Had our dog with us so had to have our meal in the bar area,. But no complaints, The food was excellent!. Real veg not frozen, I had the steak pie 10 out of 10. Not one bit of fat all prime steak. Will definitely be going again.

Stayed here for one night. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Room was lovely and was changed to suit us last minute. Would definitely recommend to stay in such a beautiful place.

Lovely surroundings, clean and spacious room with nice design, friendly staff and a superb location. Breakfast was top notch. Overall, the only thing we could possibly fault was a slightly hard mattress, but we are used to sleeping on memory foam so it wasn't a major issue, just not what we have become used to! Great hotel, highly recommended.

A nice pub with brilliant local beer, good food, quick and friendly service. If the weather is decent then I highly recommend sitting out the front as there are some beautiful views.

Another of our regular meal time favourites. However when they are really busy we tend to stay away as we've had horrible experience as staff are pushed to there limits and mistakes are made. Dog friendly and close to some beautiful beaches.

Order two points and a large chips. Chips took ages and when arrived it transpires they misheard and charged me for a small portion. No correction to the order, felt like maybe they thought I was trying it on. Beer was very good and the chips I ordered just as a quick snack to share with a friend were very well cooked. I would visit again as I trust the error was not intended and was not a massive issue. Lovely place too. Not my first visit, won't be my last.

The food was really nice, with locally sourced produce. The only issue we had was with one of the younger waitresses who was repeatedly very forgetful with orders, which became a pain. The room was very nicely decorated and felt very luxurious. We did however have a few concerns regarding the room. Firstly, the underfloor heating was on constant and despite having the windows open, it was very hot! The pillows and mattress were too firm and we weren’t initially given the option to have soft pillows, which would’ve been nice. Overall, we had a lovely time here. Scenery was particularly special and we found a very good deal through Secret Escapes.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff we were going to eat but they were full booked. So they phoned the next pub on route and booked us a table!. Great beer also. Highly recommend place. Will eat there tomorrow.

Set in an absolutely beautiful location, this cosy, rustic pub is perfect for a winter warm or a summer cool off! A large variety of drinks at the bar available and lovely food on the menu. Perfect for stopping in after walking the dog on the surrounding gower beaches!

Fantastic pub with excellent food and brilliant service. I would recommend the 16oz rump steak, although be prepared to eat. I couldn't quite finish, despite trying several times to conquer the mountain of deliciousness. I heard this place had a lot of options when it came to alcoholic beverages, but I was still blown away by the staggering amount they had available. It's an excellent way to find your way around some different scotch whiskys and they also had a good variety of gins available which kept my partner happy. Great Job guys. I'd like to come back and visit soon.

Excellent dog friendly pub. The service was really quick, especially as there was 18 of us. Really welcoming with great pub food.

If you’re walking the dogs in the Gower and want somewhere to eat then look no further than the Kings Head. Dogs allowed in the bar. Great selection of ales, beers and gin. Food in the bar is excellent with a wide selection of specials and a set lunch menu.

Fabulous place to stay, rooms immaculate with underfloor heating. Lush food and plenty of it, especially the breakfast. Staff very helpful, and all at the Inn are very friendly. Will be back ☺

Great pub! Food was delicious and good price. Very busy so worth booking. Would recommend a visit, will be going back when we are next in the gower.

Possibly my favourite pub down the Gower. The place welcomes everyone, be you a couple, a family or even a dog. There's a great selection on the menu with a good choice of specials on the board. A nice selection of drinks behind the bar. You can see the beach/dunes from the pub which are only about a 10/15 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive. This place is always full during the summer or when there is a bit of nice weather. Well worth a visit, make sure to book a table if you plan on having a meal as it can be quite busy in the evenings too for food.

The Inn is in the middle of a small town in south Wales, with nice views. The food is quite standard pub quality and is overall fine. Nice atmosphere and a rustic feel with the exposed stone walls and log piles. Overall not a bad place.

