To be honest we were struggling to find somewhere to park so decided to park at The Height and have some dinner. So very glad we did. Food was well presented and tasted fabulous. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Terrible service. Tables were dirty. One person serving at the bar coughing into her hand and shouting whos next. Despite clearly seeing the queue in front of her. Bar manager being lazy sat on his chair at the back. When he could of helped out to serve. Would not recommend, as there was limited choice of food and the service was atrocious. We ended up leaving without food or a drink as we were waiting for a prolonged period of time in the queue.

Came by after being on the lake for a bite and some drinks. A man came in and had a seizure in front of my table and I was very impressed with how how well the staff tendered to him they were only young lads but they acted straight away and made sure he moved on safely. Well done this could of ended badly if the staff had not acted so quickly. Well done once again heights.

I want to say today was brilliant we had a fantastic time — exceeded my expectations and our daughter loved seeing Elsa, Olaf and of course Santa.
Santa was excellent really took time to chat and was very convincing!
The food well wow plenty of it just perfect for my husband he managed to finish it off, fantastic value for money today.
If you do this again next year for Christmas I will be back.

I had to attend a funeral of a family member. From initial contact to the day I left, these guys couldn't do enough for me. It's a very basic accommodation, but it's clean, it's warm and I cannot stress this enough, the staff are very friendly. The bed was beyond basic, but very comfy and I slept like a baby.

Beautiful place, good atmosphere but very shocked at the price of food in the evening well over £10 for sausage & mash & the mark up was across the whole menu.

We were with a large group and the staff were VERY VERY HELPFULL AND WELCOMING THEY WERE BRILLIANT. They recommend a taxi and rang them for 1 lone female member of the party. The food was good homemade tastey and was served Hot and with a smile.

Had food for two adults and two children, service was fantastic and the food was very nice and home cooked. Highly recommend.

Amazing food, fast friendly service. Nice pint of beer, decor dated but goes well with the character of the building. When we visit this part of Wales again we will definitely go back here.

Very friendly staff all round. Good selection of beer and spirits food well presented and hot. Just what you need after a long drive or climb. Accomadation very basic as expected from a bunkhouse. But warm and quiet. Would recommend.

Beautiful building, plenty of parking and external seating on first view. Inside there were two dining areas, all full when we attended. The dining situation was a bit different; we expected table ordering but it was help yourself to a menu (once you find them) and order and at the bar. My group had no problem ordering but I found there wasn't a lot of variety — beef dishes or veggie burger. I can't eat red meat, so I felt a bit disappointed. The food and portions were good. Service was good too.

We stayed as a family group of 7. This was my first experience of staying in a hostel and possibly my last. This wasn't in any way down to the staff as they were all very friendly and helpful, or the hostel itself. The rooms were adequate although the mattresses could do with being updated and the pub was perfect with lots of room and lovely big tables. I would recommend the heights to others as the location is perfect for climbing snowdon, the reason for our visit. This was more down to the inconsiderate other guests shouting at all hours of the night and thinking it would be funny to set off a fire alarm at 1.15 am! I guess when you're only paying £20 a night what do you expect? But as an older guest I would like to have a bit of sleep. Maybe we were just unlucky but we did stay for 2 nights and had lots of noise both nights.

Very busy when we were there due to triathlon etc but at the back it was much quieter. We ordered food and it came very quick and was very good. For some reason you couldn't pay by card at the back bar but you could at main bar and to get coffee you had again go to the main bar. Also the toilets were not very clean, but overall a nice pub.

Excellent food (the pies are fantastic), perfect place to eat the night before climbing Snowdon. Incredibly friendly and huge amounts of room to get a seat if your in a large group. Could recommend it enough.

Always stop in here for a pint or dinner when were in Llanberis. One of those pubs that's welcoming and friendly even if it's packed. Love it. Great food too!

Fantastic food! Quality vegan and veggie options. Buzzing atmosphere they welcome walkers, cyclists etc. Sky sports is available here and there is a large veer garden. Great for groups or on your own. Staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Pleased we found this spot.

I had a chicken and leek pie which was great. The chips that came with it were extremely tasty, but the pie was more of a chicken and leek soup in a bowl, covered by a pastry top that make it look like a pie. To me it seemed like an easy way out of making a pie, hence the 4 stars, but the food was delicious.

