Reviews of Dunkeld House Hotel 4*
A lovely couple of nights in a very relaxed, comfortable and well appointed hotel in a beautiful location. The food exceeded our expectations too.
The bedroom and communal areas for relaxing and dining are beautiful. The grounds, the spa and the decor in general are amazing, but most of all the staff are outstanding! we were waited on tonight by Robert who initially welcomed us to the restaurant, what a lovely person, with great manners and conversation, loved it all the whole experience! thanks.
Lovely facilities, dining was fantastic. Very helpful staff. Good well stocked bar :-)
Great luxury hotel, we stayed in the General Wade Suites, awesome luxurious place to stay.
Stunning location, beautiful hotel, amazing rooms and a view to treasure.
Thanks for an excellent couple of days. Great venue, good food, efficient staff. Hopefully we’ll be back soon.
Lovely hotel, great food and relaxing atmosphere 🥰
Lovely 2 day spa package, great staff. Good food and service, amenities are good too, large swimming pool, kids have certain times to swim, great for adults.
Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Room, food & leisure facilities were fabulous. We really enjoyed sitting in the bar area for drinks after dinner listening to the pianist playing, very relaxing. Staff were lovely too. We would definitely return here again.
Lovely grounds and hotel is beautifully presented with contemporary soft furnishings and decor in the guest rooms. Bars and lounge areas of which there is abundance off are relaxing with a pianist playing in the main bar! Restaurant & garden room food is good we had afternoon tea which was lovely! Dinner in the main restaurant good value 3 course £40 and buffet breakfast as part of our B&B package! Staff were ALL lovely happy to chat and share places of interest or their recommendations very helpful! A short walk along the river to the lovely quaint village of Dunkeld! Will defiantly be back!
We had afternoon tea on Sunday 3rd July for my Mum's 80th, she had a wonderful afternoon, afternoon tea was delicious & beautifully served in the garden room/conservatory. Lovely, attentive staff. Hotel gardens were lovely for a wander after. Will definitely be back!
Great time. Good food and friendly service.
Great venue, superb food and friendly staff. We will be back.
Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful surroundings. Wonderful fishing and lots of exploring in the hills.
Enjoyed a 1 night stay in a twin room with a friend. The room was clean and very quiet. The spa was amazing. The treatment (a full body massage) was amazing and the facilities were good too. We got to use them for an hour. The food was lovely (dinner and breakfast), the chef was even happy to make a couple of tweaks to our breakfast which was great. All the staff were lovely. I'd definitely recommend both the Hydro and the Spa. I'll definitely be coming back!
Such a beautiful and idyllic estate. Beautiful rooms and highly recommend.
Had a wonderful, relaxing break. Beautiful setting with lovely grounds and walkway by the river. Leisure/spa was wonderful too. Vegans well catered for! Staff were so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend for those wanting to have a peaceful break and a touch of luxury!
Just back from a 2 night break. Fantastic hotel in beautiful location. Rooms were very well finished. We had a superior room with balcony at front of hotel overlooking the river, was very happy with room and view. Food in both restaurant and bar was lovely. Very nice touch to give a free welcoming whiskey or sherry on arrival. Hotel very clean. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. We also did clay pidgeon shooting, and used leisure club for jacuzzi/pool and massages — all great. Overall would highly recommend this hotel and already looking at my next visit.
Fab food, cocktails, beautiful room overlooking the front and river, staff very helpful and can highly recommend spa visit, overall a very chilled relaxing weekend, couldn’t ask for more and will be back in a few weeks 🌸
Just back from an overnight stay spa package at Dunkeld House Hotel and cannot recommend it enough. Pool was lovely and quiet when we arrived so we we got to relax and have a swim before our full body massage. The massage was great, my skin felt amazing afterwards also. After our treatment we went for a walk down by the river since it was a sunny day. It was a beautiful walk and there was a path for easy walking. We then had a drink in the bar. Our server Anna was lovely and very pleasant to talk to. We also got to enjoy listening to the incredible Janu on the piano. I did get incredibly excited when he played the Jurassic Park theme! We then checked into our room. We were given an upgrade which was wonderful. Room was clean and spacious, with a lovely view. We had a three course dinner as part of our package. Our server Istvan was lovely, very attentive and very friendly. The food was fantastic too. We then had some more drinks in the bar and listened to the piano player again. He was even kind enough to play some requests for us which was very much enjoyed. Special thanks also to Ewan behind the bar for serving us and answering any questions we had about drinks and/or the hotel. Our cocktails were some of the best we’ve ever had. Breakfast this morning was delicious also. Will definitely return for another spa day at the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed the full experience.
