Enjoyed Easter lunch here today with our family, everything was excellent, from the lovely welcoming staff to the food, ambience perfect, lovely atmosphere, happy and friendly. Food delicious, highly recommended 🥰

Lovely meal and hospitality. Compliments to Jamie who really made our night, fab host. Room could have done with a little tlc but was clean and cosy. Defo be back.

Stayed here on Saturday night and have since sent 2 emails of complaint and have had no reply. Shocking customer service. Room was terrible and we paid a supplement for a suite. The room was a joke, a couch you couldn’t sit on, an old shower, no hot water from the bathroom tap, and no Wi-Fi! Breakfast was awful too. Hardly any hot food at all and what was there was disgusting. Undercooked sausages, wet and mushy scrambled egg and stone cold beans. do not book this hotel!

Lovely cosy, staff friendly and go out there way, room very nice upgraded to a suite. First time here.

1. On arrival receptionist very rude. No greeting just sat on her chair. No wine on arrival offered — itison deal — DBB with wine on “arrival”. 2. Room was absolutely ROASTING as bathroom radiator left on — could not get it off. 3. The glass table was covered in dust. 4. Sorted cases etc to come down to bar for a few drinks as no glasses in the room. 5. Bar staff too young & very very inexperienced. Calling each other Bro etc. Its not a playground. 6.3 times my fiancé returned a drink — juice very very flat — young chap scraping the heads of a pint WITH A STRAW! Young guy sat at the bar says pints in here are rotten. Found out later he actually worked there! 7. Drinks served in warm glasses. Ice melting instantly. 8. Table was very sticky with previously spilled drinks. Asked to clean — no one came near. 9. Had 3 drinks & left to go back to our room (18). 10. Table was booked at 7.45 for dinner. Granted we arrived 5 minutes late, we where asked to go & BUY a drink at the bar & have a seat as no tables available. Sat at some table and it’s still boggin! Blonde guy with hair in pony tail serving us. 11. We sat in bar for around 25 minutes to witness at least 4 more couples be seated. 12. My partner went to desk to see why this was happening to simply be told “I FORGOT ABOUT YOU” I’ll get you next. Wow. 13. Sat down at our table and was given the normal menu. Bearing in mind we had the DBB offer.

If you want to get food best phone and order a week before you want it. Staff are very inattentive and unapologetic.

Had a fantastic meal for my dad's 60th! Great food, great service and left happy! Thanks again! Will be back for sure.

This hotel has the most friendly staff, where nothing is any bother! The food is amazing with a good choice of meals! This hotel caters for families with children, elderly couples and anyone who is disabled!

My son took myself and his gran to here for dinner last night the food was amazing. For starters I had chicken tempura, fenwick King Kong burger and hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream big compliments to the young waiter that’s looked after us lovely young chap polite and well mannered chatting away my son also works in riverside lodge 👍🏻

Just had an absolutely Amazing Weekend, at The Fenwick Hotel. Second visit, and it did not disappoint. Room, Food, Staff, and Service, all excellent. Compliments to the Chef. Food was delicious, particularly enjoyed the puff pastry mushroom starter, which was luscious, and, as always, the fish and chips, which being one of my favourites, was top class. All Staff very attentive, hotel very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable, I have had the pleasure to sleep in. Pillows were amazing, and the crisp cotton sheets and pillowcases, were just a dream. From the moment we arrived, and were greeted by Reception Staff, we felt welcomed. Bar prices, for a Hotel, were very reasonable, and the bar areas are very clean and comfortable. I can highly recommend The Fenwick Hotel, and cannot wait for my next visit.

We have just had our wedding hear. Due to having to postpone it a few time new staff and time going by a few little hiccups before the big day but can't fault the staff who pulled the day rite out the bag and maid our special day amazing and kept the day going by flawlessly. The meal was amazing and just the right portion size and tasted amazing. The decor for the room of the wedding was grate bright sharp and the grounds are perfect for the photos would recommend definitely to any one thinking or looking for a venu for getting married.

