What a beautiful place to stay. We had a great room with an amazing view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. definitely go again.

What an amazing place! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was FANTASTIC, the views are beautiful and the 2 cold pints were devoured after a long walk around the headland. We will definitely be back and have recommended it to our family — thank you for such an enjoyable lunch. 10/10!

Delicious food, friendly staff, clean room. If I had to say any negative it would only be to advise if struggle with stairs to say in advance. But absolutely 100% recommend it 😁

Lovely atmosphere, great food and atmosphere, the only downside is a couple in the restaurant had a little dog on their knee eating off the table, why oh why were they not told dogs on the floor, health and hygiene out of the window!

We were on the island for one night and chose to come here. We were not disappointed! Starters, main and dessert were all faultless. Cocktails were refreshing and tasty. I wish I lived closer to come here more often. I love and appreciate freshly cooked food and this was incredible. Staff were friendly and everything was very efficient. Thank you!

Celebrating our 31st Wedding Anniversary tonight quietly and locally. The staff had no idea of this fact and yet they still made it such a special occasion. Our servers Sara and Rwth were second to none and the service was exceptional. Both young and yet they could teach a few older waiters a great deal about making people welcome, attentiveness and generally caring. The food was lovely and the view astounding, as always. In addition it is good to hear that the owner of the restaurant treats the staff well and with respect. Definitely a place to visit.

Seriously one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The receptionist was so welcoming when we arrived late, and booked us a table straight away. The fish and chips was so delicious, we asked for breakfast early as we were doing a motorbike rally, and the staff came in early, we ate the best scrambled egg and smoked salmon I’ve Ever eaten. The owners even came over for a chat in the evening, a really friendly smart clean hotel, thank you.

Fantastic food great drinks friendly service. Andrew was great and made our evening pleasurable. First time out without the kids for a long time. Thank you to all we will be back very soon.

What a lovely hotel. The location is perfect, our room at the front of the hotel has a lovely view. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was great and breakfast was also good with a great choice. We will definitely be coming back.

Nice restaurant fast service even when busy at Sunday lunchtime, we’ll presented hot good food. Cater for special diets (coeliac, gluten free) Staff were well presented and polite though you may need to make sure they got finer points of order right ie, no ice in orange juice. Social distancing and Covid guidelines all followed to the letter.

We have enjoyed a superb meal, the starters were excellent, Janet's swordfish main was brilliant and my lamb main was the best piece of lamb I have ever eaten, our compliments to the chef.

First time at Gadleys, just stopped for a coffee. Sat outside on the large patio area. Nice view and surroundings, staff were very polite and efficient. The menue looked interesting, so we will be back sometime 😊☀️

We had our wedding meal here yesterday and WoW! We can not thank the staff enough for making our day simply perfect. Under such uncertain and difficult times. Johnathan kept us fully informed from day one, we met the owner during one 'planning'visit and he was so welcoming and friendly. Johnathan is an absolute credit to the hotel. He was absolutely brilliant! the room looked amazing, the service was superb, the food was delicious, the room was beautiful and one of the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was amazing. Every member of staff went out of their way to ensure our day was perfect. We can not thank you all enough for the amazing memories you all helped us to make. Johnathan you went above and beyond to make sure every tiny detail was attended to, including the "Nosecco" In these extremely challenging times for you all in the hospitality industry, you absolutely deserve a huge shout out, you continue to deliver an outstanding level of friendliness & professionalism a HUGE Da Iawn! and and even bigger thankyou for making our day simply just perfect! Stayed here for 3 nights recently with my family of eight for my wife's 60th birthday.
Could not fault the hotel.
Great rooms, clean, lovely food and excellent staff.
Owners are very welcoming and friendly.
We are going through a difficult period at the moment with covid — 19, but we had a very relaxing short break.
I would not hesitate to recommend this well run and friendly hotel.
We will be back for another visit in the winter!

Had a fabulous meal a few weeks ago and again at lunch time today with very friendly staff. There is also two great playing areas for children with an outside seating area with a wonderful view to relax with a coffee or drink after your meal. Very family friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing hotel cannot find a fault! Very clean decorated beautifully, food amazing. And set in a wonderful scenic location. There is also a great little park for children. Best nights sleep I’ve had in a hotel would definitely recommend.

Received a Gadlys gift card for my birthday so came here for a belated birthday meal with my husband & daughter. We don't usually have 3 courses but decided to treat ourselves. The food was lovely and the portions were just right. Staff were very attentive and loved the sinks in the Ladies loos! It's not cheap but would definitely come again for a treat. We hadnt booked but came fairly early so no problem getting a table. It was getting quite busy for a Tues night when we left.

Great place. In a country/coastal setting beautiful views. Spacious car park. Restaurant provides excellent meals, with vegetarian options in a pleasant dining room. Good choice of wines/beers etc. The staff are friendly and attentive without being 'in your face'. Worth a visit.

The Gadlys has undergone a complete re-vamp. What a difference! We were there as a party of 16 people and I have to say, the food was great. Will be returning in the near future.

Nice quiet location. Great restaurant and good breakfast. Clean spacious rooms with nice bathroom and shower fixtures. Couldn't figure out how to use the towel warmer, I think it was turned off. Close to the beach. Wi-Fi was pretty good.

We were at the Gadlys & Bay Bore Restaurant for my Aunt's 90th birthday and had a fantastic meal and the staff were really attentive and SO good. Would definitely recommend it.