Lovely night away in a beautiful hotel, the staff are amazing, and it’s one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The scenery and walks are stunning. Definitely will be back.
Amazing place, staff could not be more helpful. Love it 😍
Lovely visit. Hotel is lovely clean and beautifully decorated. Staff are always helpful and friendly.
You cannot fault this amazing hotel from the food to the staff to the surroundings, not to mention the luxurious spa. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back 💜
Beautiful setting. Customer service and experience was poor especially given rates.
Had wonderful one night DB&B break here. Staff, facilities & food all amazing.
A memorable, special hotel for sure. I can fully appreciate it's popularity now I've experienced myself.
Would definitely recommend!
Pretty hotel, nice spot, but the booming music from the wedding marquee until midnight totally ruins it for anyone looking for a quiet getaway, or who happens to have children they fancy getting to sleep before 12 o’clock. If you are looking for a tranquil break in the Scottish countryside then look elsewhere. This used to be a lovely place to stay but they’ve now prioritized generating extra revenue ahead of the “rest, relaxation, luxury and comfort” their website promises. A pity, as otherwise I’d have planned to make many more visits to this lovely spot.
Superb location amongst what looks like giant redwood trees!
staff where helpful and lovely… food is superb! … lovely room.
Lovely room, gorgeous food, great pool, stunning grounds/ views, friendly staff — what more could you want?
Just arrived and the room is amazing. Everything is brand new and they have even left us a wee anniversary gift. Reception, bar and leisure pool staff all lovely.
Refused to accept a gift voucher from Covid, £250 wasted, very unhelpful reservation supervisor.
Just back from a lovely stay at Dunkeld House Hotel. I want to say a huge thank you to every member of staff who went way above and beyond to make it extra special for me and my husband. From start to finish, I cannot fault a thing. An amazing room upgrade, a lovely personal message left for my birthday/anniversary and some of the tastiest food we've ever had. I truly wish you all the very best and hope you can open again soon. We'll certainly be back. Stay safe and look after each other. X.
Had a wonderful experience at Dunkeld House Hotel Location is stunning, hotel is beautiful and so warm and welcoming, staff friendly and efficient. Rooms stylish, although a little worn in places, but overall very comfortable. Had breakfast and dinner in restaurant which was exceptionally good. Also enjoyed some drinks in the outside marquee after dinner. Felt very Covid — safe but still able to enjoy ourselves without feeling uncomfortable. Would definitely return — only for longer next time.
This was our second visit to this beautiful hotel & I would thoroughly recommend. Stunning location especially at this time of year, with amazing walks. Beautiful tastefully designed rooms, excellent cuisine & first class service from polite friendly staff especially waiting staff in restaurant. Great communication from reception staff with regard to Covid updates. We both felt very safe visiting the hotel during this pandemic as staff were exceptional at constantly cleaning all areas & plenty of hand sanitizing stations situated throughout hotel & marquee. Looking forward to our next visit.
We got engaged during our stay here this weekend! Magical surroundings, attentive staff and delicious food. It was great to be able to use the swimming pool and jacuzzi! We’ll be back!
Lovely old style hotel right on the river Tay. Peaceful and relaxing place with lovely walks weather permitting. Lovely staff.
Lovely polite service from the food waiting staff but totally let down by the service from the kitchen. Nearly 1h after we ordered we received our food.
Fantastic location, value for money. First class food and selection of wines.
Beautiful, spacious, and personal attention. And then the delicious meals. Will be back!
Beautiful setting, lovely food and friendly staff. What more can you ask for!
Wonderful hotel, visited a few times now, and will certainly be back again. Rooms are lovely, staff great, and a very relaxed atmosphere all round. If you want to chill out in lovely surroundings, this is the place to be!
Such a gorgeous hotel in superb peaceful location! The staff are extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Stayed there for 2 nights and had such a lovely time!
Rooms were beautiful, facilities spotless. Staff were lovely and the setting was spectacular! breakfast spot on loads of choice. We will be back.
Lovely hotel. Very nice features and staff professional and able to hold a conversation. Not the best view (looking over the car park) but rooms at the front would have a spectacular view.
