Hotel was extremely clean. Staff was so friendly. Had the pasta with the peppered sauce in it, unbelievable. Highly recommend! Rang reception 1/2am to turn the radiator off in the room as it was too warm, request was not a problem to the receptionist. Overall everything was brillant! Wasn’t overly expensive for meals etc. Definitely be back.

Wouldn’t recommend for Sunday lunch. Didn’t seem to be enough staff and those who were on seemed inexperienced and were not particularly welcoming. Music was too loud and not appropriate for chilled Sunday dining. Soup on the cool side, veg underdone and meat dry. Truly disappointing.

Not a great place for Afternoon Tea. View poor, staff inexperienced, with a can't be bothered attitude. Disappointing.

Stayed here as a family of 4. We all had a lovely time & felt very well looked after. I am a coeliac & was very well catered for at breakfast, lunch & dinner. Staff were excellent. Thank you from a very satisfied customer.

Excellent service great staff.

Took my sister here for her birthday dinner, food was as absolutely amazing and staff very attentive, only criticism I would have is that it would have been nice to have a sparkler to make the dessert more fun and also if u could stock non alcoholic drinks for those of us who don’t drink or are driving just so we can feel like we’re included in the celebrations. Other that that it was a delightful evening. 😀

Had my mother's birthday there recently dinner for 34 adults and children … food was outstanding service impeccable and the perfect place for any occasion the staff went over and above in everything they were asked … ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great hotel, great food, great bars and friendly staff.

The afternoon tea was a total disappointment. The tea, coffee, sandwiches and scones were all lovely but the sweet treats were awful. We were given profiteroles which were freezing cold and soggy, soggy sponge with some sort of mousse on top, eclairs which again were freezing cold and soggy, some profiteroles dipped in chocolate and some macarons. On questioning why it was so different from the pictures used to advertise I was informed an outside company looks after social media and nothing to do with them this is despite the same images being displayed around the winebar. The price of £14.95 on Facebook is also incorrect as the cost is £15.95. A discount of 20% was given but still not worth the money.

I was there yesterday for a few drinks and some food for my wedding anniversary with my family. My daughter is autistic and I can not explain how welcome the barman Marty made us feel in the snug. Marty was so welcoming to my child and just in general, made us feel special. I could hear him to other customers, offering advice on the menu, places to visit in the city… just a nice guy… I do think the waterfoot should recognise their employees and value them with some kind of token. I did express this to the supervisor.

Lovely lunch today, great food, reasonably priced and great service.

Had dinner here tonight with my family, service and food was top class, will most definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Spent the day here, afternoon tea truly amazing. Food was stunning staff amazing a big shout out to Martin darell and the wee amazing Grace who couldn't be more helpful xx.

My sister and I did the Santa experience last night with my son and niece, it was absolutely fantastic! Hands down the best Santa I have ever visited (and have been to a lot! ) he was so patient with the children and showed a real interest in them. The staff at the hotel were absolutely lovely, food was beautiful and our room was very spacious. Very reasonably priced, can't recommend it enough.

A group of us came straight after work for a late lunch /early dinner for a joint birthday celebration. The staff were amazing from start to finish — so attentive and accommodating to all we needed. They were so friendly and kept us laughing throughout. The food was gorgeous and I can't recommend it enough. We will definitely be back.

Large frendly hotel polite frendly staff with 2 bars and brilliant food. Placed at the edge of town so quiet at night but short taxi ride to town centre, or to local airport large venue area for partys and they have their own wedding coordinator for weddings.