Had a lovely overnight last night with friends. Food was great and staff very friendly. Unfortunately I can't do a TripAdvisor review as I done one a couple of weeks ago about our calls with staff when we had to change the booking. Staff were great and sympathetic with our situation. Will definitely get back soon for another break.

Was first time here for food tonight and was absolutely delicious, will definitely be back and hopefully be able to stay over next time. Staff were also very friendly.

Friendly staff in a hotel that is easy to get to and parking onsite. Rooms are well furnished and clean and great value for money. All. In all a happy place to spend a couple of days relaxing with plenty of places to visit within reasonable car drive. Have not tried the restaurant yet so can't comment at this time but menus looks great.

Service wasn't the Greatest got served our drinks and next thing got asked do we want to order drinks. Order meals 2came out waited 5mins on my husbands meal coming for them when they finally bring his meal out to take it back with mine as they mucked the order up so glad I told my son to start eating his rather than wait till we got ours as when we did get it he was about finished with it.

The food was not really as described the curry had no taste at all to it and the service was terrible the worst I have ever experienced what a complete let down for my daughters 21st.

Had the best night last night — food and drinks were amazing! As where the hotel staff. Above and beyond will be back for sure.

The service was very slow with loads of people complaining. The food was average but service was terrible, starter plates lay on table for 45 mins after we finished.

Good food lovley staff if anything would ask next time for fish to be more crispy but just a personal preference.

Just had Christmas dinner at the Fenwick hotel. 6 people all agreed the food was amazing. Service was fantastic. Worth every penny.

We stayed here for a few nights last month. The family room was very comfortable. The food and the service was first class. Mary was fabulous and extremely helpful. Beautiful hotel and we highly recommend.

Attended a wedding on Thursday 19th March. What a brilliant day. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food and the service were excellent, staff were cheery and eager to help. Rooms tastefully decorated and very clean.
I would thoroughly recommend The Fenwick Hotel to everyone and will return soon.

My husband and I were in for dinner tonight and the staff were so friendly and attentive, could not do enough for you and make us feel so welcome. Food was Amazing, we love to eat out alot but this has definitely put us in the tasting for more from the Fenwick as the chef definitely knows his stuff.

Never been disappointed, been many times. Great staff and great food.

Went for afternoon tea, very poor presentation no serving stands left so just on plates. 2 1/2 fingers sandwich each. Service very slow had to keep asking for our tea. I n had a scone with jam and clotted cream took 2 bites and realised the cream was off. I am going through chemotherapy so it very dangerous for me to eat something that’s off. I went to bathroom and was sick straight away hopefully I will be fine. We told staff on 2 occasions about the issues a sorry we are really busy, when we asked for our bill not as much as a discount on poor food, poor service will definitely not recommend or visit again. Absolute disgrace.

The decor is very nice, spacious ladies toilets. Great parking facilities and great food.

I’m so glad I chose the Fenwick Hotel for Christmas Dinner with my family! Excellent Service, excellent food, plenty of choices/varied menu (s), inviting ambience, warm and cosy, efficient and friendly staff, always willing to please and help. It was a Sunday when we visited, just before Christmas. The Carvery was available, which was amazing! Generous portions, excellent value, reasonably priced for what you get! The Meal was delicious, with lots of Traditional food as well as other options. The Manager and Reception were competent and helpful. This place has the art of getting things just right, in spite of it being very busy too! I can highly recommend, and we will be back for another visit. I’m very fussy and hard to please, but this Hotel impressed me. I loved the apple & Cinnamon crumble which arrived with ice cream “and” a tiny jug of custard! Dreamland on a plate! My main meal was tasty and 4 adults and 2 young kids were highly satisfied. The High Chair was provided for the little one. We had absolutely no issues, no need to prompt anyone, well trained staff were always around to help and monitor tables and guests coming and going. What a wonderful evening in a beautiful setting, with top service, food and everything you want from a good night out, dining. No waiting or hanging around either, between meals. Kids menu was good too. Drinks available, and I are too much! It was too good to leave! A great Hotel. I can’t thank them enough.