Amazing food service and treatments were fantasic. Feelung amazing. Staff lovely friendly and helpful. Lively swim and jaccuzi after. Cant wait to go back.
Staff were all lovely very helpful. Food was amazing and the spa was very relaxing. Definitely will visit again.
Beautiful location and staff excellent ❤️
The hotel is set within lovely grounds with good walks. The staff are amazingly helpful, the food is as good as you'd find in any great restaurant and the bar is well stocked with very knowledgeable staff.
Third visit here and although it was only for one night stay we had a lovely time. The staff are excellent and always so polite, restaurant dining was fantastic and best breakfast to set you up for the day. Rooms are a very high standard and beds very comfortable. The leisure facilities are also excellent. Lots of walks around the area as well. We will certainly be back in the future.
Beautiful hotel and such friendly and helpful staff. Food is amazing aswell.
Beautiful wedding venue absolutely gorgeous grounds and the staff are amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perfect night away. Staff were so accomodating and friendly. Ryan the Bar/Waiter great service with a smile and humour. Breakfast was beautiful and staff so lovely. Thanks everyone for an awesome time. ❤ — с Andy Collier.
Nice staff only too willing to make your stay welcome.
Fabulous hotel. Amazing setting. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We had a lovely stay at Dunkeld House Hotel. I don’t usually write reviews but we had such a relaxing stay. Our room was beautiful and was ready on arrival, it was well equipped with a comfortable bed for my little boy. The spa was new and pool large. The scenery was spectacular and dinner and breakfast amazing with efficient, friendly staff who would go the extra mile to make our stay relaxing. Keep up the good work.
We will definitely be back xx.
Staying in a lodge here and it's just so perfect, beautiful surroundings, with access to all the hotel facilities. We will definitely try to get back here for another holiday.
I would give this hotel a higher review. Sadly Lee the night manager was rude and dismissive so 1 star. Our dinner was lovely and the bar staff were great. Sadly we noticed our room had an overwhelming smell of bleach. We bought this to the attention of the staff. Who just dismissed us as they were "fully booked" so "couldn't do anything any way". We paid a fair bit of money for this. I would expect better service.
Visited via a 5pm voucher deal for spa and lunch. Highlights include the grounds, it was a great sunny day so make time to walk around. Also the staff who did the two spa treatments for us both were incredibly professional and well skilled. I got the express facial and nails polished. Downsides were a bit of a frustrating process after buying the voucher being out through to a junior member of staff who was not experienced in completing bookings, but we got there in the end. Also the main pool is pretty cold, more suited to actual swimmers than casual dippers. So bring your goggles so you can really swim.
Plenty to do including off road experience, clay pigeon shooting, fishing. Excellent swimming pool with spa facilities. Gym, bike hire. Extensive grounds with some really old and special trees. Can walk by the river Tay into Dunkeld which is very picturesque. Dunkeld Cathedral is worth a visit.
Lovely place to visit. Recently refurbished so proudly sports a new conservatory restaurant area. There are great walks nearby. I would give 5 stars but our lunch dining time was crazy at around over 2.5hours due to restaurant not serving till 1pm as they were still cleaning up after breakfast had over run. We were subsequently late for our spa treatment which was cut short. But staff were very friendly at spa. We may have arrived at a rather awkward time for them, but the restaurant service really needs better organisation.
Food disappointing. Carpet in room dirty and bathroom bit tired. Bed uncomfortable. Wine prices discouraging. Location excellent. Main bar are and restaurant decor excellent. Staff pleasant and tried their best but kitchen let them down.
Hotel were only expecting 2adults, our booking was for 2adults plus 1 Child (booked through hotel. Com). Eventually was sorted but waisted an hour and a half! The room was spacious but unfortunately our bath filled up when in shower, so clearly a drainage issue. Quite expensive for beverages! The views are absolutely amazing. The gardens are picturesque and the groundsman do a terrific job. All staff were polite and very friendly. Food in general was delicious but unfortunately not plentiful. The children's menu not so great and the ravioli was awful! Had a full body massage which was relaxing but not the best I've ever had. Pool area and staff were exceptional.
Stunning and beautiful place. We booked a long weekend here and pulled out all the stops as a treat. The rooms are stunning, the food is to die for, the staff are so friendly and good out their way to ensure your stay is 5 star. The spa facilities are superb and even to walk the grounds is lovely.
