Review of Dalmeny Park House Hotel 3*

Went here for my sister's wedding. The place didn't live up to the promise. The staff were slow, useless and generally unaware of what was going on. There was the exception of one staff member Keira who isn't actually normally stationed at Dalmeny. She was helpful friendly and all around proactive for my sister and brother in law's needs for their big day. I had to do a lot of the decoration of the day along with my mother and a few others of the wedding guests which is ridiculous when you're paying for a service to do it. We also found the coordinator who was too busy to help us selling another couple the wedding that WE coordinated. It was ridiculous! There were times the only bar at the reception didn't have staff and when they did they were a joke and didn't understand the simplest requests or how to use their systems. One of the staff even wanted me to take a tray of decoration down from the meal area to the reception because "it makes more sense". It's honestly horrendous how bad the management of the event was. As for our stay the bed was creaky and hard, the heating couldn't be controlled and we had only one old window that could be opened which led to a night of sweaty and horrible sleep. Myself and the newly married couple forgot an it each on our rooms and when we called to find out of they had been handed in by the housekeeping crew we were told "no sorry nothing has been handed on and there's nothing that we can do about it. " No apology or anything. We both knew exactly what was left and where we left them but apparently this meant we were liars in their eyes. Clearly they have some sticky fingered housekeeping members. I'm just glad the bride and groom were saved from the majority of the mess! Food was good though.