The friendly and helpful staff, the lovely food, the amazing cocktails and the great atmosphere. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back to spend another couple of days in it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stayed in the Waterfoot hotel for one night, honestly best service ever, staff work so hard and are very accommodating. Drinks are amazing, atmosphere is brilliant too. Will definitely be back! 😃

Was at my sister's wedding yesterday and to be quite honest never have came across a bunch of ill-mannered staff the bar staff and waiting staff were not very hospitable and for the excuses for shutting down the band early because of people dancing yous had your money made by that time in the waiting area there was no social distance rules in place when we were able to stand in crowds talking drinking while standing at the bar. No staff had visors or masks on there was only 1 hand sanitiser as you came in the door nothing in the toilets or were we had our meals the girl that was head over the seating speeches etc passed the mike around without cleaning it once even when using it herself my father which was the brides father was ill and had to go home I asked for a pair of flip flops which I got at my sis in laws wedding on new-years eve for to go home to check on him because I couldn't drive in my heels went to see if she cld get me a pair 20mins later my husband approached her and she said she forgot but forgot she cldnt get them because of covid rules seriously.

Had my wedding there on 5th sep 2020 the whole day was perfect from start to finish, staff were first class nothing was a bother for them. Id like to thank Adam. Leona and krystal for making it so special. The dj provided by the hotel was the perfect gentleman, fantastic job and all the staff A* room amazing, food amazing. Would definitely recommend for weddings and the wedding garden was beautiful. Thanks for the memories and the best day ever everyone had a great day.

Had a lovely time at Bottomless Brunch on Saturday. Staff were so friendly and very attentive and the tapas and drinks were delicious! Would definitely recommend.

My partner and I stayed here last weekend and had a really great time.
The room was lovely, clean, and comfy.
The walk into the centre wasn't too far and there is a very nice scenic route that reception will recommend if you fancy a walk.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They made the whole weekend for us.
Special mention has to go to the legend that is Martin though. It was such a pleasure to see him each night in the Snug Bar because he was brilliant craic and he really went above and beyond to look after us. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Derry.

Went here for the weekend for my partner 40th birthday lovely welcome when we arrived went to room is was well decorated clean and fresh box of chocolates and card left for partner wine bar nice and cosy room. Staff were amazing from start of nite till we left both nites they were all so friendly kind. Food was gorgeous well done chefs we had meals both nite plus breakfast. Housekeeping made room and freshed it up for us coming bk from shopping will definitely be back and will b recommending the hotel to friends and family 5* from us thank u for making our stay a gd 1 x.

I can only say my stay at the Waterfoot was first class, the staff were so helpful and friendly to me personally that means a lot, the food was beautiful and presented to high standard, I honestly couldn't fault anything and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Staff are very friendly and helpful bedroom was very clean and warm very comfortable bed good was excellent we had lovely dinner there on Saturday night would definitely stay there again.

Couldn't recommend this hotel enough, first time staying here for my husband's 60th birthday, beautiful rooms, lovely staff, first class and the lady that was singing tonight in the snug bar was brilliant!

Catherine was the best receptionist ever she helped us out so much and was brilliant. She was absolutely stunning and was so good at helping us and was really an absolute doll at sorting us out with everything we needed and was definitely, we will be coming back as she was brilliant and helpful xxx.

What a hotel, we had a surprise 60th birthday party for my husband, with the help of Adam sweeney the event went without a glitch! I couldn't recommend this hotel enough! A very warm welcome, friendly staff that can't do enough to make your stay stress free. Beautiful food and the service was exceptional! Poorly service. Wait on food and when did come food was cold. Best about it my child had to eat of my plate due to her not giving her kids meal.

Booked into the waterfoot hotel londonderry for one night found the food to be of a high standard and the staff to be very pleasant, friendly and helpful had a few fizzy drinks in the snug bar Martin the barman was top class made us feel very welcomed and had some good laughs with himnice place to stay and will visit again…

I had the pleasure of staying at the Waterfoot Hotel while I was having my treatment, and I have to say it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in the staff couldn't do enough for me they even gave me a voucher an wished me a speedy recovery such a kind gesture, the meals are to die for an not skimpy, thank you so much Waterfoot Hotel best Hotel ever xx.