Returned to Dunkeld House fourteen years to the week after we got married there and we loved the improvements that have been made to all the public areas. The bedrooms are fine but could probably do with a little bit more of an upgrade, esp the bathrooms, to take them up to the same level as the rest of the bar and restaurant area. The food in the restaurant was excellent too, very impressed and the breakfast awesome. All in all, very pleased and will look forward to visiting again.
Attended a wedding here on Saturday and hotel was set in the most beautiful surroundings. Staff were wonderful and food and service terrific. Would return.
Unclean shower cubical, small food portions and we also witnessed a member of the waiting staff drop cutlery on the floor then pick it up to place it on the table for guests to use… yuck!
Besides the rude Outlander Film Crew dropping in, this was an amazing hotel and restaurant. The staff were delightful and very helpful. We loved the walks along the river.
Never been so disappointed with a hotel in my life, we arrived to be sat in the bar as room not available, the bar maid was in clearly no rush at all to serve us and after 15 minutes of her popping cups to the kitchen and general snail pace work we got served. Then we were told our room was ready but we would have to take our bags back in the car and go to another part of the hotel, 7 and half months pregnant and now resembling a drowned rat we entered our suite… past a dirty mattress is the foyer, ladders, & randoms planks of wood lying about and a security door with no lock to the building. Our room looked absolutely nothing like the suites look in the internet, actually couldn’t be further from the pictures, dirty floors, paint on the bathroom floor AND 7 dog poo bags filled at our back door. Back to reception I waddle, the manager was as helpful as he could be and we got moved into a smaller room with two single beds pushed together. We then went for our spa experience Changing rooms minging, massage costing £45 was so average my 10 yr old daughter does better. Out for dinner to be told after standing for ten minutes that our table we booked 6 hours prior wasn’t ready for us yet, sat down for ten minutes with no drink offered.
Excellent, very peaceful hotel. All is excellent. From the rooms to fabulous food to excellent spa and pool facilities. All staff very attentive especially waitress, Jordan, who was brilliant. John and Maureen Blake.
Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds, perfect for relaxation. Staff very nice and helpful. Lovely breakfast. A bit expensive for drinks.
We had very high expectations of our visit to Dunkeld House Hotel, and at first were very let down. Firstly, when I called earlier on our day of arrival to confirm our dinner booking, the person on the phone was abrupt and unfriendly. We ended up arriving early and decided to have tea in the lounge. The server was not friendly whatsoever, didn't smile and kept telling customers that she was by herself and that she would get to them in due course. AND then we went to pay for the tea and it was over 5 pounds for hot water and a tea bag! In Canadian currency, that would be about $10! Our room at first glance was fine but on closer inspection we noticed questionable stains on the sheets and blanket. We then went to go to the pool and were told that they didn't have towels and that they couldn't guarantee that we would get one as the delivery for the day hadn't arrived and they were washing the towels on site. At that point, we decided to speak to the day manager, Caoimhe, and she was very apologetic and upgraded our room. We ended up squeezing in a quick dip in the pool before our dinner as the towels arrived! Dinner was lovely. Tiny portions for the adults but very good portions for our daughter. There was also a piano player in the dining room which was a very nice touch. All in all, it was a fine stay, after a bumpy start. The surrounding grounds are just beautiful and there are walking paths that lead you up into town.
Elegant refined. Cared for in details. And good Food.
The scenery is 5* but unfortunately we had a view of the car park from our window. Good condition room, comfy bed. Wi-Fi is a little poor (and there was no signal or 4g) which hindered communication between groups of people (we were at a wedding so it would've been useful). Food at the wedding was lovely — breakfast was nice too. The mostly young staff all do their best. Expansive selection of whiskey. Gold star for Tyler for putting up with some pretty rowdy and persistent guests at the bar for two nights in a row.
Booked a 2 night spa break for a present for my mum. I called the day we were setting off as driving from Glasgow to make sure all was still in place to be told by the spa that we weren't booked. We had to book for the morning we were leaving — defeating the point of going for a "spa break". We also had a 3 course dinner booked as part of the deal, my mum only 2 courses & they never suggested an alternative as was only pigeon, fish or blue cheese as starters — not to everyone's taste. The menu also had very little variety on it. They nearly charged us £20 for leaving the room at 12 instead of 11, even though our massages were booked for 10 so of course we had to get sorted before driving the 2 hour drive home. All in all, I wouldn't rush back for the price of they charged for a 2 night stay and never got the best service I expected.
