Beautiful hotel with fabulous views. Setting amazing. Food superb and spa facilities great. Staff could not have been more helpful. Defo go again.

Our daughter was married on Saturday 28th July 2018. Many thanks to Rhona, Jordan and all the staff at the Gleddoch for a fabulous day. Your care and attention couldn’t have been any better throughout the entire day. A fantastic venue for a wedding, we’ve had so much great feedback from so many of our guests. We would thoroughly recommend the Gleddoch to anyone and are so glad we chose your hotel. We have no hesitation in giving you 5 stars. Thanks again. Valerie & Ian Kirkpatrick.

Excellent rooms, comfortable beds, friendly helpful staff. Food varied and well presented. Some wonderful views from the balconies. Didn't personally try the spa facilities as we were golfing, so can't comment, but others said they were super. Found the whole experience very relaxing.

Still a work in progress. Winter greens in late April was disappointing. But with a mature, reasonably challenging, interesting and scenic layout there's no excuse for failure. Great little Pro Shop that doesn't exploit a captive audience. Lounge bar and balcony very pleasant.

Room was very spacious clean and warm. Food was very good. Spa experience was excellent. Only drawback (for me with a sore knee) was the amount of stairs within building. Staff were very friendly and professional. I definitely would go back.

Went for afternoon tea, very disappointed. Sandwiches terrible, spread which was on sandwiches disgusting had to scrape it off. Where not offered or given choice of sandwiches. One thin slice of processed ham per sandwich. Roast beef barely visible had horseradish on which I don't like. Salmon not suitable. Small scones few small bite size cakes. Very disappointed as this is a 4/5 country house. No table cloth. Suggest u send one of your staff to Mar Hall to see how afternoon tea should be served.

Fantastic venue for my son and daughter in law's wedding 7th April 2018. Rooms amazing staff couldn't do enough for you. Food great. Everybody had a great time thanks very much.

Couple, 30 + 32 years old, March 2018 hotel looks great on the Internet or on the promotional photos at the airport, for example.
When you drive up the driveway, the great impression is confirmed.
The traditional construction, the noble exterior effect, the lobby… The impressed one as a guest and one feels well for his (not small) money.
Unfortunately, the impression only kept us up to the handover of the keys. The unfriendly and annoyed young lady explained to us in incomprehensible English in which outbuilding we find our room and that we should park our car.
The hallways of our accommodation were spotty, dirty, unclean… our room at first sight nice, but on closer look just as dirty as the hallways (see photos). The indirect lighting was flickering and the breakfast the next morning was a disaster. The dining room was messy and with a lot of GDR charm, cutlery and tableware abgegrabbelt and spotty, the carpet consisted of a mix of stains and lint and one looked at a construction site (maybe they just make the plant chic for the season).
Food is a matter of taste, we have not tasted it at all… the egg was still raw, the baguettes were not finished, the juice smelled of chemistry etc… But everyone has different preferences.

Lovely place. Views amazing. Spa and amenities excellent. Food not so good ordered room service. Food was cold very little on the plate.

My niece got married here the weekend of the beast from the east. At one point it was doubtful if their dream wedding would go ahead as planned. But Gleddoch did there part and more to ensure everything was perfect for their big day We spent a lovely weekend here. Nice rooms.

Super experience. Beautifully refurbished! Only note was, reception staff didn’t welcome or smile. All other departments were super friendly. Loved the Spa. Many thanks.

Nice and clean hotel. A lot of stairs to do, so don't pack too much as you will need to carry your luggage. Breakfast is just sufficient to start your day. Service is impeccable.

What a lovely Hotel. We stayed there overnight with children as a treat before Christmas. It was lovely waking up on Christmas Eve feeling relaxed after using the spa facilities. Everything from staff to room, food and scenery were 1st class. Also as we checked out, it was great to see carrots and santa keys on the reception desk for children staying on Christmas Eve. We would definitely return.

Really nice rooms, did have an issue with the people above me making lots of noise… could hear them walking about. Use of the spa in the am was nice though, staff were great.

My mates wedding, we had a great time due to the company, the food was decent. However service was poor, 1 person on the bar. Became over crowded. Large gaps between meals. Botched reception.

I recently visited for an overnight stay and was really impressed with the room I was given on arrival. The highlight of the trip was definitely going down to the leisure area — all staff were nice, especially a young man called Calum. He approached myself with a great, cheery and positive attitude and went out his way to make my experience worthwhile. Overall, my stay was great and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting away for a relax.