My beautiful friend and mum to be had her baby shower at the Waterfoot hotel yesterday afternoon.
It was amazing from start to finish we were meet by Roselle at the door who organised the shower to the very last detail.
Her customer service was top class her attention to detail next to none.
Denise then came over introduced herself and organised whatever food and drinks we needed.
The day was perfect because of the service we received nothing was a bother to any of the waterfoot staff they went out of their way to help us.
The afternoon tea was beautifully laid out and tasted as good as it looked.
If you need a baby shower organised look no further folks you will get the whole five star package here.
Thank you to all the waterfoot staff for making the day so special.

Very nice hotel! Was a very hot room when we checked in. Asked for a fan and staff were quick to bring us one. My wife was not feeling well and is 7 months pregnant. The staff made everything easier by being extremely helpful and accommodating to make sure we were satisfied and comfortable guests while at this establishment. The food was delicious and again the staff was A++++ for their customer service. If we are ever in the area again this is going to be where we book hands down! The room was a large room and very comfy.

Was sick and pregnant at the time. Staff was very accommodating and brought dinner to my room. The next morning for breakfast there was no fruit so I asked and due to my. Pregancy they brought me. Fruit even though it was not included in my breakfast options Hotel room was nice just wish it was cooler (wishb there was a/c and ice machine or mini fridge). Staff did provide is fan which helped a bit. We were visiting during a heat wave.

Massive improvement from our last visit. Hotel is under new management and chefs. It shows. Food and service was excellent. Try the salt & chilli chicken starter.

One of my favourite spots to eat but not sure about new menu on Sunday afternoon. Staff always welcoming. Good value for money.

The food was delicious but because we were a large group once we got our main meal we were forgotten about. We were not asked if we wanted coffee or desert so we just psid and went back to work. Hence the 4 stars.

Terrible service and the bedrooms, tiling and plumbing are dated, grotty and gerish. I don't mind the odd spider but the silverfish in the bathroom left me unwilling to eat in the hotel. Each time we used our cards to try to open our door they wouldn't work — requiring a visit to reception each time subsequently insulted by the night porter.

We enjoyed are stay the only thing we would have liked breakfast a bit hotter. The tea was lovely. Staff very well trained. Congratulations about that.

£48 for a night… this place is seriously good value, really enjoyed my stay and food and staff were amazing, lux and dove soap as much as u want lol nice bathrooms and the room was cool too, awesome deffo stay again!

Me and 8 other girls went down on Friday to stay overnight as it was my friends hen doo at the start there was a bit of confusion with one of are rooms but Adam at reception was brilliant and got this sorted very fast and efficiently, I can’t fault the place at all the staff were lovely the food was gorgeous and the two managers one of which was called Micheal were so helpful with everything we needed would definitely be back thank you waterfoot hotal.

They do a great carvery and have a good quality of food for the rest of their menu. My only mild gripe is that the chips could be a little more crispy. The staff are always really friendly which is a big plus in my book.

Food and service was excellent and the room was ok but the bedding was poor.

Rang at the last minute, & 2 hours before arrival, for a party of 16 plus 2 high chairs & then arrived & added 4 more! The staff were exceptionally friendly & accommodating. We split the bill in 2, which we normally experience a hassle with, but not here. Everything was amazing! Food was stunning, ambience superb & the staff were fabulous! In particular the two young guys who went out of their way to wish my mum a Happy Birthday, & were amazingly attentive through the entire meal. Great 2 for £14 value! And great kids menu. Can’t wait to get back. All my sisters & their families said the same. Great touch having the dvd of Mary Poppins on for the kids. Thank you so much!

