Everything! Lovely food lovely fire and an altogether lovely welcoming place! Love it!

A huge thank you to all staff today for a lovely meal and especially for ensuring the food ordering process for my daughter was completely stress free. She has an eating disorder and ordered 3 plain yorkshire puddings, This is the first place we have eaten where her order was taken and she was treated equally without even so much as a raised eyebrow. I would recommend taking anyone with Autism/AS/ARFID to visit this restaurant — dog friendly, child friendly, and all local produce. Thank you x.

We have just celebrated our 40th Anniversary with 29 family and friends at the Fritton Arms and cannot give it enough praise. The food was fantastic, all special dietary requirements were available, we were all served at the same time, the staff were lovely and Will, the Manager, did an excellent job as quizmaster for a 1970s quiz.
My Wife and I stayed the night in a lovely room and had a great breakfast before heading home.

Not stayed there but have eaten there and spent time relaxing awaiting a tow truck. Very yummy food and very nice people.

We stayed at the Fritton Arms for two nights, filling all the rooms with our wedding party guests, we had a gathering the Friday and the wedding at Somerleyton Hall on the Saturday. Emma was so welcoming and friendly, she went above and beyond for us and all our guests, as well as Josh, who took care of us all so well, making sure we were all happy. We couldn’t have had such a perfect weekend without you, thank you so much Mr & Mrs Warr x.

We went here for a 40th and 80th birthday. The food was amazing like Michelin star. So beautifully presented and the flavours were inspiring. The decor in the restaurant was beautiful. Such great colours and comfortable chairs. Great service too.

Super staff-so friendly and welcoming. Food was exceptional. Wonderful surroundings, would definitely recommend. Super Dog friendly too!

Just had an amazing 3 course lunch. Chef did and outstanding job with all of the courses, good wine, excellent staff, will, Tori and grace couldn't do enough for us …

Popped in for a drink and were greeted by very friendly staff…
We’re torn between just a drink or staying for a meal.
The menu was good however I wasn’t sure what to select… the staff were incredibly accommodating in offering what “we fancied” and spoke to chef who designed our meals around our requests. Very impressive.

Food very nice. Staff excellent. Room adequate but lovely and big. Very relaxing.

Staff were friendly & polite — but we went there to eat and the food was poor. Fish was tasteless & chips were overcooked. Lamb was good, but accompanying vegetables not cooked properly and a bit pretentious. All sauces have to be asked for and salad cream is not available even if you wanted it, clearly too low for this establishment. Would not go again or recommend to anyone.

Disappointing overpriced meal which we had on the basis of using the pool. Nothing on the website about having to book. Lady at kiosk even said we could pay to use the pool. Because we had to pay with a card we were turned away at the desk. 3 upset kids. Shambolic.

This picture of the pool ok the website is very deceiving. It's made to look much bigger than the actual thing. Me and the children had a lovely time however all is not what it seems! The prices have gone up for the boats to £15 even though nothing appears to have changed since the last time we used them. They haven't been updated etc. However the price has doubled. My children spent around 15 mins in the pool. It was too crammed. I paid £15 for entry to use the park, and pool. Nothing has changed to the resort. I can't post a picture on here of the actual size. I feel it was a waste of money.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable one night stay with dinner. The room was large, comfortable and quiet. We went for a walk around the beautiful grounds and then had an enjoyable pint in the garden. A welcome G&T in the bar before being taken to our table for a really good meal coupled with an excellent Picpoul de Pinet. The staff were friendly and the service was good — they were good with children and dogs as well. A couple of minor points: a room safe would be handy; the wine list would benefit from a Provence rose. Otherwise, we were glad to have found this good value venue.

A beautiful setting with a great play area for the kids to let off steam before having a swim in the pool. Only gripe is the food… Well the lack of it. After initially looking under the crockery to find where the rest of it must be hidden, I started to think it was some cruel prank by the staff. Know inflation has hit the country hard but £3 for a bowl of 8 chips!, now I know I had the odd drink but surely that would make me see double the amount if paralytic? And the price of a drink! Well a remortgage and loan later I managed to have a liquid refreshment to stop me turning to dust like Dracula in this searing heat. Although I'm now bankrupt and roaming the streets, not even a cardboard box to call my home I would like to say well done guys on a nice setting and a pleasant day spent with the children. Look forward to hopefully winning the lottery and be back soon.

