Fantastic place very clean and tidy spotless room and en-suite food was top notch even with the current restrictions! Jan and her husband very friendly full of interesting local info great stay very very happy.

Just had another tasty dinner at The Robertson Arms. Lovely fish goujons followed by super tasty sticky toffee pudding. Very friendly and experienced staff. I'm hoping they'll be back open soon once the current restrictions are lessened for more tasty dinners out.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere, staff were attentive and helpful. Excellent food at reasonable prices, would definitely recommend and will be back again soon.

Just had our Christmas dinner. Have to say this is the second year we went and it was just as lovely as the first year. Staff are friendly and very attentive. The food was amazing plenty to eat can’t wait to go back again x.

Cracking room had everything you need. Food was beute. Staff were loverly and helpful. Will be back soon. And they do 3 days golf 3 nights B&B £170. And golf clubhouse is directly across the road. And the course is amaizing.

I was very impressed with the number of gluten free options on the menu which is unusual in most restaurants and cafes. The menu was large and had good, classic dishes on it. The staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. The decor is stylish. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. I highly recommend the Robertson Arms Hotel.

Had a lovely meal tonight & very child friendly which was fantastic ☺️☺️ our little boy was in his glory with the toy chest food was delicious & service excellent! We will be making this a regular occurrence.

Really nice little find. Only stayed 1 night whilst passing through. Single room whilst small didn't feel cramped. Room was very clean and ensuite had a good powerful shower which was welcomed after a long days drive. I also had my evening meal here the seafood platter starter which was very fresh and very enjoyable. For mains I had the burger again very tasty only complaint I have is why do chefs put good food on chopping boards which are too small for the big meal and why put chips in silly metal chip baskets. I know it's to look fancy but it's not pratical. That's my only gripe but the hey the food it's self was spot on. Also like to add that the staff are brilliant will definitely stay here again of I'm lucky enough to be on the area.

Staying here for a few days and can really recommend it. It’s a lovely hotel, as soon as you arrive you feel welcome and my room is perfect. I’m travelling alone so have a single room. Lovely and clean and well catered for. The menu for breakfast and dinner is great, so much choice and every meal was lovely quality and very tasty and well presented. A great place to stay if you are travelling about as pretty central for Edinburgh, Lanark and Glasgow. The village itself has a post office, a local shop and a few other little shops. Would definitely stay again next time I’m here.

Very nice comfortable most of the staff friendly would have given it a five but for the guy that served the drinks did not seem very friendly must have been an off day.

Enjoyed my meal here hugely, had a fillet steak which was cooked as I had asked it for with a great amount of sides and the apple and blackberry crumble for dessert which was amazing. Service was friendly and quick but didn't feel rushed. Would definitely go back!

A Gem of a hotel. Family run which shows in the attentative staff and warm friendly welcome. Immaculate rooms with the personal touches that a family run hotel brings. Nothing is too much bother. Food was delicious with produce supplied by renowned local Scottish providers. No fast food frozen micronwave meals here. Would highly recommend for a visit even if it's just to have a meal.

My husband and I were there recently only had a drink but have been on other occasions for food whilst I cannot fault the food I am vegetarian and they have very little choice so for that reason we don't eat there often! Got to agree with previous comment about the male owner he is very rude and unpleasant and whilst we were there he raised his voice at another member of staff which there was no need for doesn't take much to smile or be grateful for your custom did not feel any warmth or welcoming atmosphere at any point in our visit would I return probably not rather spend my money elsewhere!