My wife and I attended the Heights last night for a drink originally but stayed for a meal, the staff were both helpful and pleasant, we both had a starter and a main meal, the food was of excellent quality and we did not have to long for the food to come out, I would recommend a visit to this establishment if you like quality food.

Needed somewhere to pop in for some food and a drink after a long car drive and before heading off to zip world. This was idea! A bit strange inside and doesn't quite look like you'd expect a pub to look. Lovely friendly barmaid working. Decent selection of larger and ale on tap and more bottles available. Ordered some food which was lovely! Reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

Great pub! Went in both preparation and recuperation from climbing Snowdon :-) Both times we all thought the food and beer were great. Doom bar on draft, good burger, excellent beer chilli, might have stolen some of my wife’s beef and ale pie. All really good and very reasonably priced. Definitely recommended. Dodgy weather when we were there but also a nice big seating area outside — shared with cars but set back from the road.

Popped back in again this year, and the parking eye system has finally gone! Really enjoyed our stay, food and drink was great, service excellent even on a busy football match night. Keep it up!

Visited on a quiet midweek day and the food was nothing special at all. Cheap ingredients, which you can't hide in a sandwich… Two stars because staff were pleasant.

Nice food good service dogs welcome. Clean facilities. Could have done with being s bit warmer inside as it was freezing out. All in all a good friendly place.

Car owners received a parking fine after dining at this place. Very sneaky. No clear signs. Six of us somehow missed it, I don't think so! I wouldn't go again just based on their deception. Probably their main income.

Not the best place I've been for an afternoon beer and hot chocolate. Sign outside advitised real ales but the was only 1 and it wasn't great. The hot chocolate tasted like it was made with washing up water.

4 of us were down Snowdonia for two days hiking and on one evening we went into Llanberis to find somewhere nice to eat. It was the evening hurricane Ophelia was causing chaos so we drove into your car park and hurried into the restaurant so as not to get blown away. We ordered food and drinks and really enjoyed our evening so you can imagine my horror when 10 days later a parking ticket arrived through the post with a fine. Now unfortunately when we arrived at the car park we was more concerned about being blown away hence why we rushed inside and did not notice the parking signs but to be fair where we come from Scotland, restaurants/ pubs do not charge customers to park when they come into ur place to spend money, I know how naive of us. The shame in all this is that all four of us enjoyed our meal very much but this fine has left a sour taste in my mouth, we are regular visitors to Snowdonia but rest assured we will not make the mistake of going into Llanberis again and certainly not entering your restaurant.

Seven of us had a pleasant evening here on 8th August during a family walking holiday. Had a meal and a few drinks. I've just received a parking fine as a thank you. Welsh hospitality at its finest. Try putting a sign up — or at least warn your guests.

Came for a drink after walking snowdon — place lovely and nice area to be in. Received a parking fine after going that the venue turned over after a begrudging email — like it was too much effort to bother. Make sure you tell the staff you have parked there. I get why they do it, but signs are not as obvious as they make out. Put a bit of a sour taste — not sure if would return.

Decent pub, been here a few times when camping in the area or for a pint after hiking up Snowdon. Relaxed atmosphere. Reasonably priced drinks.

We arrived about 7pm last night having just walked up snowden. We were a group of 4 pre booked in for the night.
We were checked in swiftly and the place was fairly busy and looked amazing. Having been taken to our room it was basic bunkhouse style which is what we expected, however there was no lighting in bathroom that worked. We percivered and had showers in the dark. We read on the website that food served until 9 only to be told when we went down that kitchen was closed, it was just gone 8. We then had a pint at the bar to work out where to go for food and told the gentleman who had checked us in that our shower room had no light. He said would see time it. I returned to room after the pint and still no light. It remained unfixed. Having chosen the heights specifically for location and fact we could have food after long trek, it was very disappointing.

Great little hostel with low room prices and lovely staff. A short walk to the summit of Mount Snowdon and everything you need on your doorstep. The only negative thing I could say that it can sometimes be very noisy. Early hours of the morning there were doors slamming shut so I didn't sleep great. These things could be addressed by slowing the pace in which the room doors shut. Besides that if ever I'm back this way again I shall definitely call in.

I loved my visit to the heights, it has a very homey feel to it. It's basically an introvert's dream, open spaces, amazing food, comfy furniture, good music playing on the speakers, friendly staff and to top it all off it had an extensive array of alcohol!

