We have been in for a wedding and if you can AVOID it the hotel main building looks the part but the place is dirty and the staff are not much use. we went into one of the cabins the hot tub was dirty not been cleaned for weeks it looked. the food was OK but the buffet meat was pink and well yea. if anyone is looking for a wedding venue please don't go to this place it will save you alot of heartache.

First time back in nearly twenty years! New owner has beautifully restored, gorgeous surroundings, great service, just popped in for drinks, but will be back for dinner soon! Lovely place 💕

My hubby and I had the most wonderful day getting married at this stunning venue! From prepping to actually getting married Fiona was incredible! Thank you to Mandy for the professionalism of the staff and the amazing job she’s done with this venue! I came here with my mum and aunts today for afternoon tea. It was beautiful and the young man that served us was friendly and extremely attentive to us. He is a credit to this hotel. Thankyou for looking after us.

Just had afternoon tea and it was amazing. The staff were excellent although they were very busy with a wedding. It’s an amazing setting and I would have no doubt about recommending the afternoon tea.

Wonderful setting and very beautiful inside and out. Great for weddings. Good sound system for ambient day music inside and out of the building. Beautiful and very clean bedrooms and corridors etc. Wouldn't recomend the top floor in the main building if you like to sleep in a cool room or are bringing your pooch as it is very warm in older buildings when in the roof space. I like cosey so I was fine, hubby was a bit uncomfortable as was our dog so lots of trips up n down to make sure he didn't overheat. Hubby's cooked breakfast was lovely. Our pancakes were however raw and wet and sticky in the middle but didnt want to cause a fuss as the whole bridal party and close guests had breakfast together. Would have liked fresh fruit/muesli options felt the buffet breakfast was a bit limited but I would still come back just maybe not have breakfast in the hotel as the evening meal and desert was amazing and def worth it. Excellent wedding venue.

We had an overnight stay here. The room was beautifully decorated, food was delicious and the staff were lovely and friendly, they couldn't do enough to make sure we had a nice relaxing stay. Everything about Enterkine was great from check in to check out. Thank you for making it such a great night away for us.

Just back from afternoon tea for my birthday, everything was great, fro the service, the food, the beautiful rooms, cannot recommend it enough.

Just left Enterkine Hotel, had a lovely overnight stay for my birthday. The room was beautiful and spotless. Staff were lovely and food was amazing. Would highly recommend.

Went for a meal on Hogmanay and it was delicious. The hotel and surroundings were beautiful. Mandy was very friendly and made us feel soo welcoming. Definitely be back.

Just back from the hotel, staff were lovely and friendly, food was a high 10/10, Eggs Royal amazing. The room was a bit tired, but clean and the comfiest bed ever! Would go back.

Lovely, comfortable, spotlessly clean hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay, amazingly helpful staff, even though they were very busy. Food & drinks were really good too. We will return.

Decided to have the night off cooking and treat ourselves to a takeaway from Enterkine. Food was delicious and we are still stuffed hours later as the potions are generous and fairly priced.

Just had a delicious takeaway Turkey with all the trimmings. Best takeaway and value for money I’ve had since lockdown, well done to Mandy and all your staff. I will definitely be ordering again.

Dine with Santa… nothing festive about this, least of all the spirit of the staff! No sign of Santa whilst eating, contrary to the name of the event. No games, coloring or festive entertainment whilst food was being served… would not recommend!

Have a re think of your Itison Afternoon tea selection.
Very small and limp sandwiches, scone was tasty but the cakes were very poor. An unattractive display on the cake stand.

Myself and a friend had lunch Friday. Absolutely beautiful meal, service was amazing and staff very friendly. Looking forward to coming back :)

The welcome on arrival, quality food and service which is of a very high standard, and the attitude of the staff to the customers which is a very pleasing aspect.

Fantastic venue. I was at a wedding last night and it was amazing. We were in the new pine barn and it is gorgeous. Well done Mandy and staff.

We attended a family wedding last weekend and stayed overnight. The new barn and hotel entrance are absolutely stunning! The whole day was lovely from start to finish, the food was fab and the staff were all lovely. Our large room was spotless and although the decor might not be to everyone’s taste, we loved the traditional feel of it! Breakfast was spot on too. We liked it so much we’re going to be booking up for Xmas!

Had my son’s 18th Birthday dinner at Enterkine the other night in the beautiful garden room which was perfect for our party. Meal was fabulous, staff were very friendly & attentive they made the night just perfect! Got a sneaky peak at the new wedding barn & wow! Absolutely stunning! What an amazing venue this is going to be. Super well done to a fabulous team at Enterkine & thanks again for a lovely evening.

My husband and I stayed here last weekend! What a gorgeous hotel! The food was absolutely amazing! So delicious, hot and presentation was stunning! The breakfast was possibly the best ever!
The owner Mandy very kindly gave us a sneak preview of the new wedding venue. Wow! If I was getting married again I would definitely choose here! Stunning oak beams and the views are absolutely stunning looking out the glass doors!

