First time visiting today with a friend. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced, as were the drinks. There was a long wait for our food and sometimes our drinks, but we were told that on arrival and expected that with them being so busy. I loved the seating out the front but it could certainly do with some cushions to sit on! We were disappointed at some of the service. Two of the female servers/waitresses were lovely and made time to have a conversation with us. One of the ladies helped amend a mistake with a drink after it wasn’t resolved by a young waitress. However, we found some other staff, one male and a young girl, to be quite blunt and rude and said they were going to find something out for us/or sorting a mistake and never returned. I completely understand forgetting one thing but we experienced this three times… finding out whether they had ketchup, about finding out if they had a certain drink I asked about and when they said they would amend a drink which came not as ordered. We were very surprised and thought it was quite ridiculous to find out you had run out of not one but multiple condiments including ketchup, mayonnaise and vinegar. The only other down side was that the one toilet they had wasn’t clean at all and there wasn’t any toilet paper left, only hand drying paper.

Me and my partner went for a couple of drinks and some food, the staff were all trying their hardest to serve everyone in a very new way and were amazing.
It was so lovely to be able to get out of the house and see other faces.
The drinks were fairly quick and reasonably priced, the pink gin and lemonade was incredible!
We both had burgers that were lovely, and the most amazing chips I’ve had in a long time.
Well done to all involved, and we’ll be returning very soon 😊😊

It's a great dog friendly pub that has undergone a total refresh inside.
The same team are running the pub and hotel, the menu is widely varied and there's a favourite on it for everyone.
If you've not experienced The Oak yet, then pay a visit after the lockdown.

Absolutely excellent place to eat and drink… Great staff, great quality food and beer is well kept! Very friendly pub with a great atmosphere… Owners are very hands on and always have time to greet you!

A very good pub with adjoining rooms available. The table is very good. Small interesting detail the animals are accepted everywhere. There is also a nursery service for animals that allow their owners to dine quietly. There are often campers here because they seem accepted. A very good stop at interesting prices.

Really nice bar and really friendly staff, however my room window was screwed shut through the plastic trim, so there was no air in the room. They offered me a small fan to compensate for the heat but I had to fix it with a spoon before it was fully functional. The shower was a dribble and didn't leave me feeling clean for my interview the next day. It's a shame as the decor and vibe of the pub was really nice and there was a really friendly dog who sat with me while I caught up on work.

This pub has had many owners in its current form it is a smart Gaston feel with open plan space that is light and airy. It also has outside seating. Dogs are welcome in the bar area, but not the dining area. They sell sweets and dog treats. The unusual thing for me is the menu. Rather that being set out by type of dish they are listed under price, £6 £8 £10, £12 It's not easy to find specific dishes but it makes you explore the options. Service was waitress at table but was a little slow. Our party of 12 sat at 7:30 and finally are around 8:30. Food was excellent good sized portions and fresh and tasty. So it probably diserves a 4.5 stars I just marked it down on speed of service although to be fair for a reunion like that we were not in rush.

The food here is lovely, portion sizes are generous and it is great value for money for sure. However, the girl behind the bar was completely miserable showed zero interest in anything and was generally quite rude. We also waited an extremely long time for our food, it was a busy lunch time so you expect a certain level of a wait but it was verging on ridiculous! The establishment itself was nice inside, clean however we had my grandmother in a wheelchair and the tables were so tightly packed in it was almost impossible to maneuver her around the place and none of the staff had offered to assist so we found ourselves moving tables and chairs out of the way.

Me & my partner have been going regularly since we first met there over a year ago and I have never had a bad meal. Food is always good & staff very friendly. My favorite has to be their Lasagna, always piping hot & very tasty! and the price is very very reasonable too!

Just stopped for a drink. It was a lovely day so sat in the garden. Very safe for families with children. Dogs welcome.

A great pub for relaxing or meeting friends. The homemade pies are delicious. You won't want a pudding!

Great place to stay, lovely restaurant and pub on-site, with great food. Breakfast menu is huge and is well worth the money. Unfortunately water pressure in the morning was dire and often ran hot then extremely cold, bit of a shock, and the bed needed replacing, lathes fell out when we sat on it which was a bit disconcerting, bit wobbly.

Very quaint Hotel, attached pub with fast and polite service. The pub and the garden are really "dog friendly", met many caninei two days past here. Clean and spacious rooms, price hyperconvenient. (PS Dog of the owners very cute and never intrusive, a beautiful and very polite presence ❤ ️)

Hot and sunny day, very busy. They said one hour wait for food, we ordered and the meals arrived in the time given. Food was good 'pub grub'. Clean, tidy and the staff friendly and helpful.

Lovely weather to use the beer garden, food was nice, cheap and served very quickly. Had a great view of our friend who was having a flying lesson at the airport next door.

Good quality food for a very reasonable price! Nice atmosphere, too, with an open fire going. Service was a little slow but they didn't have many staff working.

Purchased a Lasagne which was basically a stodgy Cottage Pie with pasta. Half of it was cheese and no sauce, no flavour and appeared reheated. Now the calamari was quite clearly a farm foods frozen range with no taste. Also dogs galore and encouraged to sit at the table, next time I shall bring my cat. Serious dog hair in the pub also.

Lovely friend pet loving hotel, where good food is served, the rooms are comfortable and staff friendly. Have been three times now and love it.

