Set in a rural but very accessible location by road or air, a top quality rural retreat presents itself. The luxury suites are impeccable and cater to all needs and give you a great sense of relaxation and feeling refreshed the following day. The bar has a wide variety of different Cocktails, Whiskeys and Gin which are not as widely available elsewhere locally. Staff were very engaging and make you feel welcome, catering to all your needs.

Great week away from it all, flying in and out to tour the highlands. Cottages and suites are very highly appointed, modern and five star throughout. The food and drink is high quality, not only in the bar and at breakfast, but also the hampers put together by the chef for home cooked dining. Thoroughly recommended and will be booking our return stay before we leave!

Fantastic accommodation with an emphasis on style and homeliness. We stayed in the Red Gates Cottage which was awesome and had everything our party of 6 could ever need. We enjoyed the Argentinian style BBQ dinner outdoors, with a good selection of excellently prepared local produce to choose from. Compliments to the chef! All the staff were very courteous, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. Nothing was too much bother for them. If flying in to the private runway, you won’t be disappointed. A well groomed and well drained strip which was a pleasure to fly from. Hats off to Euan and his team. We will be back 😎

Lovely Highland countryside welcome made by the lovely staff. Would highly recommend this beautiful setting for a family gathering or wedding or any celebration.

This luxurious and stylish hotel is beautifully embedded in the stunning landscape of the Black Isle. The rooms are tastefully furnished to the highest standards and offer space, luxury and tranquility. For the extra special feel it is worth upgrading to the Cottage, which has a fabulous lounge with stunning fireplace. The landing strip allows guests to fly in and it is a great base to explore the area.

My partner and I stayed here for a sunny weekend in September and it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Mr Ramsay was a fantastic host, attending to our every need and giving us a tour of the local area. The Mains has been beautifully re-decorated with lots of charming touches, and it was a struggle not to photograph every detail! We stayed in one of the cottages where there was a welcome hamper (delicious local bread, butter, milk etc) on arrival. The bedrooms are comfortable, practical (lots of coat hooks and hangars! ) and quiet. I have not slept that well in a long time! They were also warm and cosy, although we were extremely lucky with the Scottish weather for our stay (sunshine and T-shirt weather in the days! ). The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering (including a Nespresso coffee machine, all your usual condiments and sharp knifes for cutting onions! ), and overlooks the beautiful Mains courtyard on one side. The shared spaces (main hall/event space and bar) are very stylish and Mr Ramsay also has excellent skills as a mixologist (I would recommend his Moscow Mule). I would love to have a party there one day! The grounds around the Mains are also beautiful and it was lovely to explore the Black Isle. I could not recommend this place more. We will definitely be back!
