Great food lovely menu loved it.

Just had an amazing 3 course meal at the West End Hotel.
Ten out of ten for the food and service.

First meal at the West End and it was excellent. I went for a veggie / vegan starter and main and was treated to some excellent food. Nothing flashy but very tasty. No proper ale sadly, but a modest selection of decent malts. Excellent service from the staff as well.

Caring staff, clean rooms, nice all round! Would stay here again.

The best fish and chips ever.

Had a meal in the hotel tonight, the service and meal was excellent. I don’t think I have had a better steak in all my life, cooked exactly as requested and great portion size. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Finally got there after hearing from so many of our friends and customers how good it is. And we were all very happy with our choices. I was defeated by the pudding tho cocktail was delicious and service was great too. Will certainly be back.

We had a great stay here, with an excellent dinner and huge breakfast. The staff were friendly and really helpful, going out of their way to find additional information for us.

Older hotel, dated in places but with character. Food was good, staff friendly and no complaints on the bed or quiet. All then depends on price ;)

Was good when Robert and Giffie owned it. The new owners/management are appalling. Treat their staff and customers like filth, and even ban them from the premises. The decor is so cold and uninviting now, and severely lacking in atmosphere, and I dread to think what the food might be like. They have ripped out everything that made The West End warm and cosy, including the little tidbits memorialising the history of the building. Will never buy anything from there.

Well having been for a meal in January we wondered if we had just hit it lucky (7 of us with lots of different likes and dislikes and everyone was happy) however having been back tonight can definitely rate the West End as well deserving of 5 stars Lovely to see the place looking fresh and modern after a refurb, service excellent, food fresh, tasty and excellent portions, fab use of local produce and all round an excellent choice yet again. Keep up the good work West End Team. Thanks for another excellent meal.

The new decor is lovely! The welcome from the staff is warm and friendly and the food was delicious! I had the fillet steak and it was, honestly, the best I’ve ever tasted! I would highly recommend The West End Hotel!

We had a absalutely fantastic meal last night. Food was amazing. Service was 5* I loved that they recommended a gin for me and I got fresh mint off a peedie mint plant with peppercorns it was delish. Defnitley a new fav place to eat! The new decor is lovely and cosy too.

Great food and friendly staff, they also serve a good selection of local beers.

Just went for a drink with friends bar staff very good.

The West End catered for our wedding on 30 December 2016. I cannot praise them highly enough. The meal and second supper was delicious, cooked to perfection and quickly and professionally served. The decoration of our hall was beautiful. The service and support we received during the preparation for our wedding in the months before and the day of the wedding was phenomenal. We had guests staying with them and they also received a high standard of service. Considering how busy Giffie and staff were over the period, this was exceptional. I truly don't have enough space on here to thank them highly enough. Thank you all very very much! I wholeheartedly recommend the West End Hotel, 100%

Popped in for a quite meal before getting on the ferry for the Shetlands. Had a delicious steak that was prepared as requested and some yummy dessert and french press coffee in the lounge. Delightful service and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Decent food and pleasant place to visit.

This is the best place you are going to find anywhere! I had a wonderful relaxing FUN stay! Can't wait to go back!

First stayed there in 2012 with my sister had such a lovely time great food and Robert and Giffy are ideal hosts. Booked again this year love the place a home from home.