Visited today. Sat with a drink and was going to eat but number of dogs put us off. The pub dog was stroked by a member of staff who then walked through the door handled by the serving staff. Serious doubts about hygiene. Dog hair noticable blowing across floor. Many children present. Lovely log fire. No guard. Wine and beer good but would not visit again due to the above.

A good pub with good inexpensive food. My first visit so can't say if the experience was representative but the staff were friendly. Only minor grumble was the bar was unmanned for a short period of time and needed something for my meal. But other than that no complaints.

Nice homely place with a lovely open fire. When we went we had to wait for a table as it was busy and plenty were reserved. Food is very good and very will priced. Nice big car park and very close to Coventry airport. Friendly staff.

Friendly atmosphere, excellent beer and good food. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and great value for money. Thoroughly recommended!

My favorite pub ever! With a great selection of pub snacks for all ages, a great menu (everything we tried we loved! ) Great breakfasts, awesome staff and they let dogs in! Just a great 3 nights staying in their sister accommodation The Dakota. We will certainly be back.

Regularly go to The Oak, it's a lovely place, great food, the staff are brilliant, especially Sharon! I would highly recommend.

Food was delicious, and the staff were friendly. I love th fact that they allow dog in. However we waited nearly half and hour for our puddings and then the wrong ones came, and then as soon as our plates were empty we were told they needed us to leave the table and as there was no where else to go we felt a little unwanted and left. However we do appreciate it was a very busy evening.

We go at least twice a week and haven't had a bad meal. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. The meals and drink are well priced. We like it that much we are going for our Christmas Day meal.

The Oak had been decorated beautifully. The food was well cooked and presented. Our dog was also able to dine with us, we need more dog friendly places.

Recommended by my niece, so thought we should try it. I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The staff were friendly, beer excellent and food was very good too. Safe to say we will visit again.

Lovely place, good atmosphere… Anna, Sharon, Karen and Sonia are brilliant! Always smiling no matter how busy, always want to look after the customers and make there experience as good as they can! Could definitely do with changes but definitely wouldn't change the staff!

Really nice place to eat. The chocolate and orange cake being the highlight for sure. The decor is lovely. The wait for food was excessive but we did go on fathers day which was busy. They are dog friendly which is a huge plus. Will definitely be going back.

Arrived late : No problem. Room clean & comfortable. Cold :I didn't turn heater on (my fault). Sleep : Good & quite. Breakfast : Nice, full English, had job to eat it all.

Absolutely love this place! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The old fashioned sweet shop and dog treats were a lovely touch. We stayed in room 2 for two nights over Crufts weekend. The rooms were beautifully decorated, spotless and well stocked with amenities. I have stayed in many places all over the world and the staff here were some of the most welcoming I have ever encountered! Thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend.

The waiting staff were great, the food was good, and the menu was good and the variety of food was nice. The actual physical menus were just printed on pieces of paper and came across a tad amateur and the wait for the food to arrive was over half an hour.

Room and facilities were brilliant. Clean and tidy, well presented and great value for money. Quiet location just outside Birmingham. The facilities accommodate guests and their pets which, when I stayed, was very unpleasant. A guests dog barked for around an hour in the early hours of the morning and another guest decided banging around at 1am was a great idea. Can't fault the hotel or their facilities but allowing pets has caused me to only rate 4 out of 5 stars.

Had a lovely meal at the oak tonight with a family if 12 the meals were freshly cooked from scratch and was piping hot when served sharon was our waitress and was one of the best waitresses I have ever came across x me and my family have been coming here for years and still many more to come x my favourite family resturant/pub.

Awful experience, ordered a pint of coke which was nowhere near full, I asked for it to be topped up and she said that it wasn't 'Coke Policy'. After refusing the drink I was threatened with a phone call to the police Food was really nice though!

Great homestyle food, always yummy and lots of choice.

Great food and nice interior decor, could have used extra staff, outside area looking a bit dilapidated. I had the lasagne which came out hot and well presented, with salad and garlic bread, very nice.

Good food and cheap prices. Nice friendly staff.

At 5pm on a Sunday, all out of Sunday dinners, with no signs or mention that this was the case, but the items we were able to order in the end were very enjoyable.

Nice pub with simple good food. Always nice to see porkscratchings and dog biscuits for sale at a bar.

7 of us altogether as a walk in they managed to fit us in and it's was a great meal very good prices and the staff are brilliant would recommend and will be coming back.

Great Staff, Great Atmosphere, Great Pub!

Visited for the 5th time, This time for an 80th Birthday celebration with 22 family and friends. Service and staff still as good as the first time we visited. Keep it OAK, hope to see you all in November.

Room was fantastic food good staff friendly.

Stayed here several times and found it very good with friendly staff and good food. The great breakfast is included in the price. Since the refurbishment of the bedrooms its even better.

Was a fantastic place to go. Meals were great and deals were perfect. Since decorating, seems to of lost its atmosphere. The wooden beams that stood out are now painted over. From being a regular to just few and far between. Shame the decor, though needing done I feel has taken away the great feel it had.

I had a great time, went with my fiance they had a live band on its was fantastic! Staff really friendly, and its a dog friendly zone.

They cancelled my booking last minute, which meant I was stuck in Coventry with no where to stay.

Very good pub. Friendly staff and a great menu. They haven't dissapointed yet.

Food OK, but the pub itself could do with a bit of an update.
