Had afternoon tea here today and it was stunning! I’m gluten and dairy free and Joyce was able to organise the most delicious food for me😊 the staff are so pleasant and accommodating and Murphy was the cutest wee dog. Thank you again to Steve and Joyce for making it a lovely afternoon. I’ll be back again.

Have just been to Blackwell House for Afternoon Tea and to say it was amazing is an understatement. The food was excellent and the management and staff are so friendly. So is Murphy (dog) and Mac (cat) who greet you on arrival. If I could give it a 10* rating I would but unfortunately the highest I can go is 5*. Will definitely be back again for another visit… xx.

Blackwell House is an amazing place, from the hosts, the rooms, the gardens, the breakfast and their little dog and cats. Every part of it was brilliant and definitely looking forward to getting back!

We were delighted with our Afternoon Tea at home experience from Blackwell House! First impressions based on the packaging and presentation were excellent to begin with and things only got better when we looked inside! Everything tasted just as good as it looked and so fresh too. So much flavour and variety we felt very pampered and can't wait to enjoy another Afternoon Tea in Blackwell House itself when it opens again! Thank you for a lovely treat!

Just enjoyed a super afternoon tea from Blackwell House. We have had many afternoon teas around the UK and this was right up there with the best. Beautifully packaged for takeaway and the owners were so pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.
We only live 15 minutes away otherwise we would be booking to stay when lockdown permits.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star afternoon tea. I ordered their takeaway afternoon tea. Despite a mix up, Blackwell House rectified everything and got me sorted. So glad they were able to, since we got to enjoy a wonderful selection of treats! Everything homemade and delicious. Nothing was a letdown, every treat a delight. Looking forward to the day we can enjoy afternoon tea at Blackwell House.

We went here on Saturday and had the most lovely afternoon tea ever, can’t believe such a jem is on our doorstep and service was first class, would highly recommend ☺️x.

I received an afternoon tea from Blackwell House today and it was delicious lovely sandwiches savoury and sweet stuff on it. Would highly recommend it and hope to enjoy sometime again.

Everything about Blackwell house is good. Tea, supper, breakfast, all home cooked by Joyce, free range eggs from their own chickens, seasonal menu and late arrival food also possible when your flight has been horribly delayed. However, if possible, arrive early and enjoy the surroundings, the tranquility and the amazingly friendly service.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Blackwell House. I am now reflecting on the quality of everything that is Blackwell House. Joyce and Steve are the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The food was divine! The nights are dark and very quiet, combined with luxury beds and bedding you should sleep well. The gardens are delightful too. There are so many little touches throughout the house and garden. Look out for the three new bedrooms with amazing bathrooms that will soon be online. Then there is the Lord of the Manor 'Murphy'. I am not a dog person really but he was adorable and I felt quite safe. My tip would be to visit when you are feeling hungry and I say "abandon diets all ye who enter here".

An absolute gem of a place. Joyce and Steve have done an absolutely amazing job with their beautiful home. Joyce's cooking is 5 star restaurant quality honestly absolutely gorgeous everything freshly made. I have to mention their beautiful cats and lovely Murphy their dog, for me this was one of my highlights. It's a wee slice of heaven and will definitely be back. Joyce and Steve are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I honestly couldn't give this place enough praise.

The food is to die for and the whole house is beautiful from top to bottom. But most off all Joyce is such a lovely host and makes everyone so welcome in her home. X.

A beautifully presented and exceptionally comfortable stay at this lovely guesthouse. Dinner was sumptuous and highly recommended.

My mum and I have just returned from an overnight stay at Blackwell House and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The home made food was delicious and Joyce was so welcoming. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hot tub is the perfect way to relax before dinner. We would really recommend Blackwell house to anybody. Thanks again for a great break.

Stunning guest house. Joyce and Steve go out of their way to accommodate you. Food is amazing.

Lovely rural area. The house was beautifully furnished. The host extremely friendly and helpful. All in all an excellent stay.

Fabulous experience with the attention to detail by Joyce unsurpassed. It really is a must visit when in N. Ireland.

The best of everything. Enjoyed this place out of all the places on our trip we stayed in. Joyce and Steve open their home up and make you feel most welcome. Wonderful people, awesome pets and some of the best meals I have ever eaten. I highly recommend this wonderful home for your future accommodation while in Banbridge or surrounding area, you will not be disappointed. Miss them.
