Just had brunch, what a lovely location overlooking the lake watching the water skiing and a family of geese went by. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere and the food was delicious. Only feedback would be that a couple of times we had to ask where our drinks were as waited for quite a bit but it wasn't a problem. Would highly recommend.

The place is so nice and the staff smiling and friendly, I had the best risotto since I was in the UK and I sent my compliments to the the chef 😊my boyfriend had a burger and he said it was really nice he said we are definitely coming back but in the summer cause I d like to sit outside by the lake next time 😊

Wow, we stayed for 1 night at this beautiful pub. Well the room was lush, staff were amazing, such brilliant customer service, lovely lovely lovely. Food, I can't even describe, it literally is the best food I have ever had, starter, main, dessert & breakfast blew us away. 150% recommend, I definitely will be back quite a few times a Yr & will absolutely stay at the hotel again, I've already told lots of my friends. Also amazingly priced, get booking everyone you defo will not regret it. Also our family meet up once a Yr at Xmas & have been saying to do one in summer, so I've found our new venue. Thank you all at this stunning pub, bloody loved it. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

We stayed overnight and it was lovely. Great cocktails followed by delicious food and then we retired to our snug room which was so quiet, and actually felt just like being on a boat. Highly recommended for a sneaky little getaway…

Yes, this is a lovely rustic pub, with great food and service. We stayed the night as well and the room was lovely, cosy, and clean.

Good mains but otherwise poor. Ordered breads whilst we waited for mains, our mains came out and we asked where the bread was as it hadnt come explained that we didnt want them now. They were still bought to the table whilst we were eating mains so I explained again that we didnt want them. Childrens sausage meal is on the menu as Cumberland sausage with mash carrot caramel and greens what we actually received was sausage chips and peas. Another main ordered was supposed to come with a charred corn cob, was actually just a few sweetcorn kernels in the rocket on the side. Custard with the sticky toffee pudding was like water with loads of lumps of gelatine stuck to the bottom. Of the pot, when I asked what the lumps were I was told they're sugar… sugar which dissolves in hot liquid!? 🤥🤔. Previously been really impressed with this place but definitely wont be visiting again. Such a shame because they can/do turn out some lovely food.

Excellent food the best we have had we have never been here so we thought give it a go as its our anniversary well absolutely delicious food hats off to the chefs and also lovely staff I will be definitely back!

Great location overlooking The Lake, but food experience and service was disappointing for us. Not informed of changes to menu, appeared to have run out of breakfast items. Despite flagging issues to staff, felt there was no follow up or interest in the things that were pointed out.

First visit to this lovely place…had a late breakfast, good food and very friendly staff.

Wonderful contactless takeaway last night. We ordered cheeseburgers, chips and onion rings and they were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we found an escaped Labrador from a nearby house upon leaving and ended up with cold food by the time we had dealt with the lost doggie, but we could tell the food was still delicious and we will definitely order again.

Best takeaway we have had in years, whole family ate it and loved it.! the cookies for pudding were the best.

Myself and 2 girlfriends ate here last night outside (Covid recommended).
It was a cold night and we did eat dinner in coats and hats and scarfs but it was actually really lovely and peaceful and quiet.
The food was amazing and the staff were absolutely lovely.
Fully recommend this place!

I Love this pub! it's been I firm favourite since I moved into the area! They have done some amazing things during this lockdown for the community! Their Roast dinnerware great and I had the brunch between the two lockdowns and it was a great treat! Ordered burgers and milkshakes on Thursday and ate them in the car we couldn't wait! one of the best and most flavourful burgers I've ever had! Thank you and cannot wait to come back!

A trip down memory lane. I hadn't been there for 45 years. The lunch was superb and the staff were excellent.

I have always had fond memories of Wiremill but last nights meal was very disappointing. Although the food tasted nice I have no idea what it looked like as it was so dark! The staff were stretched and not very attentive. We waited 30mins for the drinks. It would also be helpful if people entered via the steps and exited along the slope. Customers should also not be allowed to skip from one table to another. Èy.

Our second time we have been to the wiremill lakeside. Food fantastic great value for money. Friendly staff. Be back soon xx.

We had dinner there last night. The location is lovely and staff are very friendly. To start with we had the squid and chorizo which I couldn’t fault. When it came to mains they had sadly ‘sold out’ of the main I wanted but didn’t see one person that night have it either so maybe just lack of pork? My other half had the beef wellington which I tried too and it was very tasty and a good size. I chose fish and chips as A spur of the moment option as pork belly was sold out and it was not very nice at all. The fish itself was ok but she chips were cold and similar to oven chips you would buy from a supermarket. It’s a shame as have been looking forward to trying this restaurant for ages. Maybe I just chose the wrong thing on the menu. Once again tho staff were very friendly and polite.

Brilliant service. We ordered a few bits online, including a BBQ pack and freshly baked croissants (which smelt amazing). The website is so quick and easy to use. The collection is so well organised and safe at the moment. The quality of goods was fantastic. We had a lovely BBQ today. Thank you! Keep up the great work!

Popped along to the Wiremill for their fish and chip Friday, wow is all we can say! We all loved our fish and chip dinner! My daughter keeps asking when we are going back for chips! It was so tasty and the service was amazing! A great big thank you to you all for your kindness in looking after your community and the wonderful work you are doing!

