We've been loads of times for dinner and drinks as it's our local, always loved it and never any issues. This visit was met with mediocre food and a serious attitude from certain staff. I appreciate our children aren't the quietest, however, when you have to wait SO long for food it can be difficult to entertain them! If this is an issue the restaurant and/or hotel should carry a 'no children' policy! Also, beware of booth seats as the bottom WILL pull away or move and you may end up on your bottom and getting yourself a row from certain staff!

My daughter and her partner booked for two nights, on arrival they found the room unsatisfactory, there was a kettle but only one cup, there was no bulb in the lamp, bed was very lumpy and the room in general could have been cleaner. On the last day when they went for breakfast their room key had been deactivated and they had to be asked to be let back in even though check out time wasn’t until 11am. Wi-Fi was also not very good in the room.

Absolutely fantastic service and staff couldn’t be anymore accomodating fab rooms comfy beds big TV and gorgeous breakfast with plenty of choice. Definitely a place to stay if visiting rosyth we will defo be back

Breakfast, cost, staff and location makes this a great base for exploring Edinburgh.

The place doesn't look very appealing on the outside, but when you walk in, it's like a 5 star hotel, it's amazing, the food was great and they've got a bar with karaoke too! 100% recommend this place — the rooms we're very clean, the only issue was that the windows don't open very far and it definitely wasn't enough to let a breeze in (may have only been our room I'm not sure) other than that, it was amazing!

We were pleased with our refurbished room. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially David Fortune the barman cum everything. When we arrived the TV wasn't working and the toilet seat was not secure. He fixed both in 10 minutes. The full Scottish breakfast was memorable. David Pitcher, Cornwall.

A great place to enjoy your day off with a good beer garden with a view so the Forth.

Spent 3 nights in Rosyth and visited for food and pool every night. The chef Pat is fantastic at cooking but not so great at pool! Really! haha! Great bar staff! Warm welcome every night, locals very friendly… highly recommended!

Spent 2 weeks working on the shipyard, came to the bar most nights for a few beers after a days work. Always a warm welcome with friendly staff, good beer and football on the TV — oh and the jukebox was great with lots of choice of music.

The hotel is dated, though kept fairly clean. No elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage. Room was clean and amenable, though small. Restaurant was crowded with people getting drunk. All this would give it a 3 star. However, the heater in the hallway with my room was stuck on max heat in the middle of summer. It was easily 35 deg C. I reported this to management and they did not see a problem nor did they think anything could be done. They were not interested in giving a refund. I will not stay here again.

Room was clean. Bed in poor condition. Tv would not work properly. No internet in room. Breckfast was poor half what was on the menu was not available. Room very noisy all night. Would I consider staying there again no way…

Clean and friendly environment. Staff friendly and approachable, really enjoyed the food and drink. Pleasant surroundings and view.

The hotel food is really excellent. Pub prices but the chef is top notch. Homemade soups and cakes. Haggis with everything (jk).

Being so reasonably priced, my expectations were not high so I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and overal quality of the hotel which has extensive parking. I would stay here again and would recommend this for anyone embarking at the port which is within sight.

Food served after 4.30 when the bar starts to fill. Waiting for a Cruise ship boarding, it a reasonable place to visit. Friendly staff, good food, standard beer.

It was awful. Dirty and the bath was held together with electrical tape. The staff were very nice though. Oh and the kettle was so filthy you couldn't make a coffee. I as well as the wedding party that was booked said the same and would never go there again. The picture of a room on their website is false, it looked so nice but believe me it certainly was not. Sorry no star rating I've had to rate one star or it wouldn't post.

Been here twice for a meal now. Just a brilliant place. Caters well for our kids too. Plenty of space for them to run about in! Great view of the new bridge… Lovely to sit outside in the beer garden. And right on our doorstep! Could make a bomb if open more regular for meals and advertised better! Doesn't look much from outside… But inside is lovely! All the best and be back soon! Oh yeah and the food is great too! Lol.

Excellent customer service. Went for coffee very quiet and great views of the bridges over the forth. Would have been five stars if they served some food even a cake or scone to go with coffee would be good.

The hotel is well-disguised, but is sign-posted for vehicular traffic. It is a bit "off the beaten track", but convenient for the dockyard. The lounge bar is basic, but not unpleasant. The staff are attentive and friendly. There is a pool table. There are karaokes on Saturday evenings from 8.00 'til midnight, with lively hosts. There is ample, free, off-street parking. The hotel is near local bus routes.

Staying here for work, cheap room basic amenities but this is a room that's not part of the main hotel.
