Highly recommend the Norton house as a wedding venue and also a fabulous hotel for sight seeing in the area.
From the first meeting we had about arranging our wedding right up until we left after our long weekend of celebrations we had excellent service from all staff. Everything on the wedding day went as planned and the food for both the wedding breakfast and evening Buffett was outstanding. We had a fabulous wedding day and weekend.

Couldn't recommend The Norton House Hotel enough. We celebrated my mam and stepdad's wedding yesterday. It was a total success. The service, the food and the whole experience was superb! Their friendly staff couldn't do enough for us. You made their day very special and their guests couldn't speak highly enough of the service all round. Massive Thank you to Ruth and the manager of the hotel especially for seeing to our every need. 👍

I cannot recommend Norton House Hotel enough. I don’t really know where to begin with this review. After our original Gower wedding venue would not accommodate an outdoor wedding reception (when Covid rules changed) for us on the 1st May, we contacted Norton House Hotel with only 20 days to go until the big day. From the very first contact, Norton House were nothing but helpful, accommodating and so so nice. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we found it so strange that the answer ‘yes’ was given to everything we asked (after having months of ‘no’ from the other venue). Norton House Hotel give us the most perfect, wonderful and special wedding day which exceeded our expectations by far. Our friends have all said it’s the best wedding they have been too & how nice all of the staff were. The owner of Norton House Hotel, Alan, is as our friends put it, an absolute Legend and really was our hero. The manager Graeme is also an absolute star and worked so hard to give us the best day. All of the other staff (did not get their names) and the chef were superb too. I really have no faults and can honestly without a shadow of a doubt recommend Norton House Hotel for a getaway or as a wedding venue. ❤️ p. S. The food at the wedding reception, the breakfast and the bar food were all 10/10 ⭐️

Lovely hotel, really great room with views overlooking the sea, the service was great at all times and the breakfast was amazing! Will 100% be returning to Norton house in the near future. Xa.

Lovely Easter break at the Norton hotel even under the current restrictions.
It’s our 3rd stay here, we had a problem with the heating in our room and the issue was sorted out promptly.
Costas looked after us, and he went above & beyond sorting out our room change. Such a pleasant man, a credit to the hotel.

We went for food last night and had the 3 course set menu and it was delicious one of the best meals I have had will def be back soon.

So pleased we stumbled across this hotels restaurant (an arrangement with our closeby guesthouse for parking! ). Wow.

Food, service and surrounding are excellent, nothing is too much trouble, we have never left feeling disappointed. The lunch time menu uses seasonal, fresh produce and is exceptional value for money.

Fantastic venue for wedding, food and accommodation.

Pros: Great food, lovely location with mature well maintained gardens. Well run with decent accommodation, friendly staff and ample off road parking. Cons: Only one bar which was so small, only one person attending the bar. No where for us to go while the room was being prepared for the wedding lunch. (Lucky it wasn’t raining as we were outside waiting) It would have been great if we could have sat in a lounge, most had to stand as there was very little outside seating. Other than that it’s great. Worthy of 5 stars if improved.

This is a top class restaurant on every level. The service is impeccable, the food is outstanding and the overall ambience of this beautiful mansion is delightful. On a sunny day you can sit in the garden and enjoy a coffee after your meal. The lobster is divine by the way and all the meals are presented with panache. The wine list is not as exciting as the menu but nevertheless offers decent wines. The chef is absolutely amazing!

Called in on the off chance and could not be happier. Wonderful welcome, really good food and excellent service. We had the early bird meal and it was so good. I had a dessert of bread and butter pudding which is my very favourite and it was really really good. Thank you, most enjoyable time spent with you.

This place is not equipped for the Summer. The room was absolutely boiling. We waited 5 hours for the fan to be brought, which was useless. It had more character than the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We told staff on reception we were awake all night as the room was too hot. They didn't care and not even an apology. They charge £5 pp for room service and that is not even written anywhere, I find this a rip off as the hotel is no bigger than a large house. The sash window was dangerous as it was not weighted. Room needs air conditioning and a fridge. Screws were sticking out of the bed slats. Charged us double as we already paid and they didn't believe us and they had to refund us.

We can't thank Alan, Amy and all the staff at the Norton House enough. The first time we visited the beautiful venue we felt the relaxed atmosphere and knew it was the right place for us to get married. Everything was just perfect. The venue and the rooms are beautifully decorated, the food is outstanding and the staff were efficient, excellent and so friendly. If we could do the celebration again, we would certainly choose the Norton House. A huge thank you again for helping make our day so special xx.

Can not thank Alan and the staff enough for what they did for our wedding. They helped make our wedding perfect. All staff worked so hard and nothing was too much trouble. From first enquiry to the morning after the wedding we were made to feel special. The food was amazing and enjoyed by all the guests. No complaints at all. The renovations are brilliant and everyone was so impressed. Would highly recommend to anyone considering getting married here.

Really have fallen in love with this place! Fantastic food, service and facilities. A friendly, chilled atmosphere. My third stay here now, will be returning back very soon!

Ok, but only if you like seafood. The menu is very limited, no chicken or steak. It does call itself a seafood bistro but if you are eating as a group of 4 or more people the likelihood is that 1 person won't like seafood and the choice beside is limited to about 5 options. The main course itself is well executed, the seafood is very good, but not the best I've had. Dessert was good coffee very disappointing, it tasted stewed and was brought before the desserts were served. As for the price, I've eaten better for less. Service was good, not the fastest, but attentive and polite.

My 70th Birthday celebration was held at the Norton House Hotel on January18th 2015 together with family and friends and it was fantastic. The venue was beautiful, warm and welcoming, the food and service was superb and the Management and staff were extremely helpful and courteous. It couldn't have been better. My family and friends were also very impressed. I would thoroughly recommend this venue to anyone.

Food at this hotel is fab. Accomadation is correctly 3 star, however it is clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Dinner as part of a large group this week. Altough the Hotel looks like Sybil and Basil have just left, there is nothing Fawlty about this place. Nice bar and spooky, self-playing piano. We had a good three course meal with the starters particularly memorable, mains were fine, but veg a bit unimaginative. Puddings were good. Service was perfectly OK and prices seems reasonable to me. Clearly a place for receptions and parties, but OK too for a smaller group. There are also bedrooms upstairs.

We had our wedding reception at Norton House on 19th june 2011, it was the best day we could have had, the venue was fantastic, the staff were wonderful couldnt do enough for you, the hog roast was fantastic, all the guests said what a fantastic time they had, the resident DJ was great he played all the type of music you wanted him to play. The bridal suite was lovely, we could not fault anything and more importantly neither could any of our guests and we had a few who would have if they could find something to moan about. Sue and the manager (sorry we cant remember your name! ) were fab they helped his to make the day a truely wonderful day. Thank you all at Norton House.
