Relaxing surroundings, delicious food. Superb staff very attentive.

A beautiful setting, sunset, beautifully crafted outdoor seating area and spoiled by rock and roll music on repeat same songs over and over. Atmosphere spoiled food overpriced also. Very disappointed by the quality of the lasagne that tasted like it came out of a freezer. I actually could not find any beef in it! my daughters hallumi burger was stacked battered halloumi fingers. Little things too like shoo bought coleslaw and frozen chips. Don't really expect that for 15 quid plus for something that didn't stand out for presentation, taste or value for money or portion size. Bland, boring. We won't be returning which is sad as been previously and food was stunning.

First visit yesterday and it was fantastic. All staff incredibly friendly. Play area for the dog. Food was delicious.

Arrived at The Greyhound Inn Usk. To a warm welcome. Beautiful surroundings. Ample parking area. We booked a double room with dog friendly requirements. It didn’t disappoint. Room was spacious and spotless. On the ground floor. Even a dog blanket with double bowl with treats for our Bull terrier Doris. Fantastic dog play area I would say the size of a field for a horse. Lol. With various utility play toys for your pooch. Totally secure for them to be let off the leash. The restaurant and bar was so welcoming with great Bar staff who couldn’t do enough for you. They welcomed us and Doris our pooch with open arms. Excellent menus. Food was fantastic. Strongly recommend the steaks 🥩 which are locally sourced. And the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. Great nights sleep in the room very quiet. Breakfast again was beautiful with local sourced produce. We can’t fault it. Will definitely be booking again soon hopefully. Like to thank Kelly and her team for making our stay memorable. Look forward to seeing you all soon again. 🐾🐾

My partner & I stopped for Lunch on Monday and I must say the food was scrumptious! We sat out on the sun terrace with our little dog 🐾 great atmosphere, lovely views, really friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to assist, lovely to find a fabulous pub which is really dog friendly too, Will definitely be paying more visits and would highly recommend ❤️

We booked a table for our wedding anniversary at The Greyhound Inn and had a wonderful evening in relaxed surroundings. Lovely warm welcome from staff for us and our greyhound (who enjoyed her treat and the attention)! It might be a reduced menu at the moment (Oct20) but there was still a good selection of vegetarian/vegan options. The mushroom stroganoff was really tasty and not drowned in cream (a personal dislike). Dog friendly and warm. Recommended.

We would recommend the Greyhound Inn, beautiful setting, food is gorgeous and staff are so welcoming. My sons 21st last night and all kitchen and waitresses bar staff came with a cake and sang happy birthday with us. I Booked one of they're beautiful rooms for him and his girlfriend to stay as a surprise and he's absolutely loved it. So thank you all we'll definitely be back…

Spent 5 nights in the area and we visited the pub whilst in the area. We had food on 2 occasions and it was excellent. Kelly and Steve both made us both very welcome. We loved their hospitality and the “Butty Bach” real ale. We loved it so much that we are returning in December to stay at the pub for a couple of nights. Thx again for your hospitality Steve, Kelly and Frankie.

Another lovely stay last night for Valentine's Night. Good food, great staff and cosy atmosphere.
Loved the 80's theme and disco! the staff in dayglo RaRa skirts and legwarmers is an image that'll be hard to shift! Strange how the blokes seemed to actually suit the look!
Highly recommended for a relaxing and fun break away. Beautiful setting, log fires, traditional pub/inn.

We dj regular for kelly at the greyhound inn it's a lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff nothing to much trouble, dog friendly a really cosy place I love it here.

Lovely rooms away from the main inn building. Ground floor rooms have own patio space — lovely. Food is delicious and you can always be sure of a friendly welcome. It gets busy because it is popular.

Awesome venue for functions. Staff are welcoming and kelly made sure our party had everything we needed. Everyone's meal just perfect, one very happy group. Soul 'd out band where hired for all to enjoy. The friendly atmosphere made for an excellent day and evening. Accommodation would also be recommended by our group.

We had delicious food this evening, and the staff were all really friendly. We sat outside to eat as it was a lovely sunny evening. Our dog came too and sat under the table. Really lovely, would recommend.

Visited here today for a meal on the house as promised by kelly the manager /boss following a bad experience before. Kelly the manager was sooooooo lovely and down to earth. The food was fantastic for my husband and myself. The desserts were delicious! Please try the cheescake! Yum! Definitely will return. Such a lovely place and idyllic surroundings. Amazing place with stunning scenery and a traditional bar. A great food menu and very tasty food. Very comfortable rooms with plenty of space.

Great local country pub with good food and excellent service. Always a friendly welcome and a pretty garden to sit in when the sun shines. Highly recommended.

What a find. The food was wonderful I really was thrilled with the local trout and my friends steak was also delicious. The staff were very obliging. The pot of tea in their sumptious gardens was a delight. Will certainly be returning to try more of the menu.

What a gem of a find! This place is really lovely with friendly attentive service… and the food? Quite simply amazing — we had the prawn and salmon (proper melt in the mouth) and the soup (very very tasty! ) … and the roast? This wasn't your usual drowning in gravy roast. Every mouthful was delicious and all cooked fresh too… the veg, the potatoes, THAT cheesy cauliflower … and the duo roast of beef and pork. We're just sad we're so stuffed we can't manage desserts! Amazing — We'll be back! :)

Stayed Feb 15th with my partner for a special (one day late due to work commitments) Valentine's night. Accommodation outstanding and comfortable, quiet and with all the facilities you could wish for. Welcoming, friendly and very helpful staff led by the cheerful and bubbly Kelly, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Food was wonderful, as was the service, and being the sole diners at our own secluded table was a delightful bonus. Both for the evening meal and breakfast the following morning. Enjoyed a nice chat with Steve as well before departing. We had an extremely pleasant stay and will definitely be back. Thanks for making our stay a very memorable one. Angie & Pat.

Massive Thankyou to Kelly and the rest of the staff at the Greyhound Inn for your Amazing Hospitality looking after us and rest of family Whilst we was with you to celebrate my mother in laws 70th birthday weekend from the time we arrived we was looked after till the time we left yourself and staff was on hand if we needed anything I will recomend your hotel to friends for a great weekend or even for a day out for a meal we will be returning soon from David Catrin And rest of family x.

Tucked away in Monmouthshire 1st time we have ever stayed despite being brought up a few miles down the road. Very welcoming towards our little dog and made to feel welcome. Breakfast was good. Only downside, our room was literally 40mts away from the A449 so traffic noise quite prominent until 0200! That said the room was effectively triple glazed. Comfortable beds. One griping point… when you call to book, you ask the rate, and they respond by asking your postcode… the reason… if you live in a NP post code you can save £££££'s! Left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths as we paid £99 but when you arrive and read a sign telling you that you could pay £63 if you have an NP post code is it any wonder? Would stay again… but come on guys… don't advertise effective postcode lottery discrimination! Would recommend but with the reservations I mentioned…

We've been there for food a few times now and can't honestly find anything to be negative about. The food is always of a high quality, very tasty and not too expensive. Some people were complaining about waiting for food but I think it's better to wait because somewhere is busy than get served straight away somewhere where the food is poor. I will definitely be visiting again.

Love this place cosy and friendly in lovely surroundings, me and my husband have been here many times and the food has always been lovely we popped in recently and they had my favourite on the menu pork loin in an apricot gravy absolutely gorgeous! Can't wait to go back and try their samon in a lemon and chilli sauce. Well worth a visit you will definitely want to keep going back!.