Spa day with my wife with treatments in the treatment rooms. Spa pool is nice shape size to swim in also quite quite during midweek when we attended. Staff were very attentive explaining and pointing out heated stone sun loungers, sauna, steam rooms indoor hot tub and uncovering outside hot tub. Afternoon tea in the restaurant was nice would have liked to have seen clotted cream with scones rather than whipped cream. Restaurant and spa has lovely views across the Scottish hills and estuary. Massage was very relaxing in well decorated and comfortable surroundings Would use the spa again as it was very quiet and not overbusy like others we have been too.

Fantastic wedding at the Gleddoch Hotel, will have to return to use the facilities. Brilliant day, thank you Gleddoch Hotel staff.

It's been a while since we've been at Gleddoch, the layout has changed considerably, the staff are nice, attentive and there when you need them. Now because we were attending a wedding the service, food, weren't up to par (sorry about the pun)! For whatever reason after the ceremony, which was excellent, when we went to the 'golf' part of the hotel where the reception was to be held, it faltered. The service was shocking, the meal was bland, and afterwards when the nights entertainment began, I believed we would move to a different room. The room we had eaten in was a bit tight', and that's me being nice about it. The room we felt, was too small for the number of guests. Yes there was a nice terraced area, but we weren't eating outside. There was also an area at the bar where you could sit, but that meant leaving the main room. However, we had the meal, speeches etc, then left for the hotel to turn the room round for the evenings entertainment. Unfortunately, because there were more guests arriving the room did not lend itself to a comfortable night. The DJ set up in the middle of the room, therefore when people went to the bar from their table, they had to return to their seats over the dance floor and try to avoid people dancing while juggling glasses and bottles. Not, shall we say, "ideal"! The extra guests meant that the tables were positioned in such a way that it was virtually impossible to navigate the room easily.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, recently been refurbished and what a great job it has been! The views are stunning! Food in the bar was lovely. Well worth a visit. I will be back to use the spa soon!

Spa day — I bought the spa day for my wife's birthday and what a great relaxing day we had. The spa facilities are excellent and it's great to see young families using the pool also. The indoor hot tub was great, both sauna and steam room were amazing as was the outdoor hot tub which we spent most of the time in. The massage treatments were incredible and so relaxed. Afterwards you are invited to stay and relax in the quite, dark room and lounge on the beds afterwards. Highly recommended for any couple. And if you are parents like us you will appreciate the break.

Amazing view from the hot tab at the balcony… very clean pool and sauna. Would def recommend it for couples. A bit expensive but it is worth a visit. Its a very romantic destination ;)

We turned up early evening and were expected as we had reserved in advance. Hotel is being renovated and we stayed in one of the "new" rooms. Lots of space, really comfortable beds, quiet, well fitted out bathroom and a good walk-in shower. Excellent attentive staff. The new bar/dining area looks as if it will be more spacious. Lovely walks and woke up to a view over the Clyde. Highly recommended.

Golf course in terrible condition, greens are a disgrace. Food was way below the standard we expected, was our 4th visit to gleddoch, will not return anytime soon.

Really enjoyed my stay and food was lovely was disappointed the pool and other spa equipment was closed for renovation but they had a room set up for massages and other treatments wanted which I thought was a good idea but I enjoyed my stay and was really impressed with my room and meal so have to give it a 5 star.

Had our Christmas do there and it was great.

Working in the area and stayed here and played golf a couple of times, good hotel and course, well maintained.

Wedding visit and enjoyed place ppl and service also views.

Staff were friendly, room clean and tidy, had a great time, our 5 year old daughter thoroughly embarrassed us in front of the waiting staff but they were great, engaged and chatted with us Definitely going back!

Just returned from a short 3 day break at the hotel. Bed & breakfast with dinner on two nights included. Thoroughly enjoyed it, food very good, staff excellent. 2 rounds of golf at £15 per round (Pro Shop not open Mondays during the winter therefore if you require pull trolleys/buggies book in advance). Could view the first tee from our room window. The couple with us had a room at the other side with wonderfrul views of Dumbarton and the Clyde estuary. Didn't use the Swimming pool and Gym but both available for use. Signs of wear and tear here and there. Couldnt fault the helpfulness of the staff from start to finish.

Loving my stay view is amazing and staff are helpful and welcoming will definately be coming back.

Spent a good night there, a comfortable and spacious room, the hotel has been decorated to a high standard but this was obviously a few years ago and a refurbishment is probably overdue, the staff were attentive and helpful, but the food was at best average, however the location is stunning and for the price it's a good deal, I recommend this hotel and we will be back.

I've been here a few times with my partner. We come to gleddoch hotel to get away from it all generally after Christmas for a couple of nights. The stay is always top class. From the second you walk in till you check out, the staff treat you like a VIP. The rooms are spacious clean and comfortable and the restaurant is absolutely lovely with again top class service. The pool is clean and warm with a steam room and sauna. They could all do with a bit of attention but pleasant all the same. We've been 3 times and will be back. Value for money clean and excellent service.