‘Not unreasonable to charge £5 per person’ for a quick play after a £150+ meal. Will not return — not sure who would. The mind boggles that this is seen as value for money — we’ll let you sit and eat where your children can see a play area. We’ll over charge you for mediocre food and then we’ll try to get more money out of you. Let’s see how long business lasts when you treat locals/ customers as if they’re lucky to pay you money.

Their website calls it a lakeside pub, unfortunately the current owners have stopped any public access and now charge £5 for a wristband to be able to wonder down to Fritton Lake. Pub food and pub garden are nice tho.

After spending £150.00 on breakfast where the poached eggs were more like boiled eggs we sat outside to finish our coffees. The children wanted to play on the play area while waiting and were told it was £5.00 per person entry. As most of our children were little ones they had to be accompanied by adults who also have to pay. They wanted to charge us a further £60 for half an hour on the play park. There are no signs anywhere in the restaurant or outside so we had some very disappointed children on our hands.

Very happy to have stayed here and would come again. Staff are friendly and the grounds are huuuuge, a bit like our bathroom was. Top tip: if you park under the trees you're parking under the pigeons too.

Food excellent, great venue & a very attentive Hotel Manager. Sea bass was beautifully cooked and presented.

Lovely hotel in a pretty location. The food is very nice, not cheap but for a special occasion it's very nice.

Very peaceful place to come for a morning coffee on a sunny day. We had a latte and a tea. Both were tasty. We sat in the garden where you can see the birds in their nests and birds of prey overhead. It would be even better if there were a slightly better range of cakes. We had a brownie which tasted good however.

We loved this pub and enjoyed a drink out on the terrace and the children loved the fantastic play area (they would have stayed there all day as plenty of things to do especially the zip wire and bouncy cushions) we were then able to have a lovely walk around the stunning lake. Highly recommend and we will certainly return soon.

FAMILY FRIENDLY: Delicious food, excellent service. I had the local fish and triple cooked chips and a pint of Aspalls. Food came on time, with a smile and great service. Waitress couldn't be more helpful with regards to our toddler and our friends' baby. They even engaged with them and treated our toddler like a member of our party. Highly recommended!

I don't know where to start. Unbelievably friendly. Food is great and very tasty and well presented. Staff and chefs just fantastic. We came from near bath and called to ask if we can land a helicopter. Very promptly Adam called us and was very friendly and helpful. We got permission to land had a great lunch. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

Charming old world pub and hotel. Good food sourced locally from surrounding estate, if a little pricey.

Great friendly and helpful staff with lovely surroundings. The food was lovely and not a fault In sight. Would recommend having the chilli poached plumbs for dessert.

Stayed two nights, super comfy. Lovely grounds, lake walk and playground. Solid breakfast, and hearty suppers in front of open fires in a cozy bar. Must return.

Lovely place to stay. We were in room two, it was very comfortable and spacious room with a great bath. Towels, bathrobes, cowshed toiletries, TV and tea/coffee, and a decent welcome pack with the needed info and local activities in. Breakfast and dinner were lovely and the bar well stocked for chatting into the night in the cosy atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Great food, great place… bit pricey.

Service and drinks very good, but my fish and chips tasted like the oil was old. Front of building could do with a lick of paint.

It was a Friday night and we had to leave at 11pm when a group of 9 of us had randomly wandered in. Lovely pub though. Lodges near by were very nice.

4 in a bed got it wrong never stayed in the accommodation at Fritton Arms Ben & Shaun are doing a great job & I live in the north east so I am not a local. Go team Fritton GOOD LUCK FOR THE FUTURE xxxxx.

Me and my new wife stayed at Fitton House late this June. We usually have a great time but particularly this visit we thought the service was exceptional. We were late down for breakfast one day and the chef was very accommodating in providing a fantastic cooked breakfast. The rooms are also superb and are becoming even better furnished. One of our main highlights was getting such a warm welcome and a good few chats with Cathy the trainee manager who was holding the fort at the time. We will going back at our first opportunity and can't recommend it highly enough. A great place to create memories! Dickon and Anna.
