!

Located quite near the airport in Cardiff, the holiday inn offers reasonably priced accommodation. It's a little out from Cardiff itself but you can get transport from the airport — taxis can be booked from inside the airport terminal itself. The room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable and I'd happily stay here again when next I'm in Cardiff.

Convenient hotel just outside Cardiff airport. Two useful extras are shuttle to the airport (5min) and breackfast available from 4am great for early flights. We really appreciated the shuttle, the breackfast was all right although I would not recommend the coffee. The double room was nice with a sofa and a nice big shower. The downside was the aircon that even if we turned it down to the minimum was very noisy.

The hotel is clean staff are friendly will do anything to make your stay better Ideal base to go out exploring you get breakfast in the morning. Really enjoyed are stay.

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The problem is the chain and how it is managed: with no consideration for customer satisfaction. It’s impossible to transfer one booking to another Holiday Express nearby, even by paying a premium. Hence the rating. Also the restaurant lacks charm, smells iffy and serves the same below-average dinner food in every one of their hotels.

I stayed here last night (13th Mar 2018) for one night. Met the very helpful Sara on reception who I ended up having a lovely chat with. (Every Holiday inn should have a Sara).
Room was clean and very nice.
I had the lasagna from the dinner menu and this is the reason for giving 4 star. Although it was large and came with unexpected chips, there was far too much cheese on it which kind of ruined it. Then the Apple pie and custard came out half way through dinner, so it was taken back, to be brought out after dinner. Apple pie was so nice, but the custard had gone cold. Oh well.
Breakfast was good. All self serve.
Check out was very quick and simple.
Would I stay again? Yes.

Bedroom okay comfy bed for the restaurant and loung no heating freezing in this rooms. Weather so bad stuck in hotel can't get out food okay staff very nice I have asked to put the heating on they said it is broken and they cant work it everyone wearing gloves hats and coats.

The hotel was perfect no problems. The issue was the restaurant. Firstly a door had been left open for what must have been a while as it was very cold in the restaurant. Then they were very slow when taking orders at the till. I believe they were understaffed. They cooked the pie I ordered and only told me there wouldn't be gravy after it had come out. I was offered a change but then had to wait for my pizza. I was compensated with a dessert but then that took 20 minutes to come out only after I'd reminded them about it.

Having read all the comments and reviews below extending back over a year, it would appear that this hotel has taken note of the previous poor reviews judging by my stay here for a few nights this past week. All the staff were lovely and very helpful and chatty. For dinner the first night I had fish and chips. It was a little pricey and I was disappointed that it wasn’t proper battered fish, but was more like a frozen breaded fish you’d buy from a supermarket — and it wasn’t very big. The chips were amazing though! Second dinner I had was the New Yorker chicken. That meal was amazing. Really enjoyed it and the meal was a substantial size. I also tried their 4 cheese pizza as a late night snack and it was amazing as pizzas go. The room was clean, well arranged and very nice. Only downside was that it was freezing when you first arrived in the room. Also, they only put 2 tea bags on the room. A lot of people would want to drink a lot more than two cups of tea (as I do) and not enough milk pots either. However, staff gave additional supplies easily when asked. Breakfast choice was good, and the latte I had from the machine tasted great! Overall a very nice stay. Thank you.

Being a short walk from the terminal is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Decent buffet breakfast and Wi-Fi included in the price. Rooms are small but very much normal for an Express. Nothing whatsoever to really dislike.

We used it for an early flight from Cardiff airport. Parking on site. Early morning wake up call actually happened most hotels forget… Staff very helpful. Transfers easy and quick, friendly and polite drivers.

Food is reasonably priced, location is great with quick transfers to the airport. The only let down was the small bed for our son wasn't comfortable at all.

We don't hate this place and in fact we call in on our way to the airport quite often. We have also stayed here to catch early morning flights, but on our short visit last week we got a parking ticket for £100 as we didn't sign in with our registration number. We saw no indication that this was necessary and were only there for 45 minutes. This is an hotel; is it normal to ask a private parking company to run your carpark. We hope that the management see this and take some action by the way we assumed that this was a free carpark and certainly did not see any signage, though to be honest we were not looking for it.

Parking is free, but you have to register your number plate, as otherwise you will be presented a 100 pounds bill. Over night prises range from 61 — 81 pounds. Food is limited, but acceptable. Jacked Potatoes 6.50 pounds, Pizza 11.95 pounds. Coffee 1.50 pound, small cup. Not a hotel to stay long, but reasonable, if you want to fly relaxed, as just beside the airport.

Of all the express holiday inns I stayed in, this has to be the poorest — old, shabby and in urgent need of a clean (the shower curtain was simply disgusting). At £125 a night they were simply milking the fact Coldplay were performing on the night. Reception staff were nice though, which sums up the positives.

An ideal stop over for us, saved a 2 hour drive before our flight. The staff were great and really looked after us, the only thing that spoiled it were the Polish loud mouthed piss heads that were drinking their own cans of beer even at 8 o'clock this morning!

Hotel is very handy for the airport. Staff are very friendly. Rooms have everything you need for an overnight stay. Slight issue with bathroom as shower flooded the floor. Breakfast had a good choice.

Hotel staff can't do enough to help, great Customer Service. Rooms are good for the rate. Noisy people leaving at 04:30 woke me up, reception offered to ensure I have an end of corridor room on my next stay whilst I checked out, this will be really appreciated thanks.

Great for Cardiff Airport, Book one night and leave car for two weeks at a reasonable price, free bus to the airport and use telephone at the airport for return pickup, clean and tidy, good restaurant for evening meal (extra). Book online for best prices.

Clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. The only gripe is the bedroom doors are really loud when they close (not good at 2 am) Otherwise ok.

Not to the best standards of business people, wi fi was not working for two days Breakfast below expectations, very limited choices and it was removed before time.

I had booked my room online a few months back for me and my partner, on arrival I was asked to hand over a £100 cash deposit. I was informed that it was a new policy brought into effect two weeks ago due to lots of room damages. I explained this was unacceptable as we hadn't been notified and was basically being asked to pay twice for my stay, using almost all of my disposable cash. Thankfully they allowed us to pay £30 instead, so beware if you are staying here and planning to pay cash! The room was clean and well presented, the bed and sofa was very comfy and the choice of pillows was a nice touch. We bought super fast internet (free Wi-Fi is 512 kbps, 'superfast' was 5 mbps) which was good enough to allow us to stream movies. We also brought our own HDMI cable to connect our laptop to the TV in our room. Tea and coffee are offered in the room, toiletries and more drinks are available on request. The hotel offeres a laundry room, meeting room, shuttle service, games room, free breakfast, bar and restaurant in the afternoon and evening. The area is lovely despite the airport, all rooms are soundproofed to noise isn't an issue. Overall we enjoyed our stay but will probably look for somewhere slightly closer to family next time.

Had family member staying at holiday inn in Cardiff airport family member visited for a drink and to say hello and got a parking ticket from them do not stay at thier hotels as no one will come to see you for fear of being fined shame on you.

Spring sticking our of mattress. No bread buns at breakfast. Croissants undercooked. Coffee tasteless. Overall very disappointed.

I like the room space & service. But still need to improve standards. Wi-Fi is not good speed, complementary Breakfasts menu can be improved. May replace the old furniture I have attached a picture of the bed for reference.

Next to airport, door bus, looks like the night 23: 30, walk 15 minutes to the beach, see Strait. Around nothing.