Just home from our fabulous wedding at Enterkine… an absolutely top class venue with our day perfect from the planning right through to the day after… the food was delicious, the staff all so lovely and nothing was a bother… we were able to just enjoy our day knowing the team at Enterkine had it all under control, especially Fiona, what a star! Thanks everyone, from the owners to the cleaners, you all do an amazing job and made our day simply perfect ❤️

Had a great 2 night stay, have to say the owner and her family and other staff are amazing so friendly, the chef must be amazing as really enjoyed the food, room was massive, not modern which I loved, building work getting for a wedding barn which looks like it will be amazing, will definitely be back.

Myself & my husband had our wedding at Enterkine on Saturday 22nd June… I can’t praise Enterkine & their staff highly enough! Especially Fiona who was outstanding whilst planning our wedding with us! Nothing was too big an ask, she went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect day! Not only that but the venue looked absolutely stunning on the day, just as I had imagined! Fiona and her team done an amazing job in organising our prom. The venue was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and eager to help on the night. Would highly recommend for any function!

My husband and I had our big day at Enterkine on Sunday the 28th of April and have to say it was perfect in every way. From start to finish nothing was too much from all staff who were there on the day, so many guests commented on how great the service was. Fiona was fab all the way through planning and on the day, making sure everything ran smoothly and nothing was too much trouble for her, always checking in that everything was OK and if we needed anything. We had the best day and would give anything to do it all over again, any future brides are so lucky to have their day to look forward to at Enterkine ❤️❤️

Had wonderful afternoon tea with family, delightful all round, staff were great with my 96 year old mother even have a stair lift to assist into restaurant. No complaints and beautiful setting!

Quality and staff brilliant. Had used a birthday gift card so can't comment on prices. For the high quality of food, service, and surroundings it must be expensive.

We really enjoyed our two nights at the hotel. The only thing was I couldn't get into the bath as there was nothing to hold on to, I am over 70 years all I could have was a good wash. Other than that it was perfect.

Beautiful house set back from every where so peaceful. Staff are welcoming and helpful very polite. The room was the best we've ever stayed in. Plenty off things to do around the area.

Great venue for weddings drinks expensive food great.

Had been for traditional afternoon tea some years ago and was wowed by everything. Decided to buy a Groupon voucher and take 3 friends. All had changed. Reception area seemed tiny and in need of refurbishment/paint/new desk. The restaurant smelled of fish. Whole place seemed in need of a freshen up. Corner table was nice with pleasant views. We were served afternoon tea on two large black wooden "mini shelving systems". From that moment on I could only see one of my three guests. Everything on this shelving system was tiny, including the 4 scones. I had to go and wait in reception for someone to ask if we could have anything to go with our dry scones as apparently no one had put cream and jam on our table. We were basically left to our own devices and had to go searching if we needed anything as when we wanted a refill if coffee. It was v busy with only three staff. It was impossible to catch the eye of the woman who appeared in charge. I was disappointed with the fillings of the miniscule " sandwiches". The whole experience was nothing like the experience of before and not what I expected. I would not recommend it. A woman on crutches struggled to climb the stairs and got through the front door only due to the help of my friend. There were no staff in the reception.

Lovely rural hotel, set within its own grounds. Very helpful staff and great food. Highly recommended for a visit/stay.

Food sublime (5 star), accommodation spacious but accommodation doesn't feel quite 4 star.

What a meal. Had the best meal I can ever remember having. Totally worth a visit. The view from the dinning room is exceptional and the room we stayed in was fabulous. Totally recommend a stress releasing break here.

My lovely daughter treated me to Afternoon Tea at Enterkine. It was fab, food, staff and surroundings. We have been before and would have no hesitation in recommending Enterkine House if you want good food, served by very attentive staff in very comfortable and beautiful surroundings.

If you enjoy fine dining and adventurous with food it's a great place to go, unfortunately if you need disabled parking there doesn't seem to be any, the walk from the overflow car park is steep, but still thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Attended Burns Supper in the Marquee. Service good. Presentation good.

Visiting Enterkine house for the breakfast with santa event. Absolutely wonderful. My little boy thoroughly enjoyed it, they thought of everything and the kids were so active and involved, even to knock on the door and see if santa was home after our visit we had breakfast rolls, everyone was catered for, I was even offered vegetarian sausages. Little one wasn't wanting too much and was offered a chocolate pastry, it didn't last long. There were crafts for the kids and the gifts from Santa were great, so age appropriate, a book and activity set. Definitely worth a visit. Very accomodating and amazing friendly staff throughout.

