Arrived for Sunday Lunch with my husband at 4.30pm. It was over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and I had to prompt the waitress! Starter of Prawn Cocktail was tasty and fresh with plenty of Prawns. Main course’s arrived, my lamb was cooked beautifully and veggies 🥕 tasty. My husband’s Pork /Beef was over cooked sadly and both meals arrived lukewarm which was a real shame! Puddings both delicious 😋 Overall, we will definitely go back to see if our negatives were just a one off!

We’ve been a few times but was little disappointed with meal sunday, starts were lovely but main had roast chicken no yorkshire pudding when I asked waitress looked at me as if I was mad but its on the menu, still no yorkshire pudding and burger was little tasteless. Will go again hope its better.

Callum was our waiter and was superb. The best service I have had there as previously it had been average — he kept coming back and checking all was ok and did we need anything else.

Tea — couldn’t fault the food 😋 Sadly spoilt by the lack of service during the tea & having to go find a person for drinks & to get the bill to pay — as no one came to clear table or ask if we needed anything — or to bring the bill 😕
The girl who came to take our payment was lovely tho 👍🏻
Disappointing as it had been a much looked forward to afternoon treat for a friend’s birthday and we felt let down sadly — Especially as others seem to have had a lovely experience here 😞

Staff were lovely and really efficient. The food was really good, portions and quality.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Started off with a Pimms, very tasty and refreshing. No wait at all for the drinks. The food was served promptly and very delicious. The property, bar and gardens are very well maintained, and elegantly decorated. The whole experience was very pleasant and the place has a great atmosphere. We were also surprised with the price, as it is not expensive at all. Highly recommended, and will be visiting again in the near future. Thank you to all the staff for making the experience so pleasant.

Perfect afternoon. A relaxing ambience and atmosphere. Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff. With every precaution taken to keep visitors and staff safe from COVID. Such a shame lock down again in 3 days when so much effort has been made. We'll be back when allowed.

Very peaceful place set in beautiful grounds, the mill wheel is fantastic. Good food and nice staff!

Spent a wonderful weekend here with my family celebrating my eightieth. Knew staff from a previous visit and therefore knew that I could rely on them “ producing the goods “ Food was excellent as was the friendly service. Thank you once again to Simon and Agnes.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Perhaps a little under staffed in busy moments, otherwise a great place to stay.

Excellent hotel with superb original mill features left all over the building.

Lovely Old Mill with bags of history and heritage. Due to the age of the building the rooms vary in size and decor but that just adds to the character of the place, I have stayed here several times and each room has been different but each time I couldn't have asked for more. Beautiful building, Mill pond and grounds. The food is great and staff are friendly and very pleasent. Great stay again, see you next year (Quattro Rail Guys)

Excellent Sunday Lunch once again.

Nice costume servis. Even got an adapter for my charger. They offered to bring my bag upp to the room and everything. The food was good, breakfast and dinner. The only thing that was not optimal was the heat in the shower. A bit cold for my taste, but I did not complain so they could maybe do something about it.

I came here on a business trip with a colleague, for one night. Because we felt so at home we booked for another two weeks. The food was lovely and so was the owners. We where half an hour late for food but they fitted us in. Lovely place and spotless.

OK if you like old world charm. Restaurant is very good.

My favorite hotel. facility is not as good as 5 star hotel, but surroundings and food and service is excellent.
