A very welcoming bar, we not long moved to the area and found a bar that’s suits our needs. Come on people of Needham Market make a local pub for local people.

Lovely bar, great service and friendly. Well, done to the new owners.

This is a lovely old hotel under new ownership. Rooms have been refurbished simply but well. The hotel has a splendid bar and a function room which with some TLC would make a marvellous venue for weddings. A great full English breakfast was delicious and the buffet served to us yesterday was very good. Needham Market is a quaint lovely old place and well worth a visit.

food was delicious, absolute no faults to it,
the front room needs a new layout, maybe removing a table to make it feel more spacious and less cramped.
but overall lovely place to eat and drink.

Great little hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious, staff are very accommodating. Breakfast is cooked to order and always high quality and enough. Don't let bad reviews from the previous owners put you off.

Excellent food very willing to accommodate smaller meals due to not being able to eat a large amount with my stomach problems.

Been to a disco night really good shame about toilets in function room very shabby.

We turned up hungry on a very snowy cold evening and received the warmest of welcomes. Great food for four of us, including vegan and veggie choices — although I had a perfectly cooked steak. Two of us also chose yummy desserts to follow mains, from the wide selection. Friendly helpful and swift service. Also please note — they were very accommodating in producing a Slimming World compliant meal when asked, with no fuss at all. Will return.

We used the Limes for a committee meeting, we had pre booked a room. Coffee was provided so we could help ourselves. The room more than adequate. We placed our order for lunch. Meeting went ahead and lunch arrived. Very nice and good value. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

The Limes has really been turned around by the new owners with improved rooms and decent food now available. Good selection of drinks and occasional functions. Recommended.

Love this Hotel. Full of character. Rooms lovely and food good. Guys who run it, Jane and Rob are really friendly and very accommadating.

Friendly Staff with a lot of money been spent on refurbishment making for a pleasant evening with very good food.

Our work party went her after an unpleasant evening else where. We were made so welcome by all the staff and even the chef made us all something to eat even though it was quite late. Food was really lovely. Hope it all works out for them.

Love this hotel had my 50th birthday party here great place.

Turned up today, 23 May, to find place all locked up. Locals confirm that the hotel has closed. Looks very run down anyway. No indication that it would not be honouring our booking.

Attended for the Wake of a passed away relative. The staff were very accommodating, the food was very good and the room provided fit our needs perfectly.

A very nice selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls and small tartlets, Chocolate brownies, blondies, macaroons and a lemony concoction in a shot glass, possibly posset, Scone, clotted cream and jam. Tea. We had the dining room all to ourselves and spent almost 4 hours nibbling our way through the goodies and chatting. Well worth it. Staff attentive but did not hover. Thank you.

Cute hotel, really nice staff, and rooms are lovely. Did have one issue in that their boiler stopped working so had to wait before I could have a shower, but that aside, great place.

Well where do I start! Terrible service, waited at the bar for about 25 minutes to be told there was no coffee or ice and my Uncle ordered in front of me 2 soups and 2 coffees and waited for about 30 — 40 minutes to receive it!
Only 2 staff on, when it was a busy day for the market. No tables were cleared. Then I was told by the manager there was coffee and ice! The manager blamed people for not wanting to work in Needham as it would mess up their benefits! I suggest you advertise at local agencies who would be interested in the hours and shifts. I definitely will not be returning anytime soon.

Had afternoon tea booked here for today — a gift from a friend. Absolutely awful. Place looked like it was falling to pieces. Very shabby and unloved. Spent ages finding someone who could even acknowledge us. When we did we were greeted with 'we haven't got any coffee! ' We're told to go and wait in a small room and someone would come and see to us. I think they forgot us. We walked out after getting no joy. Only saw two members of staff on duty who looked like they were rushed off their feet and not entirely sure what they should be doing. A wasted trip for us. No afternoon tea — a waste of money on my friend's part. Will be writing a formal complaint as gift runs out in next couple of weeks and I can't see us rescheduling it.

Most friendliest of staff, can't be helpful enough, nothing too much trouble, even the chef came out to see how my dog liked his eggs. Will definitely recommend.

Spent Two very comfortable nights here. Very pleasant and helpful staff, rooms so comfortable, bright and airy, food very tasty and more than substantial for breakfast and dinner, A very enjoyable and interesting Suffolk Market town. Would visit again.

Poor service, hotel looking shabby and tired. Drinks overpriced.

Terrible! Stayed there for 3 nights and barely slept due to the fact there is a church over the road and they feel the need to ring the bells every 15 minutes! Even through the night! Our room smelt of damp and I have bites all over my body from which I can only assume are from bed bugs! Will never stay here again! Breakfast was nice though!

It was one of the worst experiences of many of the hotels or guesthouses I have stayed in and it was called A Luxury Room! underneath duvet was grubby! Pillows were lumps of foam inside. The breakfast was a non event. They are now taking Wedding receptions I was directly above the DRUMS that were playing it was on until midnight I was told the same day. I'd had a long journey before from Spain I was booked for 4nights well over priced! I will never go there again.

Lovely refurbished rooms and attentive caring staff, my favorite place to eat and say in suffolk.

Always have a good time in the Limes.

Excellent food; lovely beer and staff were very good! Better than down the road at The Lion (terrible place).
