After just opening back up after covid.
Booked a night and couldn’t get settled because the room was so Cold, then took a shower and the water was freezing so called Receptsion and they had to move us to another room which was also ice cold. I was shivering and finally fell asleep at 8 am so not a very good experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful but there was no more she could do. I get they had only been open back up for 2 days after covid, but you would think they would have turned the heating up to thoroughly warm the whole building. The carpet actually felt damp it was that cold in our room. Felt the company itself did not take its customers into account for the way of their comfort and wanting them to be warm cozy and comfortable. I think it was more the point they were just happy to take our money!

Very well organised with all the new COVID recommendation, smelt looked and was lovely and clean, friendly helpful staff.

The staff here really make your stay a great one. I visit here a lot for work, the rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet.

Excellent and attentive team, who have the customer at the top of their list. Being a below knee amputee they have looked after me for the last 4 days and helped above & beyond what they should.
From reception, the breakfast team and the cleaning team all excellent
Over the next 6 months it is likely I will be there on a monthly basis and I look forward to getting to know them on 1st names.
They are all a credit to Premier Inn.

We stopped overnight with you on Saturday and have to say the team there are the best we have ever encountered. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them we were greeted promptly on arrival our room was lovely only one mishap but all dealt with very quickly. What a team you have there you clearly all get on feels more like a family than work colleagues we will definitely use you again when we come back Thank you for taking such great care of us xx.

Arrived here and on arrival such a friendly welcome, would recommend this place no problem.

Fire alarm went off at 6am… false alarm… I jumped out of bed… ran into the hall … no glasses on… this is what I saw… I travel a lot… this place had a terrific breakfast! Wonderful staff… too bad about the alarm, but stuff happens once in awhile.

Very welcoming and great place to stay, shame about the elevated prices when there's local events in the area!

This is the best Premier Inn I have ever stayed in the staff are friendly and helpful it's in a great area for cycling and the Inn is bike friendly too.

I stay in premier inn regularly and can say this is the best one I’ve ever stayed in, staff where very friendly and attentive, had a great nights sleep, I’d say it’s newly decorated, free Wi-Fi, breakfast good, plenty of parking and again the staff very pleasant and helpful, not all premier inns achieve this level of praise!

We absolutely loved our stay here we stayed Friday to the Monday and from check in to check out it was an amazing service from all staff. The breakfast was absoloutly beautiful couldn't fault it. I think the only thing me and my partner wasn't so keen on was the bed as we found it quite hard but that's down to personal preference. Nice and peaceful and is a good base hotel. We would without a doubt recommend and would 1000 % come back in the future.

The staff here were absolutely brill. Stayed here last night with my little lad after monster jam and the lady on the desk in the evening just fuelled his excitement for what he'd just seen! Brekkie was spot on and our room was lovely and clean. Can't fault it! We'll be back next year!

It was such a nice tidy place the servis was amazing by the repsepshanist and the breakfast was so amazing I realy love the pancakes omg they are so lush. One thing is I couldnt sleep but it isnt the hotels fault becaue the bed was cleen, warm and comfy it is becaue I carnt sleep any were exsept my own bed but the exspirens was amazing I will be goimg back again if im near.

Same as any Premier Inn really. Decent rooms and a decent bed for a decent price. Just off the main road with a Harvester next door and a McDonald's and KFC over the road. Staff extremely welcoming and happy to help. Breakfast is done in-house with cooked breakfast made to order and continental out for you. A bit stingy on the pancakes though!

Stayed here for an event. Ample parking and a pub next door.

This is a lovely hotel very clean and tidy. Food is excellent and breakfast is lovely too.

Noisy rooms. A bit dated and bathrooms have the look of a non Premier Inn hotel so it needs a proper refurbishment. Near a main road and the interconnecting doors mean you can hear what is being said in the room next to you. Feel Premier Inn took this hotel over and re-branded it on the cheap.

Again clean and tidy polite staff and helpful.

One of the best Premier Inns I've stayed in. Rooms were big, well kept and well equipped. Front desk staff were lovely and helpful. Also stonking value.

My husband & I are born & bred in/near Pontypool, but moved away to the Midlands a few years ago. We now book at this hotel every time we stay over when returning to the area to visit friends & family. The staff now remember us! which is a nice touch. Compared to others quite locally, I cannot fault it. The staff are always friendly, nothing is too much trouble. You can have breakfast (which is really nice), in the same building instead of across a carpark as in other branches. I'm guessing those who've commented about traffic noise live in tiny hamlet somewhere, as it's never bothered us!
Will be returning again soon!

Quiet location, handy for road/ rail / all only 15 min walk. Nice Ares along canal.

Staff are very friendly and the hotel is in a great location would definitely recommend it.

Lovely room. Can control temperature as the rooms can tend to get very warm. Fan also. Clean. Looking forward to breakfast looks lovely and they have soya milk. Brilliant for a dairy free me.

Amazing staff, our night clerk was legendarily helpful and friendly in our dire situation.

Right next to main road, traffic woke me at 6am, room was very warm even though there was a fan In the room. Couldn't leave it on at night as it was an annoying sound and couldn't get off to sleep. Didn't have breakfast as the cost of £6/£7 for a bacon and egg is to expensive, (Mcdonalds is across the road),
if your looking for somewhere just to crash for the night this is fine, I paid £34 for a sunday night for 3 of us.

Amazing! We use Premier Inn family rooms regularly due to the universal accessibility. However on arrival found that the bathroom in our room was not accessible for our son who is a wheelchair user. Lynne & Craig went above and beyond to accommodate us even letting us use our original room plus an accessible one until a spare 'extra' bed became available. It was all made up for him by the time we returned this afternoon with a little gift waiting on it. Thank you so much both of you.

As always a great stay at a Premier inn. Staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was ready early which was great as we only had a 40 min turn around to get in and out for a wedding in Newport. Clean and tidy and plenty of space. Also lots of car parking. Didn't have breakfast as we had a picnic in our room but it smelt lovely. I would recommend competing the check in before you go so your room is ready on arrival.

Comfy beds and friendly staff made our stay here memorable. The room we stayed in had an odd layout but plenty of space in the main area. All the comforts you would expect from a Premiere Inn at a reasonable price. The breakfast was really nice too.

Staying at the premier Inn pontypool Christmas eve & Christmas night… would highly recommend… the staff are fantastic… can't do enough for you… even though having to work all over Christmas… complements to the chef… breakfast Christmas morning was lovely… will definitely be staying again when visiting our family in pontypool… thanks Jayne and Tony Love. Pretty standard Premier Inn, clean and comfy. Shame the rooms are not the newly refurbished type, which I love. Breakfast very good. While nothing to do with the Premier Inn, I wouldn't recommend the Harvester restaurant next door for evening meals.

Really friendly staff, clean, quiet and close to the best Wales has to offer.

Easy access and plenty of parking. As always with Premier Inn comfortable beds and pillows. Use to showers and a bath, my room was shower only. Harvester next door, which was very busy so booking a table may be necessary.

Single night stay for business purposes. Room clean and comfortable, good breakfast as I've come to expect from Premier Inn. No bath but believe this is highlighted upon booking.

Be warned about the Harvester resteraunt next door, I think it's literally the only restaurant for miles around and is full of locals, which means it's always busy. I waited an hour for dinner on two seperate occasions because you can't book tables. The Premier Inn itself was comfortable with clean rooms and polite staff.