Was here for a spa and afternoon tea day with my sister… had a fantastic day… staff were lovely and very helpfull. A special thanks to Chamaine and Kim the 2 ladies that done our treatments. Was absolute heaven. Afternoon tea was divine and more than enough. The only minor gripe I had was that after our swim we had to get dresses to go for afternoon tea in the hotel restaurant and return for our treatments. A nice wee area next to pool / treatment rooms that you can go for lunch without having to get dressed… Would it put me off from returning — definitely not.
The Dunkeld House Hotel is situated in fantastic grounds with beautiful walks by the river. Our room was recently decorated in grey and orange tones which complement the landscape. We stayed two nights and dinner each night was lovely and service was very good. An added bonus of our stay was opening the curtains each morning to be greeted by deer grazing opposite. We will be back!
Slightly disappointing. Evening meal is designed for those on a diet. My starter of Arancini were so small you needed a magnifying glass. My main meal of Pork Belly was also diminutive in proportion. I was saved by the cheese board, although that was sloppy, but my wife’s Erin Mess was a joke. Our room was away from the main building, which was annoying but bearable. No shower curtain? No tea cups? Extremely slow to clean the room. The pool is good but the leisure suite needs an uplift and trying to wash under the drip of a shower was difficult. The location is magnificent and we had a lovely stay but this place could definitely do better at £318 for two nights. A shout out for Monika and Stuart in the dining area, great service. Generally the staff were good but there were a few that seemed a bit clueless. I would come back but would think twice.
Booked overnight stay with dinner and breakfast for part of hubby's christmas. Unable to make original date, car troubles, and gentleman who took call was very helpful, managed to rearrange for a few days later. On arrival reception staff appeared to have variable approaches to helpfulness depending on the customer. Our room was a double room plus, described as having a river view — not possible from ground floor corner of building, otherwise ok. Enjoyed walking along the river in the little snow that was left, not the hotel's fault. Dinner experience was ok but food could have been better, limited choice, small main portion and cheese board which had a supplement to pay looked like it had seen better days, I've never had bouncy brie before. Ample choice for breakfast with buffet, was hoping because of location that porridge may have been an option especially at this time of year but only hot option was fry up or toast. The most concerning part of my stay however was when housekeeping entered our room at 10.20 am. We were only staying one night and not due to check out until 11.00 am. There are small positives which mean I would attempt another stay but if similar experience again would opt for alternative hotel in the area of which there are ample.
Used the restaurant for meal with my wife and meal was excellent. Had lunch in the afternoon on a different day with my wife and daughter visiting us from Edinburgh and all three lunches very good. Used the bar in the evenings and service was good with friendly staff.
Visited for a Christmas party night. Nice hotel with good room. Rooms looked liked they had recently been redecorated. Ceiling still looked a bit drab. View wasn't great overlooking a court yard ceiling. Bar was nice and plesent and food good. Slept well although the window didn't open. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly. Was a pleasant stay and I'd visit here again.
Lovely stay with our 2 year old son. Service was excellent and we loved using the spa and swimming pool. All staff were very friendly, especially the girls on reception and Daniel in the restaurant. Amazing location and we were lucky to find that Dunkeld had a Xmas market on the Saturday.
Room a little warm. Excellent breakfast Tea Time Goutu. Scottish gastronomy… not possible to continental cuisine… too bad.
A remote but stunning location in the Scottish Highlands. The decor is traditional but with a modern twist creating a classy and elegant feel. Rooms were spacious with all mod cons and the service and staff was excellent and friendly.
The rooms were amazing, the grounds are beautiful and a great place for romantic walks, and the staff really helpful and friendly. The food, however, is the worst I have ever had at a hotel, kinda took the shine off the experience. Will happily stay there again, just won't eat there.
The location of the hotel is idyllic, in the middle of a well-maintained park on the banks of the river Tay. A lot of leisure is organized there. Close to Dunkeld, nice little town with many Cofee shop.
Comfortable rooms but without safe and minibar.
English cuisine: Difficult to call it gastronomy… yet beautiful presentation efforts on plate, appetizing… but you have to stay on the visual because the taste is absent, not even salty… except the haggis. Why not propose a continental map with simple and tasty dishes.