Live locally and had guests to take out, Been here a lot but never seen it as busy, so we're a little worried we wouldn't get the same service, I had no need as the food and service were fantastic, food cooked to perfection and the staff smiling and polite WELL DONE.

This hotel is perfectly situated for Cemaes bay. It is newly refurbished to an exquisite standard. Every aspect has been thoroughly considered. The modern decor, large rooms, wonderful bathrooms, ample parking, relaxing gardens,. Amazing food and friendly accommodating staff. The Gadlys is with Plas Rhianfa the two best establishments to stop on the island of Anglesey. The Gadlys is cheaper and more modern, so better value and owned by local people. Can't praise it enough from the colour of the walls to the choice of bathroom fitments. perfect.

Went in on the off chance as we saw the building work had finished. Well worth the visit. Nice view across the bay from the new restaurant and the beef burger was the best I've ever tasted.

As a couple with two young children we don't get out very often together so last night we were looking for somewhere really nice and the Gadlys didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely gorgeous and sourced locally. The atmosphere was busy but still very relaxed. The staff were fantastic and were quite comfortable conversing in Welsh with me and English with my husband all in the same conversation which is a massive plus for me! The grounds were beautifully maintained so we were able to walk off some of that lovely meal. Highly recommended. Diolch yn fawr.

Saw this hotel by chance whilst on holiday last week, and remembered my parents staying here in the 1950's. Was very impressed with the new decor and wonderful location. Had a lovely lunch, food and service were excellent.

What a lovely place. 25 of us came for food tonight to celebrate my Dad's Birthday, my Step-Mum's Birthday and their 1st Wedding Anniversary. We were seated in a lovely room all to ourselves. Dan and the rest of the staff were absolutely fab, service was smooth and the food was delish. Massive thank you also for looking after both birthday cakes and bringing them out for Dad and Rose when we were ready. Already looking forward to our next visit x x x.

I attended the gadlys on wednesday for valantines. We did enjoy the food but we were disappointed at the same time. My fiancee has an intolerance to eggs, so his choice of meal was very limited especially the deserts. We found that we had no choice but the have a full three course as the price wasnt negotiable. The mains on the menu werent worded corrrctly and we got confused when our mains arrived. The television was on which was a dristaction and also with it being valantines day abit of romantic music wouldnt go a miss. With out deserts out plates had been cleared way before the couple next to us were waited 10/15 minutes for our deserts, the couple next to us recieved them before us. I am disappointed as we do like the gadlys but we found wednesday very disppointing.

The food is awful and so is the service. I most certainly will NOT recommend. I have been three times and each time found the food to be over priced and unappetizing.

Haven't stayed in the accommodation but I can say that the food here is so nice! First time we went it was in need of a bit of salt and pepper but it seems they have sorted that out now, very accommodating and friendly staff especially considering there was a big party of us! Can't thank them enough for such a good experience before and after my mother's wedding.

Great little hostel style accommodation in a beautiful and practical location for a stay in North Wales. For sporty types they offer secure bike storage and even have a drying room for your kit. Had a great night with lots of random people in the Lyme lounge bar with some nice beers and good selection of spirits. Decor is a bit tired and kitchen equipment needs looking at but for the price it did for a night.

A beautiful picturesque view from hotel. The overall quality and the high standard of workmanship in this hotel is excellent. A very warm welcome in the restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. Had a lovely lunch from the specials board called "Santa's Sandwich". Highly recommended! All the food that was brought out to other tables looked very appetising with generous portions. Will certainly be recommending this little gem to all our friends and family. Many thanks.

Amazing night lovely service. Great looking establishment there is a motor racing theme which is great and the bar looks amazing. Lovely welcome great staff. Food was a taste sensation Amazing loved it.

We went for a meal and drinks with friends. Two meals were good, two were less than impressive. The Gadlys seems quite up-market having been recently renovated to a high standard. The decor is clean and smart with touches of a Motorsports theme. The grounds are mature and well-kept and it has a commanding view of Cemaes Bay, especially from the large open terrace which is perfect for sunny days. There is a good selection of drinks, including a wine list and a cocktail list but the food is pretty standard pub fare. I gather there are plans to improve the menu after recent staff changes. This would be more in keeping with the overall up-market feel. Currently only the food and the odd decor in the washrooms keep the Gadlys from a five-star review.

Been staying here for the last 3 weeks. The staff are very friendly, service is brilliant and food delicious. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and most of all comfortable. The bathrooms (as are the rooms) spotless. This has been newly refurbished to a very high standard and I'm impressed. The hotel staff, hotel food and hotel itself is the best I've stayed in. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Cemaes the most northernly village in north Wales. I'm happy to come back anytime!

Lovely place to stay. Old fashioned hotel, but still kept together nicely. The food in the restaurant is nice and the people who work there are lovely.

We went today for Sunday Lunch. It's a lovely place and the food was delicious. The place is newly opened and the staff, although entirely pleasant and very willing, are inexperienced as yet and were therefore somewhat overwhelmed. They deserve to do well because, as I've said, it's lovely. I'm sure the service will improve and we will surely go back.

Stayed for 4nights. If you want modern with all the trimmings then this hotel is not for you. But if you want history and antique furniture and a relaxed atmosphere then you will find this in abundance at the gadlys. The food in restaurant was first class. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners Paul and pat and nothing was to much trouble for them. I would definitely return here again for a stay in the future. Tess and Chris stone. Thank you.
