We were recommended here by the owners of the holiday home we were staying at, we wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing and the staff friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the food so much that we ate there a couple of times. Thoroughly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent & friendly staff, very knowledgeable about the menu, drinks & local info. It seemed like nothing was too much trouble for them. Amazing ambiance & atmosphere. The food was an outstanding display of local produce, cooked to perfection. Will definitely visit again.

A absolutely pleasure for us as a family and dog to visit for food and drinks. The food is absolutely amazing (Sunday roast was cooked to perfection) and the staff are so friendly and welcoming thank you to all the staff for a amazing sunday lunch.

First takeaway out of my local pub and we will definitely be back for more. Saved the day for my parents wedding anniversary dinner in which they were unable to go out for a meal. Great big portions, very tasty food selection and wonderful customer service from all staff members!

Phenomenal food and service.
What a wonderful place to find for our last night of our holiday to go for family time and food.
The pork belly, the muscles, the rack of lamb and the fish are all highly recommended

Our group of eight had about 12 different things off the menu. All were delicious! Phil and Pip have done a great job in only a few months to create a world class dining experience off the beaten path in Kilchrenan. Worth the drive down the one lane road!

Thanks to all the staff for making my son and daughter — in — laws wedding reception So wonderful. The staff are so friendly, the food is wonderful, also had two evening Meals before the reception on both occasions the food was outstanding. Many thanks highly recommended.

Dog attack. On the 4th of March 2018, my wife and I checked into Kilchrenan Inn with our then 8-month-old, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy, Charlie. Shortly after checking in we took Charlie out on his lead onto the hotel grounds as the drive had been long. We heard some nearby dogs barking, however we didn’t know exactly where they were as we were at the top of the embankment that the hotel is set into. No sooner had we noticed this, than two dogs ran from the direction of the adjacent house at the bottom of the embankment and were quickly on both my wife and Charlie, knocking them to the ground. One dog was a small Terrier and the other a large Staffordshire Bullmastiff. The Bullmastiff was on top of my wife when one of the owners pulled him off by his collar. Both myself and a chef from the nearby Kitchen – who had responded to the owner’s shouts for help – grabbed the Terrier, which by this point had locked its jaws around Charlie’s throat and was thrashing. We managed to pry the Terrier’s jaws open, however before managing to remove the Terrier it attacked Charlie’s leg. Once the terrier was finally removed there was significant damage to Charlie and of course we were very upset by the event. If we weren’t there then Charlie would have certainly been killed. I spoke with the owners and asked them to report the incident to the police. The owner was very reluctant to do so, eventually handing me his landline phone to let me make the call to the local constabulary.

We stopped in Taynuilt for the night before heading to Oban the followed morning to head to Mull and we found this wee gem online. We phoned and booked a table, our wee dog Canna was more than welcome, and the food was amazing with gorgeous red wine. Definitely a place to stop for delicious food!

Excellent meal tonight at the Kilchrenan Inn ~ our waitress Meghan was great and even though we were almost 30 min late… headed in wrong direction, they kept open for us and I'm so glad we did. Daily menu was excellent and we started with browned shrimp on toast — super yummy, then I had tge fish n chips LOVED the homemade tartar sauce with capers then husband had Shepherd's pie loads of flavor. He finished off with whisky and shortbread and I had Hazelnut Choc dessert that I could have licked the platter clean. Great service and meal! Highly recommend.

Great pub and restaurant. Worth visiting even though it is 7 miles down a single lane track (plenty of passing places). The restaurant serves evening meals from 6pm. There is a new menu daily. The food quality is excellent, very well cooked and presented. You need to order side dishes to accompany your main meal as things such as potatoes or chips are not included as standard.

Stayed in our motorhome overnight in the carpark and had dinner and drinks at the inn. The food was simply amazing — far beyond our expectations and definitely up there with the 2 Michelin starred restaurants we have visited in the last few weeks. I couldn't give this place enough praise if I tried.

The food was fantastic and the service was exemplary. Can't recommend this place highly enough. We will definitely be calling in again. Really friendly couple and staff and like I said top class food at very reasonable prices. Oh and the chef gave us a lift home.

Great place to stay in a newly updated modern rustic, warm and welcoming Inn. Stayed over 2 nights while on a camera course wth a local company Loch Visions. Owners and staff were great, food amazing and location was rural and the sites you see on your way there out this world… had to stop a few times to take it all in. Would recomend a visit and stay over anytime… its a newly started up business and going to be a local gem over its first season so get in first! … Donald & Pam.