Absolutely diabolical. There was a party of 10 of us for a Xmas night out. We waited 2 hours to get served the first course. We were the only people there. I am not surprised. After we were served the soup we had to get up and go to the bar to ask for cutlery. After finishing the soup we all Sat waiting for half an hour. Nobody came near us. Again we had to go to bar to ask if plates could be cleared and next course served. We waited an hour to get next course. Again we had to go and hunt for cutlery. The food was also terrible packet salty soup followed by frozen microwave meal. Said it was turkey and ham I never got any ham. It was a very thin slice of turkey roll that was stuffed with packet sage and onion stuffing. There were 2 halves of aunt bessies frozen roast potato one mushy watery frozen sprout tasteless frozen carrot buttons and parsnip. We sat again for ages and had to ask for them to remove plates and take sweet order. Dessert was a trio of frozen packet tasteless delights. Guess what we had to hunt for cutlery again. The whole time we were the only people there we saw lots of staff hanging about but never came near us and kept vanishing. I was never asked if I wanted anything to drink I never received my soup thankfully after seeing what it looked like. We arrived at 7 and didn't get finished to 12 that's a total of 5 hours to receive dinner in an empty restaurant. We had been hoping to be finished by 9 and head off to the bar for a few drinks and a sing song.

Room was comfortable. Warm and beds were good. Resturant food was good. Noisey beside front door.

Spotlessly clean and friendly helpful staff. Bedding needs renewing otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Very welcoming. Food excellent. A little dated however the staff always say YES! Room was warm very comfortable and large. With teas and coffee in the room. If you are looking for good value and a home from home head here.

We have had dinner here on a number of occasions and although it used to be amazing it is going down hill a little. The food is sometimes disappointing and the service is very slow at times. However myself and my family always manage to have a good enough time.

Service was great, staff very friendly. Rooms a good size although slightly dingey. Very impressed overall given the price, will be back.

Went along for the Sunday Carvery. Amazing food. We had our six kids with us and it was o problem at all. They had 2 kids characters to keep the kids entertained. Will definitely be back.

Clean large room and close to the center.

The staff are ALL first class. The room is fabulous and the bed really comfortable. The lunches and meals are lovely with a great menu choice. The only thing stopping me giving five stars is that breakfast was disappointing. No choice of bread, cold plates, tea from an urn (credence when I asked for a pot of tea, I got it), toasters dead slow, bacon steamed, no marmalade or jam (they'd run out). I asked for poached eggs and they were perfect just the way I like them. Overall though 5/10 for breakfast as compared to 10/10 for the other meals during the day. The staff I give 5*. I pointed out a few little repairs to be done in our room and within five minutes the talented handyman arrived and fixed them.

My husband and I have been here four times since February — three or four days each visit. The hotel is very comfortable and cosy. The staff warm and friendly — nothing is too much trouble — I have put in a number of requests and all have been handled very efficiently. We have another visit planned for later this month. It may only be a three star hotel but you get a five star service!

Excellent hotel, the rooms are new and comfortable. There was an unfortunate error with our check-in that was no one's fault and we received an upgrade to the ambassador suite. This is a beautiful room and I will be booking this next time. Very large bed, extra large bathroom of high quality.

Staff were excellent, so attentive and accommodating. We are in the restaurant Thursday evening — absolutely delicious. We had the 2 courses for 12.50. Amazing value, our choice of dish was far better than many expensive restaurants we have been to in the past. I had the chicken with chorizo cream sauce and tabacco onions and it was so tasty, and perfectly cooked we were so impressed. The only criticism we could find was the general standard of the rooms. Although perfectly acceptable small issues let it down, for example the old wooden bath panel small amount of peeling paint on the ceiling, shower head required attention so we could use it and the shower temperature was extremely temperamental — to the point of one minute too cold and then almost scaldingly hot, bathroom towels had seen better days — one was very frayed and the tub chairs could do with a clean on the arm
Rests. P Breakfast wasn't great but acceptable. The staff made our stay! And for that reason we would return, and hope that the maintenance will have improved, all

The service was stellar. Our room was actually very nice but our toilet didn't really work, but I was only there for 1 night so it wasn't too big of a deal. Breakfast the next morning was good! Hot food, cereal, and various juices! Also dinner was VERY good!

Restaurant decor was lovely, with brilliant wine bar and selection of drinks. Nice menu, with a few veggie options too! Service was quite slow even though it wasn't busy. Got our drinks order mixed up and was waiting a while on it. Same when we asked for the bill. But the staff were polite and friendly.