Today, I had arranged a birthday lunch for my work colleagues. Everyone on the menu was amazing. However I am veggie so I asked if I could have a dish from the menu but with quorn. The kitchen staff made sure that I could have the same meal but just made from quorn which is not normally on the menu. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had the same. Amazing service, amazing food. The best lunch I have had in a while 10/10!

Stayed over for a wedding on Saturday night, was disgusted we couldn't get any food for room service at 1am, then in morning few of us wanted a drink to be refused. Sent email and reply said party was abusive disgusted.

Just left a meeting there. Three hours in bitter cold room. Highlighted it twice to staff to no avail. Small heater was put in which made no difference, everyone felt cold and sat with jackets on
raised complaint at reception and told the manager is in Australia… least one of us was warm!

We had lunch yesterday and it was excellent, it was a pleasure having somewhere local that I could enjoy lunch and a glass of wine with my teenage daughter, civilised and very reasonable on tbe pocket. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

Friendly efficient staff fantastic food and relaxed atmosphere made my Mum's 90th Birthday celebrations very special.

We went to the Fenwick last night and once again the food, atmosphere and staff were all excellent. I have never experienced anything negative about the place. We eat here often and I couldn’t recommend the place high enough, if you choose to dine here or even pop in for a drink/cocktails you will certainly not be disappointed.

We love the Fenwick Hotel for the odd bar meal. Just a bit nicer than your usual pub grub and the staff are v helpful too.

Had been meaning to try The Fenwick hotel for food for some time, kept passing it all the time. Definitely will be back. Food was great, very good deals through the day and staff very friendly.

Just home from having dinner in the restaurant at the hotel and again it was delicious. The service, surroundings and the meal itself are by far the best in the area.

The Fenwick Hotel hosted our wedding dinner reception in July of this year. We originally started the process of booking towards the end of last year and liasoned with planner Karen who through various meetings over the months, numerous emails and phonecalls helped us to arrange the perfect meal. The hotel itself was lovely, we booked a private function room which the staff set up exactly as we required. They prepared the room using the decorations we provided, assembled and prepared our cake, served drinks on arrival and through the course of the night our hostess Jillian made sure everything we needed was provided. Quality of the food surpassed everyones expectations and no one left hungry. Service was quick and no one in attendance has made any negative comments. We were given the wedding suite for our overnight stay, a beautifully furnished room with four poster king size bed and fantastic en suite facilities. (The bathroom was amazing! ) Our only regret was how short our stay was. Overall I can't fault the service, the hotel, staff and even the price was a great surprise. We were even invited back for our first anniversary!

We stayed here yesterday… we had an afternoon tea with bed and breakfast. My father bought us this after staying here himself and recommending we try it. We certainly couldn't fault it.
The reception staff were very attentive and the room was beautiful & spotless. The bed was huge and comfortable. There was complimentary tea, coffe and hot chocolate along with tea-cakes and a bottle of water. Bathroom was spotless, couldn't find fault with anything.
The afternoon tea was …delicious. I had roast beef and horseradish sandwiches and my husband had cajun chicken. There was also scones with cream and a selection of small cakes. I don't like cream and asked the waiter for some jam which wasn't an issue. We also had a glass of prosecco along with our pot of tea.
We attended the reatuarant for dinner and again delicious… I had pate with toast and chutney followed by steak pie and chips (which I asked for as I dont like potatoes and again no issue) My husband had black pudding with poached egg followed by fiah and chips. Then… the lights went out!
We had a thunder storm and struck by lightning… but again it was handled with the professionalism shown throughout the day. Staff explained what was happening and lit candles, while some of us used our torch on our phones. We were still able to sit in the bar by candle/phone light, it was actually really nice. Again the staff kept us fully informed as to wbat was happening.