I was a July bride and have just realised I never made it on here to leave a review.
I could go on for hours but just wanted to say thanks to all the staff for making our day incredible. The service was fantastic. Particular thanks to Andrea our wonderful wedding planner who is an absolute star — couldn't do enough for us, always responded quickly, answered silly questions and was so calm on the day. Claire was also fantastic on the day and was a friendly face to go to for help — nothing was too much trouble. And there was Cameron our knight in shining armour for the weekend, he served us girls and our strange requests with a smile and was on hand, again with a smile for the full stay.
We heard about the sound issues through the grapevine and Andrea couldn't do enough to put us at ease, even with a personal phone call as soon as they had new information.
An amazing venue with the most stunning marquee and lovely, quirky grounds. Its not to everyones taste but we loved it. Thanks so much, we wish we could do it all over again!

Stayed here for an overnight, great food. Staff very welcoming and very attentive. We stayed in the oval room massive room and bathroom. Bit more old fashioned than what we are used to buy well worth the money. Would highly recommend will be returning again :) )

Overall the venue is not great, I was working at the venue for a wedding and the whole time I was feeling bad for the couple as there was no really nice places for the couple to get images. The floor and carpets were disgusting and looked like they had not been hovered in over a month. I felt that it was a dirty environment and made no effort for the wedding. The staff was also an issue… It felt like they didn't have any. Normal guests to the hotel tried to get someone at reception and waited 10mins then decided to leave the hotel. Overall the only niceish area is the marquee as it is a large area but uneven floors and around just not a nice area to work.

Visited Enterkine House Hotel recently for a family wedding and we had fantastic room, the food and service were great and we were made to feel welcome throughout our stay.

We had a lovely two day break here. The bathroom was as big as a bedroom and the oval bedroom as big as a ballroom — and beautifully furnished too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely stay there again when we are next in the area.

No 10 room in annex a disgrace in a 4-star hotel. Too small for 2 people. Tiny window with no outlook. Would make a good box-room. Got slight discount, but totally inadequate. Even a B&B would be superior. Never again.

Not as I expected The hotel was not as I expected it, on the basis of the comments I read on the website I used to reserve. Good position, the room was big and the price was low (I got a promotional price). And these are the positive aspects of my experience. The rest was negative. Old building and very low quality furniture (Lower than ikea's standard). Wifi connection unstable and often not working. Low quality breakfast, once I arrived a few minutes after breakfast they already closed the breakfast room. I suggest to look for other hotels in this area to stay.

Stayed here for my daughter's wedding and it couldn't have been more perfect. The location was fantastic, the rooms were of high quality and the staff were magnificent. I would heartily recommend Enterkine to anyone planning a wedding as the attention to detail was spot on.

Great place for a wedding food was great well run. Marquee was huge the only thing to let this place down was the main house could do with a fresh coat of paint on the outside. Gardens where lovely great for photo's.

Just had a weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary the place starts with an amazing drive up to the hotel, grounds are beautiful staff were lovely and we were in the Oval Room which was huge, building looks like it needs some work from outside but lovely inside. Hubby thought food was a bit ponsy and staff slow at breakfast time, there is no bar but staff service available and prices similar to bars at home and not as pricey as thought so pleasantly surprised. Visited Ayr and Culzean Castle which was recommended by staff and was amazing scenic coastal drive would definitely revisit here — thanks for a lovely weekend.

We had a 2 night mid week break here and was extremely delighted. The oval bedroom was lovely, spacious and decorated nicely. The breakfast was very good but the evening meal was exceptional, it was a delight to dine there. The young man who ran the restaurant was very helpful and professional. The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. It may be different at weekend as they do weddings but when we were there it was very peaceful. We would definitely go back. And stay there again.

My daughter, her friend and I had afternoon tea on Saturday. The selection of food was exceptional and served by very young staff who couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. The room was bright, airy and very comfortable and overlooked the well cared for garden. I would highly recommend a visit if you're looking for a very reasonably priced Afternoon Tea with a great selection of food items in very comfortable surroundings. The staff made a positive impact on our visit. We have already recommended your Hotel to our friends who intend to pay a visit following our comments. I would certainly recommend a visit to Enterkine House Hotel.

This was a xmas gift from our daughter. When we got there we were upgraded to the Enterkine view suite and it was amazing, the room was spotless and the outside balcony was almost as big as our living room. When we looked at the menu I have to admit we were not overly impressed but that changed when the food was brought out to us, it was absolutely delicious.
The staff can't do enough for you and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I attended with Carrick prom, overall the meal was awful and straight after I went for a McDonald's just to feed my hunger. The drinks were far to over priced and just an awful experience.

Attended a wedding at enterkine house, first time there. Our room was excellent the service from the staff was first class from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. No hesitation recommending this hotel.

Enterkine House have been kind enough to host our primary school's annual Burns's supper for the last three years in their spacious marquee. On both occasions I have attended, the venue had been smartly and tastefully presented, and more than capable of housing the one hundred-plus guests with room to spare. The quality of food was above average, with many people commenting afterwards how much they enjoyed the traditional fare. My only criticism would be the table service, which was slower than desirable. Otherwise, well deserving of my four stars.

Wonderful stay, the staff are polite and attentive and the food is to die for! Paul Moffat is a very talented chef!