Perfect Breakfast as well as the "Tea Time", … to be taken between 12 and 17:00.
Friendly staff and rider.
I recommend except to eat there.
The location is amazing! It is so green and having the river right next to the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are also very nice and comfortable! I would definitely recommend this place to stay!
Slight hiccup at the start of our stay, room not ready for our booking time, but was resolved quickly enough not to spoil our 1st Impressions. A great place to stay in a great location with great food and leisure facilities. Just a short 20 min. Walk along the river from dunkeld.
Would definitely recommend to friend's and family.
Just back from a night at this hotel. Was a most pleasant experience. So much so we have already booked to return. We had the Fisherman’s Lodge suit, which is a separate lodge next to the hotel itself. Set in some spectacular countryside, this really is the place to relax. Check in was seamless and the laddies on the desk were so welcoming and pleasant. Such a great first impression. The lodge was spacious, clean and had some character, while providing the luxury you would expect at this hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was flawless. Both the food and service was second to none. Our waiter (Kristyan, I think) was so attentive without being overbearing. We also met a local barman by the name of Sean who was happy and bubbly in the main bar. In fact, every member of staff we interacted with was very polite. Breakfast was no different, a very enjoyable experience with a great selection of food. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and we are certainly returning.
Had a wonderful romantic night away. Lovely setting, friendly staff and fantastic food. Bedrooms need a little upgrade but otherwise perfect.
Restaurant food is formulaic and not cooked fresh. Accommodation clean and comfortable. Beautiful location on river near charming small town of Dunkeld.
Beautiful location, excellent food & staff. Wonderful walk along River Tay to lovely Dunkeld. Lots to do & see in surrounding areas.
We stayed here as part of our honeymoon, we booked two nights before moving on to our next stop, however we only stayed one night as we were left disappointed. On check on we were advised that we were not actually staying in the main hotel and that we we in a separate building called General wades house. This was not mentioned at the of booking. The day we arrived it was pouring rain and to use the hotel facilities we had to make a short walk in the rain. The room had not been cleaned properly so much so I was able to see who had stayed in the room before us as their room card was on the floor along with dirty tissue. When we went to use the Leisure facilities the Jacuzzi was out of order and they couldn't tell us when it would be ready. The food although good was let down by the fact the service was slow. Our starter came within minutes, then there was a 35 min wait for the main and drinks came after the main. To cap it all of the water was Luke warm at best in the morning, at which point we decided to checkout early. An absolutely shocking experience for us, total let down for our honeymoon.
Nice hotel, staff nice but a bit disorganised, food was of good quality.
Not at all pet friendly after all. Staff seem robotic and unfriendly. Lacks any kind of refinement for a 4 star hotel (e. G. I can hear person in next room peeing, and general management said at 23:15 if we were unhappy we could check out! ). Though grounds are very nice.
Had an amazing overnight stay here. Wonderful setting and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Will definitely be coming back.
Beautiful location with plenty of lovely walks. Well worth visiting the Hermitage. The room was newly refurbished and really nice, however a bit small. Staff were nice and helpful. There is a decent sized pool with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, which were all nice and clean. Spa treatments are available but you need to book these a couple of weeks in advance. Plenty of activities available but you pay extra. We had a delicious 3 course meal, which was reasonably priced at £30. Not much going on in the evening, other than a really good pianist playing during the meal, so the bar was really quiet. All in all a lovely hotel and I would recommend it.
Excellent all round clean cosy rooms. Dinner was amazing best I've had highly recommend the beef Wellington. Very scenic area lots of walks nearby. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Lovely hotel with very nice staff. The hotel could do with a bit of work but overall, it's a lovely hotel in an amazing area. The food was impressive, we had a great meal.
One of the best hotels in Scotland, no doubt. Set within acres of woodland, the building itself is a delight. From the tartan carpets to the oak paneling and stag's head trophies, you'll be transported to another world of hunting lodges, and whisky by the open fire on cold winter's evenings. It really is an excellent experience. Staff are fantastic. Rooms are clean and airy. The food is also fantastic, and you don't have to be staying at the hotel to have a lovely bar meal. If you pass through Dunkeld without stopping by here, you're missing out!
This hotel is a picturesque Scottish grand house set in a beautiful estate. It restaurant is much improved but generally the staff are poorly trained. Hopefully the new owners will make a difference.