Been here twice now. Staff are very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Food is amazing, nice selection of drinks and wine. Very good breakfast. Rooms are perfect, Allthough I have only been in the same room twice, would highly recommend the bridal suit if it's avalible.

Lovely place good menu excellent service. Would highly recommend this place. It's just of the M8 motorway, plenty parking.

Food was excellent, hot and fresh. No-issue whatsoever on that front and good value for money. Service was good and no issues either. Sadly the toilets were dirty, some taps didn't work, some other aspects broken, and yet something so simple to fix. The area is run-over at time of this review by builders for a new housing estate who have parked in every disabled space. This made an 86 year olds trip hell despite her having a disabled badge. The builders begrudgingly moved when asked (after taking time to finish a cigarette and go to the toilet). These small things are part of the customer experience and hotel management should and could easily be addressing them.

Lovely lunch, very reasonable prices and child friendly.

Food was exceptional as usual. Portions are always huge. I could stand my spoon on end in the Cullen skink, or smoked haddock and clam chowder as they call it, such was the quantity of fish and potatoes! Fillet of beef pasta was sublime. Unbelievably they had the audacity to offer me the dessert menu! Like I had any room left for that. Great service and relaxed atmosphere makes this THE stand out dining experience in East Ayrshire. Bravo!

Stayed here for my 30th as it's where my girlfriend picked and was amazing, from the minute you walk in the place looks brilliant the service was fast at checking in and told all relevant information regarding where room was to the fire assembly point and restaurant information, we got up to the room and my girlfriend had got us a suite room which is out this world very big spacious and very upmarket, the room overlooked the car park way and motorway (Can be busy but can't here it much) the restaurant was good too, service was ok but it was busy but the food was amazing big portions and very tasty, the morning breakfast was great too just enough choice and everything you need I. E cereal and hot food, there's a wee local pub just up the road which is a nice walk up and back, overall I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future.

Lovely place for a meal, good food well presented. Well-appointed restaurant, pleasant staff. Only slight minus point is the cost, prices are a towards the high side of average. Still, well worth a visit.

Food was really good and walked in with no reservation at 4pm on a Sunday. We were fortunate to get a table as it was really busy. Would advise reservation if possible. Service was good and food arrived quickly. Kids portions were good too. Would definitely go back. Was a first time visit for us.

Been here the past 3 years for Christmas dinner with extended family and would definatly recommend it but this year was a bit of a let down they did not seem as organised as they normally are they didn't know where we were supposed to be sitting at first and the table didn't have a number and our name as it usually does and then it took ages to serve each course (longer than usual) and each course they had to be reminded of someone they missed serving. I hope this was not an example of what's to come and they were just having a bad night. Hope to be back next year but undecided at the moment.

Friendly staff, but noisy and the main meals were disappointing. We enjoyed the lentil soup, but the carvery meats were dry and the haddock seemed more batter than fish. We have had better meals here in the past.

Had dinner with my family here. First impressions — the lobby looked fancy, the dining area looked large and was quite busy at 7:45pm. I had a welldone streak, absolutely delicious and didn't have to wait long at all for the meal service. Drinks options were great, plenty to choose from, drinks tasted great. Staff were polite. I had the chocolate brownie for dessert, didn't have to wait to long for that either, it tasted so good! I would highly recommend you come here for dinner and order the steak! I would definetely go back.

Rooms are nice and neatly presented. Staff had a very quick turnaround as we were attending a wedding and taking up most of the rooms. The venue itself was fantastic. The breakfast was a great selection, the evening food was amazing and the wedding presentation was immaculate. Staff were always on hand to help and really polite. Great service all round.

We recently stayed at The Fenwick over 3 nights, and cannot recommend it enough! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been more attentive from the moment we arrived, until we left. They did everything possible to make our stay lovely, they even organised breakfast for my Brother and his family at 4am before they left for the airport! We had a fabulous meal in the Restaurant and breakfast was great.