Had the best meal out we have had in ages, staff super slik and friendly, just the best setting. Love this pub 3rd visit just gets better every time.

We arrived for my birthday meal and our table wasn’t even laid up. There were remnants of food on the chairs left over from previous guests. Menus were just thrown down on the table and when I asked whether our table was going to be laid up I got told it’s always like this, we like to give the relaxed approach. Most of our party ordered roasts but when they arrived they forgot to put vegetables on the plates. When this was brought to the attention of the staff we got told they had run out of vegetables! We then got given a mound of garden peas. Yorkshire pudding was cremated and over cooked. Really disappointed with this place.

Only had one visit so far but hoping to go again and again. Loved the chicken & leek pie, not so much the grilled cabbage leaf. The clementine tart was to die for. Guy who served us well deserved the large tip we left. Thank you for a lovely introduction to a new venue for us to go and eat.

of the lake. Very serene. We have leaving meal overlooking the lake, it was really nice. We was very looked after by Sunny, he made sure we was ready for each course, very polite & helpful, also looked after by the other guys. The food food wasnicely cooked & well presented. We had a very nice time there. Thank you to all the staff, for making us welcome :)

This was my first time in the UK and I tried the bangers and mash. I must say it was so good! Would recommend this place not only for the food and drinks but for the view as well!

Food was not very good could not find the stilton cheese in my burger and only one slice of mushroom my partners fish and chips tasted like it had come out of the freezer and baked in the oven.

Been to the wiremill quite a few times but only for drinks. Yesterday we did lunch and I couldnt fault it. Good food and good service. Beautiful location.

Waited 40 minutes at lunchtime. My husband's duck leg sat on a small pile of vegetables with no potatoes. My Caesar salad was too much for the small bowl it came in, brown ended lettuce in places with not enough dressing and a pool of watery liquid in the bottom. No one came back to ask us how our meal was. Very young and harrassed looking staff with no one seeming to be in charge. Management really need to sort this place out, it is definitely not a Gastro pub!
Settled Bill and left without waiting for pudding. Wished we'd read the reviews on Trip Advisor before we went Not impressed and won't be back.

Over priced pre bought rubbish I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating! £11.50 for half a fillet of smoked mackerel and white bait with a dry under cooked part baked pre bought roll! Then the ribs where do I start? Vac pac microwaved dry meat with a token dribble of over sweet bbq sauce with a green slim dressing dwarves on a tray with sweaty coleslaw and dry cheap chips buried underneath! And don’t get me started on the cheese sandwich! Ruined my partners birthday lunch and we only paid the bill because her mum was treating us! The pubs only saving grace is the setting which is very much let down by the food! Come on self service peanuts… are you kidding me? I did mention to the bar staff about the bread and it was replace WITHOUT an apology but the replacement was just as dry as the first! I will not return here to eat not will I encourage anyone else to eat there! You get far better food at a harvester and that pretty much sums it up!

Came for breakfast and it was sooo good we came back for dinner. Fish and chips was beautiful and the brownie is to die for. Lovely hidden gem. Really great staff, great atmosphere and lush food. And the chef was a star! Thank you and we will def be back to try Sunday lunch.

The venue can not be faulted, absolutely stunning. The food however, so disappointing and terribly over priced! I took my boyfriend here on his birthday, we both ordered beef Wellington, the pastry was soggy, the beef was chewy, and it really wasn’t tasty at all. We were told it came with vegetables, we each got one broccoli which was really hard and cold! The portion size was pathetic to say the least. The service, not fantastic, we weren’t checked on through out the evening and no one even offered us pudding at the end of the meal. We were both hugely let down. I had called the restaurant about 10 times regarding my booking, no one ever answered the phone, I left messages about 4 times, no one ever called me back. It’s such a shame that this restaurant is so perfectly positioned in Surrey, I hope that they can improve the quality of the meals and the standard can be raised. I certainly won’t be returning any time soon! Maybe for a drink, but won’t be ordering food.

Worth a read guys as it offers a true account of a bank holiday! Hi, after we’d pre booked our meals with you guys we thought things would be made simple, however on arrival at the arrange time our table wasn’t ready and to be fair it didn’t really seem like you were expecting us at all.
The table was eventually arranged and we sat down, our drinks ordered did take a while but we forgave that on the basis it was bank holiday and the sun was in full effect! The food looked great on arrival but didn’t fulfil the expectations, there was a lack of veg/greens and the food itself was cold, the spuds were hard and barely edible and as for the curried parsnip, very random! We had a group of 13 and to be totally honest if half of them hadn’t travelled 3hrs from Nottingham direct to the venue they would not of eaten it but hunger alone consumed the undesirable meal. One of the party was our 86yr old grandma who’d travelled for 3hrs and she ate nothing.
The overall experience was shocking, some entertained your puddings and again they were far from luke warm and not justifying the price tag.
The young staff on hand tried to deal with the situation and expressed their sincere apologies but strangely there was no manager on site and we were in fact told the manager had booked the day off?
Wow bank holiday weekend and the manger had booked the potentially busy day as a holiday!
