Just spent a lovely evening here. From the time we walked in nothing was too much trouble. Very attentive staff especially the tall young man who went above and beyond. He was so polite and a real credit. Food was delicious. Good value for money and all home cooked which we like. Decor was warm and friendly. Will definitely be returning and can’t recommend this lovely pub enough 😊😉

Had a lovely lunch here today with friends, fresh locally produced produce. Nice menu choices with good selection of drinks! Also friendly polite service. Lovely new beer garden also to relax in. ❤️

Everything. Very poor breakfast honey crystaled. Full fat milk no semi skimmed. No biscuits in room. Old fashion room. Door to bedroom very stiff nearly pulled handle off. Main meal tastless and no varied menu to choose.

Varied menu, wonderful friendly prompt service and the food was beautiful, lovely environment and spotlessly clean throughout, do yourselves a favour and eat there, or as I did, spend time, cant reccomend this place enough. X.

The presentation of the food matched the taste absolutely amazing melt in your mouth job, very friendly staff nothing was to much trouble for them, great atmosphere in the pub and very well priced food and drinks, will definitely be going back.

Called lunchtime today, had the homemade scotch egg from the grazing menu. Food outstanding, lovely relaxed atmosphere, staff very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

We found The New Court by chance and have eaten there on many Sundays since. Lovely staff, quaint pub and amazing food. Cannot recommend their Sunday lunches enough. Beautifully cooked meats, plenty of fresh veg and gravy … Oh and dont forget their homemade yorkshire puddings. We love it here!

Not a great place to stay to be honest with you. Booked 2 nights here in July 2018 but only stayed the 1 as the rooms were small, cramped and very dated and the showers were tiny. As a 6ft 4" person it was a very uncomfortable stay. In addition, breakfast wasn't served until 0730 which is too late as I needed to leave for work by 0700 so I didn't even get to have any breakfast. No one was around when I checked out so I just had to leave the room keys behind the bar (i hope they found them). Maybe if you are visiting this hotel for leisure and you don't mind being cramped then it isn't a bad place however I would not recommend for business use.

Sunday lunch is the bomb. Staff are great and they got the best chef his cooking is fantastic.

First visit for me although my partner had been before as a musician on one of the jam nights. Had a meal last night which we really enjoyed. The menu included so many delicious sounding ingredients, we found it difficult to make a choice. Everything was cooked and presented beautifully. The Hotel is clean and decorated simply but tastefully and has a friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming. I think we are going to have to return soon to sample the rest of the menu.

Just returned form a one night stay and have to say it was lovely. Room was spotless, food Friday night and breakfast was really good with fresh homemade made bread, butter and yogurt. Great selection of real ales and cider. Service was great. Would definitely recommend a stay and we will be returning for another relaxing break.

The food here is absolutely top quality and the staff are very helpful. As an example, we ate out with our 12 week old son today who was a little unsettled. The staff kindly bought out our meals separately so my husband and I were able to soothe our little boy and both enjoy a hot meal. This is our restaurant of choice for the local area. We have never had any food here below an excellent standard. I can not recommend this place highly enough!

Really nice lunch here. Travelling from Cheshire to Cardiff. Found the place via Google maps and what a good find! Many choices on a varied lunch menu. I had the fish pie which was tasty and good value. Others had bacon sandwiches (huge) and fish and chips, similarly substantial in size and well cooked. Service was timely and friendly. Well worth a visit and just a couple of minutes from the main road to Newport and Cardiff.

Had a wonderful stay — staff so nice and friendly! Peter is a top chef and food was perfect — disappointed I forgot to try the salmon at breakfast which he smokes himself! It was Jazz night and recommend as a great band and people and even was invited to sing! Thank you — a great gem in a little town! Hope to see you again! Ronnie!

Came for a meal last night with my fiance and was instantly hit by the smell of beautiful food. I had the fillet of beef medium rare and I was not disappointed, cooked to perfection and well seasoned. My fiance had the fish and chips and looked very good. Would definitely recommend if you want amazing food and a great atmosphere and if your not full try the trio of chocolate desserts AMAZING.

I love this place the staff are friendly and accomodating, the food has always been lovely. We called in yesterday and had the sunday lunch menucooked by the new chef. Omg the lamb I had was amazing, it melted in your mouth. Eveything is well presented. Its a good 45 minute drive for us to get to the new court but belive me its worth the trip. I highly recommend this place.