Can't really fault the Heights as a venue, it's not the Ritz but it caters for hikers and other visitors in a wet part of the country. Great pub grub and a good bar. Register any car you park in the spacious car park in the front, otherwise non patrons will get charged. Friendly staff and a very cosmopolitan clientele. I love it there.

I will not be eating here again. I dined and parked here last year and had no bother. This year I parked here and dined here to get home and find a £100 parking charge that has taken me ages to appeal. Unneeded hassle from a holiday meal. Sort it out Heights. I shouldn't have to deal with this.

The chef is no chef! He's a cook imo, asked for a medium rare steak and it was dry and cooked all the way through, complained and they said we will cook it rare, came out medium! I should have kept to my golden rule, don't eat steak in the U. K. As no one knows how to cook them! Plus the "welsh" beef was tough as old boots, and that a compliment… steak and ale pie was good, so that's why they get 3 stars for effort there.

Superb food & in big portions. Lovely staff, certainly recommend. You get value for money.

We dropped into The Hights pub/resturant after completing Snowdon via the Llan beris path after a recommendation. The location was very good with free parking for patrons it a beautifully large building with plenty of tables though I was lucky to get one around 3pm on bank holiday saturday! We ordered and sat down and not long our food arrived looking superb, I was a bit worried whilst waiting as my tables was next to the kitchen entrance and heard the microwave ding around 20 times. All food described as homemade my wife had steak and ale pie chips and peas the accompaniments were delightful but the pie its self was very lack luster I can only hazard a guess that they microwaved the pie as its pastry was solid and dry, not just dry like sand in the mouth dry, the top crust was delicious and must have been grilled sepratly as it wasn't attached to the rest of the pie but placed on top. The steak in the pie needed another hour of cooking as it totally unchewable. I fancied a curry of which they had 2 on offer I went for the punjabi chicken described as med/hot when arrived it also looked spectacular, with perfectly cooked rice (microwaved) its forgiveable I don't expect them to cook rice to order as no indian/pakistani resurant in the land does. Two small supermarket style naan breads. The curry was delightful but lacked spice around halfway through it was getting quite sickly with the main taste being coconut milk The chicken was soft and well cooked.

This might been a one off but I went in with a couple of friends after a day of climbing and it was full of groups playing drinking games. It's not necessarily a problem, but it wasn't exactly a peaceful place to go. One of the ladies behind the bar was lovely, but unfortunately the same can't be said for all of the staff.

Very Rude! I called to enquire about booking a room for a stag party after climbing Tryfan — I get it, most places don't like Stag parties but the chap who answered the phone was extremely rude and said 3 words "no stag parties" and slammed the phone down. On that basis I wouldn't touch the place with a barge pole — customer service no existent — god help you if you want a splash of lime in your beer!

The Heights has changed dramatically for the better.
I come up to Llanberis 5-6 times a year and and was let down by the service but over the past 2 years I have noticed how it has changed into a an enjoyable place to come to after my walks and enjoy the atmosphere, food and beer Keep up the good work guys

Just had a lovely meal here! Came after visiting The Slate Museum. Lasagne and crispy beef to start. Delicious and portion sizes were great. Very worth the money. Also think the atmosphere was loeloely and peaceful. Staff were very friendly. 1 even went the extra mile to help me pick my money up I had dropped everywhere. Thank you to adding to our holiday.

Terrible, looked at the menu online before we went and it looked lovely. Got there and there was no service and I was handed a grubby stained menu that id expect to see in a roadside cafe. Nothing that was on their menu online was on the menu in the "restaurant" and im not paying £10.95 for a hunters chicken when perched on an uncomfy bench surrounded by drunks. We went down the road in the end to "Y Glyntwrog" which was nothing short of amazing and a third less of the price.

Cool place to hang around for food and local ales after a day of trekking in Snowdon.

The food was average for the price you pay. I think it's too expensive. Nothing's special. Very little choice of beer. There was only one barman and obviously the service was really-really slow because of that. The atmosphere is chilled — true.

The food was good and reasonable, the single ale on (Doom Bar — but they have several beer engines) was a bit tired (to be fair it was a Tuesday), host was friendly, nice surroundings, rustic decor and free Wi-Fi. Promises much. Surfaces/tables were dirty for such a quiet time. Loo's weren't the greatest, no soap either!
