The Gluten free takeaways are a real treat. Lovely food and lovely prompt service. Highly recommend.

Ate here as a family of 4, one is a coeliac. Amazing gluten free food, so much choice and all tasted incredible! Will definitely be back down from Glasgow in the future 😊

Awful, dirty, cramped and hugely overpriced. Bathroom fittings either broken, covered with mould or rust.

Very good with friendly service. If your ceoliac 90% of the menu is gluten free, if your not you won't notice the difference great to be able to eat as a family with everyone getting quality food.

Second time we've been here when visiting the area. Great gluten free food in a quaint little pub. Small kitchen so best to book ahead.

Stopped on the way to the ferry. The food took a small while to serve, but it is all cooked from fresh and 100% worth the wait. Very succulent and the service was incredibly friendly. Highly recommended.

Meal was vile, even after sending first one back because it wasnt cooked. It must be bad when the most enjoyable thing on the plate was the garden peas.

We were camping locally and struggling to find somewhere with gluten free options for our six year old. Stumbled across this place by accident. Fantastic menu pretty much all gluten free. My daughter had steak pie that she loved, my fish and chips was lovely. The sticky toffee pudding was superb. All gluten free as well but you wouldn't know it. Staff superb.

We stopped off with friends and family (4 adults and 3 children) and we had a great time. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent, all freshly cooked and the choice was good too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and we look forward to going back.

We decided to have a meal here one evening with our 3 children whilst on holiday. The food was dreadful — burger dry over cooked and tough as leather, stoganoff tasteless, fish pie awful. Worst bar meal that I can remember. I would not recommend if you want a decent meal.

A little gem! My son and I spent 2 nights at The Star. Excellent room, immaculately clean, little extras such as hot chocolate, herbal teas, biscuits. Wonderful Scottish breakfast — all locally sourced ingredients. Warm, helpful staff. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Well — positioned for activities in the area. We would definitely return.
