Really fantastic on a hot sunny day. Properly challenging parkland course, immaculate, £25 a round. Friendly pro shop and members. Would take this over the moonscape torture rack that is Pennard (£75! ) any day. Will be back… :-)

We had our wedding at the gower golf club. Amazing location with amazing views. The food was outstanding and Adrian and Bev couldn't do enough to make our day special. Our guest were constantly saying how great the food was and it was the best wedding location and food they could of had. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights, a very friendly place to stay in a wonderful country setting with views over the estuary. Adrian was an attentive friendly host as were all the staff. I would recommend it.

A challenging course with two iconic holes, the 8th and 10th for all golfers to enjoy! Excellent practice facilities with its own range and a separate approach shots area. This is topped off with a fantastic modern clubhouse.

Radiator not working was freezing when we got there. Electric socket above headboard loose. Had to stand on a chair to turn TV on and to change channel as remote wasn't working. Oh and at breakfast time other guests children running around in breakfast lounge. Can I say more.

Although we appeared to be the only Guests staying there over night, the Staff couldn't have been more friendly; Bar food was excellent and room was pleasant, clean and well laid out with an en-suite facility. Really very good for £70/night.

Me and my Fiancé booked our wedding here for 2020 after reading the front page news of local papers at the £36, 000 fine they have received for dirty kitchens we have cancelled. We then thought as this issue was not from ourselves they would as a good will gesture return our deposit to enable us to book a new venue. This has not been the case instead I have found myself in a back and forth text and email war which I am not long her prepared to do! I would not recommend this venue!

Food was nice but the golf course was shocking! Some of the greens were virtually unplayable & the fairways were way to long.

Great facilities, awesome views from the course, but some teeing areas were poor and greens were very average, lots of bare patches.

Staff is very kind, service is quick, haven't tried golfing there but the place was surrounded with amazing nature!

I have had 2 meals at The Gower Golf Club over the last couple of days and they have both been excellent. The chips are to die for. The sea bass was very tasty and the gammon melted in the mouth. I have to mention the pudding. Rhubarb crumble with icecream, delicious.

The service was excellent. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed a few rounds although my playing partner was losing Wilson Staff balls every hole… he's a mate what can you do, I'll be back %

A lovely course, friendly staff, reasonably priced, a very enjoyable place.

I appreciate we have had a very poor Winter but most of the greens were waterlogged and not cut well which made putting almost impossible. Flags were torn and hanging off their poles. Serveral of the tees were overgrown and the grass was the same height as my pink tee. In fact most of the course was badly cut, including fairways. I lost balls that plugged in the fairway on the 10th hole and could barely tee off on the 11th as the tee was in such a state. Having played this course regularly over the past few years and enjoyed its layout and condition I'm disappointed to say I won't be playing there again.

Amazing service, lovely friendly owners, Bev and Adrian who can't do enough for you. This is mirrored by the staff. I would recommend this place for any event including weddings. You won't be disappointed. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Had an amazing dinner, all of the staff couldn’t do enough to help and ensured that we had enough food to choose from. My other half said it was the best dinner she’d ever had, we’re both very excited to celebrate our big day here! Would recommend to anyone!

I got married on the 10.02.18 and I really couldn't have asked for more from Bev, Adrian and staff they were absolutely amazing, no request was to big. The venue looked stunning and the food! 'Ohh the food' everyone commented on how good it was. Me and my new husband would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our day so special. Beverly you were outstanding thank you so much. Highly recommend as a wedding venue, you will not be disappointed xxx.

Great for smaller wedding parties, fantastic staff, mouthwatering cuisine with beautiful views over the Gower Golf range, always friendly welcoming staff.

Lovely barn conversion but staff were disorganized and not presented great. I'd have expected more professionalism.

I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the service and professionalism recieved from Bev and her wonderful staff at the Gower Golf Club on Saturday 16th September 2017. Myself and my Bride had the pleasure and luck to choose the Gower Golf Club for our Wedding Venue after meeting with Bev for the first time a year ago. Since day one, Bev has been a genuine credit to the club, and to us in preparation for the biggest day of our lives. What should have been a huge stress fille…d time making arrangements for the day and night (and sometimes it was! ), she turned it into a calm and swiftly made affair. Bev was simply outstanding and put our worries to rest many times in the build up, only to completely leave us in awe on the day itself when we saw what she had done with the help of the decorators. The Bar Staff were great, friendly and very busy that Evening so please pass on our thanks. The food was fantastic for the Wedding Breakfast and the evening Buffet, not a hungry guest in sight and all complimented the arrangements, please let the Chef know for us. We can't thank our new Friend Bev enough, words would not cover it. May you continue to be a credit to other future couple's in the planning of many more Weddings to come, they'd be lucky to have you on their team as we were. See you soon Bev, as we'll be back! Not bad for a nights stay when working. Great views from the course. Bigger TV's & Rooms could do with updating though.

Wedding function: It is now 7.45 and we have been sat waiting since 6pm for food. The band are due to be on at 8pm but we have two courses to go through and speeches. Evening guests are now arriving. Chaos.

Really welcoming staff as soon as we got there, the course was good fun with some really challenging holes, We will be back again100% and will be looking at a membership! Thanks for the great days golf.

Recently played in the Captains Charity day at the Gower Golf. First time I have played there and course and welcome was very good. The half way stop by the excellent par 5 hole 8th was very well managed and hosted by Gower Golf Ladies. The round could have finished there.

No ice, gin and vodka had to be fetched from the stores. Food was returned twice. Nice views.

You get great golf, great views and friendly staff.
The views out across the Lougher estuary from the first six holes are up there with the best of the Gower.
Then the quality of the golf that the course provides you with is top notch. Every hole gives you a different challange, from the first hole with a fairway sloping from right to left, to the long downhill eighth, all 507 yds, and then the tee of the 14th, which has been created on an old coal mine providing a platform for the tee twenty feet above the fairway. You finish on the 18th a hole that desends from one of the highest points on the course, down across the drive on to a picturesque green, edged with oak trees infront of the club house.
This has to be up there with one of the best courses in the UK.

Great but tough course, with fantastic views. Sunday lunch is a must also.

Summary — Awful service in a wonderful location, definitely not recommended. Please read on. Recently had the misfortune to book the club for the reception of my sons christening. We arrived slightly early (about 10 minutes) and were ushered to a side bar, which later surprised us as this turned out to be the actual function room! Not enough room for guests to sit down even though we had deliberately over estimated our guest list. Asked as to when we would like the food put out we said 'As soon as possible please'. It arrived shortly after and filled approx half the table that was left for this purpose. Three people asked if that was all the food, three staff members said 'Yes'. Like a few other parents, I popped outside for a very short period to keep the 'little ones' happy. When we got back all the 'edible' food had gone. Nobody had taken stupidly stacked plates nor had seconds. Simply not enough food to go around. When I asked our guests they said that the sandwiches were stale and most of the other food faired no better. 'Cheap tasting' as a family member stated. Although not impressed we paid. The following day we realised that the menu we had been previously sent contained more food than what we had at the actual buffet. We phoned and complained. The club phoned back and basically blamed us for turning up late! WE ARRIVED SLIGHTLY EARLY!
