Ordered a takeaway tonight for the first time. Really enjoyed it. Food was excellent.

Had lovely fish and chips as part of their takeaway service tonight. It was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend this.

Our food tonight was amazing absolutely no faults at all! Best chips we’ve had in a while too! Huge portions decent prices and the macaroni pie was amazing! Definitely be back to try the fish!

The Great Western Hotel / The Terrace on Gt Western Road, Aberdeen, have started serving food again. We went today to have a family catch-up (as it is not allowed in the house). Food was lovely, service great (as usual) and lovely to see lots of tables of families eating/drinking and trying to make the most of some sort of normality and support a local business x.

Just had a meal and the food was really nice. Would certainly recommend it and we’ll definitely be back!

The staff were amazing, asked for more milk for room girls gave me a whole jug and no cost, evening meal was lovely. Sports bar had a great atmosphere, breakfast was really good. Room was very clean, small but manageable, been to hotel twice now and most definately will return. Off road parking in hotel ground and free parking on the small streets next to hotel.

Great sports bar at the back with good beers.

Bar area and restaurant has great atmosphere and great deco. Superb breakfast. Room okay nothing special but clean and roomy. Decent stay.

Was down for wife's birthday had a great room with a balcony bed nice and comfy very clean shower is great the staff very friendly and helpful we had food on the Saturday in the bar I had nachos the chilli was cold my wife's steak was well under cooked from the way she asked for it I had the red Thai curry (beef) meat was very pink, grisly and cold the naan was cold and dry I will stay here again but I will not be eating here again which is a shame as everything else was excellent had breakfast on the Sunday checkout day was reluctant to go after the terrible food the night before but very much enjoyed breakfast.

Very clean and bit out from the city centre but taxis cheap so no problem. Serves good food and has a sports bar open to the public. Would recommend to anyone looking for decent budget accommodation.

Nice restaurant with good menu and food. Very good selection of bottled beers.

Spacious, clean rooms with great front of house and behind the bar service. Only put four stars as the breakfast provided was cold and not as advertised.

Rooms and staff were great but the buffet breakfast in the morning only had cereal, a toaster that takes 5-10 minutes, and only a handful of sausages and bacon available. Despite an advertised 10+ item breakfast…

I'm afraid I was really, really disappointed with our stay this weekend. Busy parents of 2 under 5s and we don't often get out. Our room was teeny tiny (looked NOTHING like the pics on here) bed was uncomfortable, it was unbearably hot and the shower flooded. We enjoyed our lunch at the restaurant, if a little overpriced. We went out for our evening meal and on returning found it extremely difficult to get parked anywhere nearby. Very rowdy sports bar put us off having an evening drink. Breakfast service was way below expectation, waitress seemed uninterested and didn't ask how we wanted our eggs or if we wanted white or brown toast, turned up at the table with no toast (We had to ask for it after 10 min wait) and hash browns substituted for tattie scones, no one told us about this or asked if it was ok… it was not. Disappointed is an understatement. Do not go.

It was a pleasant stay. Hotel has own restaurant so it was a selection of English/ Scottish style breakfast. It is very close to the city centre and it has own parking.

The room we had was on top floor with a balcony. Sounds good but was too hot as one wall was all glass doors and no escaped from sun unless blind left down. Also hotel was supposed to be no smoking but balcony was clearly used for smoking judging by amount of cigarette butts on balcony. No lift either so not ideal for carrying luggage up two flights of stairs. Restaurant was bring used for private party so we had to eat in bar which was a bit noisy as rugby match being shown on TV screen. On plus side food was was very good.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, good breakfast. Has a nice pub too, but that can't be heard in the rooms. Not so far from the city center.

Bar was busy but good atmosphere. No real ale but plenty of tap beers.

Nice place clean tidy, and a good sports bar.

Just returned from a fantastic meal with friends. The food was great and the service was fantastic as usual. The only thing that put a slight dampner on our evening was another guest in the corner been very rude and obnoxious to the waitress (some people will say anything for a free meal! ) Apart from that it was great evening and I'll look forward to our next visit.

Visted late on a Saturday afternoon. Great choice on the menu, very attentive waitresses and altogether very enjoyable visit.

The rooms stank of solvent and it was dizzying. The rooms were too hot they made you sweat. The breakfast was nice.

Nice place. Good selection of beers . Nice food. Comfortable rooms and beds.

Visited here with family and friends. The restaurant area was busy so sat in the bar. Had coffee and scone which were free. They were amazing, came hot with cream, butter and jam. We have also had breakfast here a few times and the buy one get one free Sunday roast.

The hotel and staff r very good will come back thanks to the staff.

Having had a really good meal and excellent service back in April, we went to the restaurant today and was very dissatisfied with the food and service. One of us ordered the brisket and the other two the turkey. The vegetables served with all 3 meals were rock hard and inedible, the brisket was full of fat and gristle. What little beef there was, was so tough that an ordinary knife couldn’t cut through it. Even when a steak knife was supplied, that still couldn’t get through the beef. Not once did the waitress ask if everything was ok with our meal. Upon complaining to the waitress, there was no apology, she only asked if a replacement or something else was wanted. As we were already being rushed out because they were supposedly fully booked at 2pm, my friend declined. When we went to pay, we had already informed the waitress that we would not be paying for the beef, we again complained about the quality of the food, and the response was a shrug of the shoulders and it’s not my fault! When we left at 3pm, there were only a couple of tables with people at them, so couldn’t understand why we were rushed to move out of our booth. We will not return!

The meal was OK (chips a little "crisp" and the medium-rare steak a little too medium), the company was great … the music was way too loud for something I wanted to listen to — er, NO!, for the rubbish that was being played … it was chronically loud! Sadly, don't think I'll be back!