Absolutely loved this place, spent a wonderful bank holiday weekend here. The staff are all great and the food is excellent. We stayed in the cottage next door and the room was very nice with a big on suite bathroom and huge bath. The breakfast was more than adequate with a help yourself of cereal, juice, toast, yogurt and tea & coffee and of course a choice of fully cooked items. The only point I will make is if you take your pooch as we did you will have to eat in the bar area. I have no issue with this as I am just glad they are so welcoming to our four legged friends, but on a busy night the locals can get a bit loud and it is a bit disturbing while trying to eat as the tables are open to the bar. But as I say this is the only issue we had and it didn't really spoil our stay.

This place claims to be 4 star rated — I will be questioning that as I assume the 4 stars covers service as well as facilities. The service at the Kings Head was 2 stars at best! Arrived on Friday after 3 p. M. — checked in, shown to our room which was not ready! Asked to leave our bags and go down to the pub and wait! We did this, had a drink and waited half an hour until the cleaner waved at us from the other end of the bar to indicate that our room was ready. Clearly couldn't be bothered to come and appologise for keeping us waiting and tell us our room was ready! We booked a table in the pub for dinner, our starter (both had mussels) were lovely, hubby had the lamb main — nice, I had the half roasted duck, new potatoes and veg … no sauce or gravy and the duck was overcooked and dry so couldn't eat it all — there is only so much dry meat that you can eat! Gentleman on the table next to us complained that the duck was dry and not nice too. When I complained, the waitress agreed to take my meal off the bill — fair enough! Went to bed — slept badly as the mattress was probably the hardest mattress I have ever slept on! Breakfast on Saturday was good, no complaints there. Had a lovely day out and about on the Gower. Dinner on Saturday, table booked for 7.30 … arrived, ordered starters and mains (at the bar, on our tab). Starters arrived — hubby had salmon, I'd ordered mussels again but pate arrived! This was quickly changed for my mussels.

Absolutely love the Gower beer, I've eaten there a few times and have not had a bad meal. Today I had "Darne Salmon", which was delicious, accompanied with Gower Gold, what a combination! I'd recomnend.

The owners were lovely and welcoming. The house was clean and warm. The room was perfect; uncredibly comfortable bed with a perfect sea view. Planning in visiting there again.

Went here on a sunny day this weekend for a break from the hike. This is a lovely place with outdoor seating (dog friendly) in the sunshine as well as indoor seating to protect from the wind. Service was polite and prompt, I tried a local gower ale (gower gold I think) and there are other local ales you can sample here. Would definitely recommend to others.

An atmosphere as rustic as their menu greets you as you walk through the door. Staff with a welcoming smile took my order of the gorgeous home made Dragons Breath curry, all washed down with a fantastic pint of Gower Gold whilst sat next to the fire.

A bit pricy but staff were nice, food was lovely, venison burger. Nice that dogs are allowed in the bottom bar.

The Thai green curry is a MUST try. The Penclawdd pizza is also amazing. :)

I chose the Dragons Breathe, a lamb curry. Options were to have it served with rice or half portions of rice & chips. I chose rice and was very disappointed to be given a tiny portion of rice along with a tiny portion of Curry. The papadom was like rubber and I sent it back, the replacement was fine. The NAN bread was tiny and the whole meal was pathetically small. Some of the other people dining with me had similar problems, especially with the lack of food. The lemonade came out as fizzy water, as the syrup had run out, they replaced this eventually and then this was also fine. The lamb curry was very fatty and gave me indigestion for the remainder of the night, so despite other peoples good experiences I will not be visiting the Kings Head again. If you do decide to visit, avoid any of the curry, and make it clear that you would like a decent size portion. Any restaurant that offers chips with a curry must be very suspect.

Awesome food great service. Staff really friendly. Best chips I have had for years not too greasy but well tasty. Would definitely go there again.

Excellent food, huge variety, went on curry night but was able to order from the main menu still. Staff very polite, made our dogs welcome in the bar. Highly recommend a visit here. Excellent.

Take plenty of money. Staff could smile when they take it. Good atmosphere though.