Visited on quiet evening and got one of the lovely big booths. Nice attentive staff who weren't overbearing, excellent food and a well paced meal. Never felt rushed to leave at the end of the evening. Staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and gluten free options. Would definetly visit again — the steak pie was amazing!

A twee little hotel, with very good standards. Small touches made a difference with bottle of water, sweets and free Wi-Fi every day. Huge comfortable bed. Will need ear plugs if at road end of hotel. Standard of breakfast and evening meal were a very good standard too. Overall we would be happy to stay again.

This is an excellent hotel, the rooms are spacious, well equipped and very clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is excellent.

The staff were always present, friendly and helpful. I was in a party of forty and the two course meal was served quickly. There were five options for our party to choose from and there were only about four minutes from the first person served to the last person served. Very well done to the serving staff. The food itself was very good and generous portions. There was a wedding party somewhere else in the hotel, but that did not detract from the service provided to us. The premises itself was spotlessly clean and the toilets were also spotless. If I have one criticism, it is that the access road is inferior, being narrow and definitely not coach friendly. As a venue for your social outing, I commend it.

Visited the Fenwick as a guest for a wedding anniversary. They run a very smooth operation here from room setup to serving food and general service. Food was excellent and served in a timely manner to all guests. Can't comment on the rooms as only saw the function suite. Located 1 minute from Junction 8 of the M77 however the parking for the hotel isn't the strongest point for this location. On a whole I really would recommend this hotel.

Wedding and Birthday celebrations at Fenwick Hotel. Staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Wedding dinner, buffet tea and breakfast the following morning was faultless. The bedroom suite was clean and comfortable, would recommend the Fenwick any day.

The Hotel is in an ideal position with easy access to the M74. The hotel entrance gives a feeling of grandeur. The rooms are spacious, with fantastic large sized beds, spotlessly clean, with Tea/Coffee set available in room, large Digital TV. The hotel is quiet The restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisine, along with an excellent wine list. The Banquet facilities are ideal for all types of Functions. We spent the week-end at a Wedding in the Hotel. (Alan/John) 18th June. Room 13. The staff from the Reception Desk, Restaurant, Rooms, Banquet, Bar, were all great, happy, friendly, polite, accommodating individuals, who went the extra mile to ensure your comfort and needs were met. The General facilities were lovely, relaxing and the beautiful gardens, were to kill for. Great value. A very enjoyable Stay. Will certainly be recommending the hotel to friends. Great situation for "Royal Troon" Golf Course and the beautiful beaches at Irvine. Highly Recommend. Easy reach for Kilmarnock, Glasgow/Edinburgh. Keep up your High Standards.

Was at the Fenwick Hotel for LMS' 40th birthday. Great dinner, inviting staff and decent priced drinks.

Excellent service and good food. Not many restaurants around Ayrshire have good service these days, but the Fenwick does.

Went to party night on friday 13th dec what a great night best xmas night in years place and the staff serving us were first class will be back next year big thanks to fenwick hotel r brown.

I visited this hotel for lunch on Thursday 3rd Dec with my wife and friends, We started with chicken pakora. The chicken was stringy and tough, however we ploughed through it and left the worst of it. For mains two of us chose my favourite Steak Pie but found this to be an apology for steak pie. Meat was tender but drowned in an over salty gravy with the puff pastry crumbling to flakes when touched. The chips which accompanied the meal were hard in the middle suggesting undercooking. My wife left most of her meal uneaten. I did mention to a member of staff the poor quality of the food who said he would advise the chef. No further acknowledge of my complaint was mentioned and no apology was received. The bill total was £81.00. To which we added a 10% tip. Not good value for money on this occasion. Fortunately our friends had no complaints with their choice of main course. The waiting staff were most pleasant.

Went for a meal at the weekend. Food was very good, full of flavor and good sized portions. Staff were excellent as well. Would highly recommend.
