Had lunch here and it was excellent The service was great Food was freshly made piping hot and delicious Nothing too much trouble Lovely views from the windows Just nice to have a coffee and with shortbread and fudge after our meal relax and chat No pressure There was a function on when we were there but there was no problem with being served promptly.

Good food and good value check out their ne w Boyed conservatory for tea or lunch great views.

Called in for coffee and scone it was delicious, reasonably priced and the staff were exceptionally pleasant and efficient.

Plesent small hotel and care home, I know it sounds mad but its a nice small and friendly place with a decent restaurant, perferct for a night or two.

New Boys Lounge for Snacks afternoon tea etc very pleasant and beautiful outlook over the coast.

Nice hotel — was quite while I was there. The room was tidy with a large TV & Sky, bathroom which was clean. I had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant, food was lovely and staff were very nice.

Not as good as it was in the past. Food is very mediocre and lacking variety. The steak was one of the poorest I have had in a long time. Service is OK, but nothing special, could be more attentive. Views are nice from the restaurant, but the decor is getting old and dated. Holes in the tablecloth shows the lack of attention to detail.

Excellent little restaurant with varied menus. Great view of Maidens Harbour and over the sea to North Ayrshire. Ample car parking and friendly atmosphere.

Very nice hotel … as will happen at this time of year hotels will be performing maintenance and alterations as was happening whilst we were there, however, not sure if the alterations are to offer more to the hotel or the Care Home? Remember this hotel is shared and at least 50% of the hotel are residents of the Care Home … We had a relatively ok deal although no bar in the hotel really does need to look at its prices … however it is in a great location for the golf course …

Restaurant is very nice and welcoming. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food is good and plenty of it at a reasonable cost.

Excellent service provided by the staff at this wonderful little hotel. Room was very spacious, modern & spotless. The quality of food & value for money is fantastic. I will return & would highly recommend it.

Above and beyond expectations, staff so friendly and accommodating. The room was fabulous with lovely sea view. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast could of been better but very happy to change around to suit. Will definitely stay again.

An absolutely shocking service in the restaurant. Met up with family who were staying in the hotel and the plan was to have afternoon tea. We went to the restaurant and were told we would only be able to eat at a tiny bar table which would normally only be suitable for glasses to rest. Behind us was an entire room of full size tables sitting empty.
We were informed that all these tables were booked for High Tea and couldn’t be used. It was quite obvious that where we were being forced to sit could not accommodate plates or tea cups.
We asked to speak to a manager who finally relented and allowed us to sit at a proper table but we were given an hour to finish up our food.
Food was okay and service average. Clearly we had put them out!
As directed we vacated the table on the hour and waited to see the expected and as described stamped of arrivals for afternoon tea. Perhaps a coach party?
Yip — as we left the hotel and peeped into the restaurant — it was almost empty. But they had put a couple at the table we had used to prove a point.
Some customer service skills wouldn’t go amiss and learn to be a little more accommodating!

Fantastic concert. Up to what has become the usual standard for this band.

My granddaughter and myself had a great stay over for one night, we had lunch which was lovely and booked in for dinner at night it was very nice also full plate tasted lovely. Our room was a twin very clean toilet very modern everything we needed even dressing gowns. We were checking out at 4.30am in morning as my granddaughter was working, on handing key in reception there were three bags made up for us with… Sandwiches, bananas crisp, biscuits, and juice, as we would not be there for breakfast very thoughtful Thank you for an enjoyable stay will be back again xx.

Quiet, clean and very good value. Had a good high tea and a very filling breakfast. Staff were very kind and helpful. Will go sgain.

Stayed here last night dinner and b&b greated by the lovely young lady at the desk everything explained shown to our room, spacious room big bed and a bath and shower room looked onto a great view dinner was excellent I had the spag bol the waitress gave us a seat right next to the window the view was awesome and breakfast was wonderful defo be back.

Food was amazing as was the decor and the wonderful and friendly staff. I came here for a birthday meal and when I telephoned to see if we could come along, it was very late in the evening and they were going to be closing the restaurant soon but they stayed open for us to have a beautiful meal and fabulous experience. Couldn't thank them enough. Would highly recommend this place.
