The owner and all the staff were very nice. Good pub food, local beers. The area is great for walks. The cooked breakfast was good but overpriced for the size.
One of the few traditional old fashioned hotels and pubs. Personal service. Delightful.

Really fantastic old country hotel, full of character. Great vibe about the place. Very friendly proprietors. Great food. Breakfast excellent, especially the bacon. Best bacon I've had in a long while. Excellent selection of whiskies and good ales. Lovely setting. Would have given 5 stars but the only drawbacks are to do with the age of the place and it's constraints eg no lift. Wouldn't swap that for a modern souless place though. When next in the area, will definitely return.