We recently spent 3 days at Dunkeld House Hilton and we were very pleased with our stay. The room was exactly what we had ordered and the food was fine. Such a peaceful setting and we also enjoyed our drives into the surrounding area. We also enjoyed the use of the Jacuzzi. I am recovering from knee replacement surgery and their was a disabled dressing area and the rails going into the Jacuzzi helped me step down. Felt so good to be in the swirling waters and the girl that worked there was very helpful. I must add that the girls at the reception desk were also very helpful especially Ashley. Hope we will manage another visit to this lovely spot again in the future. I wonder why I did not get any points on my Hilton Honors for our stay?
Nice Rooms, lovely staff, super helpful and cheery. Beautiful location and to far from Dunkeld itself just far enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Room service was pretty quick and food was very very good. Breakfast was a delight. Thanks guys!
Have stayed here a few times with work, and its a very nice hotel. Stay are always very accommodating and welcoming. Food is always excellent, and the room rate I had included breakfast and dinner which made it value for money. Excellent surroundings and always a great stay.
Lovely setting but old inside. Good dinner altho staff seemed to forget few things (water /poached eggs) blood on sheets but attentive to needs. Good leisure facilities.
I stayed from July 22 to 25. A 4 star hotel with no lift and no
porterage, microbial room, beautiful park. In South Tyrol would not
had more than one star. Pitiful.
Went in January, had the 2 nights for £99 each night, included breakfast and dinner! Stunning, was lucky enough to have snow and the walk in the grounds was beautiful!
Have been staying at Dunkeld many many years — and if you accept occasional tired carpet and occasionally worn wall paper… The overall experience is wonderful… The location is stunning, the village beautiful (and a gorgeous walk to get there) … The quintessential chance to experience a traditional and charming hotel. Food is good, sometimes excellent; the cleanliness is genuinely excellent — sometimes faultless. Do try and stay in the old building, do pay for the suite upgrade if you can; standard rooms are in a spacious annex — but overlook the rear of the hotel and the car park. Guest room plus overlook park and are well worth the upgrade. Book in advance and book dinner bed and breakfast rates…
Excellent if you want a romantic getaway.
Covered an amazing wedding for a lovely couple here, the hotel inside and out was superb. The woodland walks gave a set of super photographs. The outdoor wedding ceremony and the group shots afterwards had the beautiful Hilton Hotel as a wonderful back drop. Wedding Photographer Alexander Whyte.
One of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in. Superb food and excellent selection of single malts.
I have stayed at the Hilton Dunkeld 3 times in last 2 years, in Spring and at Christmas. The staff are great, the breakfast has a wonderful choice, and is the best way to start the day. We are looking forward to going back next week for a relaxing Easter Break.
Only issue we had was a poor choice/quality for breakfast.
The hotel is set in very tranquil grounds with loads of walks. Our room had a lovely balcony with stunning view, the room was clean and adequate. The menu in the restaurant was different every night and you had a choice of different starters, main courses and desserts. Would recommend this to all age groups whether for a relaxing weekend or celebrating a special occasion.
The hotel is set on the river bank, it's an ideal location if you like walking in the country. The buffet breakfast were enjoyable and delicious, as the 3 course evening meal also was. About the room — the bed was cosy and the bathroom was clean and big enough. The Spa areas were great to relax in and also there was a small gym. The steam room was not working but the sauna was good. Well the hotel worth a visit.
This was an excellent experience. Found the hotel to be in a very good location and enjoyed the local area and countryside. Reception staff were lovely and very helpful. Room was more than adequate, on opening the curtains each morning the deer were opposite our room grazing in the trees and again in the evening. Both breakfasts were faultless and the evening meal was good.
Stayed for 2 nights with my wife. The hotel is situated next to the river Tay and has a very relaxing atmosphere. I was impressed with how polite and helpful the staff were. There was no hair dryer in our room, which was one of my wife`s requirements but wasn`t such a problem.
The hotel offers everything for one unforgivable holiday. Lovely location set in scenic grounds, polite staff, comfy beds, delicious food, variety of outdoor activities. Definitely will come back.

Our second visit in a few months. Fantastic experience staff are attentive polite and respectful. Love the food great selection and a great value for money. This time around it’s was spa time and recommend a hot stone massage certainly hits the muscles spot on. There small gym has enough equipment to certainly have a great workout. There’s something for everyone in there.
