Fabulous place. Great staff especially Tom the barman. Lovely food. Just perfect.

Great pub, inside and out. Lovely outdoor space with child friendly play tree, lots of tables (but no umbrellas which isn't great on sunny days), old railway carriage which is a lovely cool retreat, and one covered area outside too. Nice attentive staff. Really great tasting food. Only gripe is the small amount of food for our vegetarian meal of £14 each. Seems meat eaters always get a better deal. Again the food was incredible just not enough!

Food very good, had a meal with 4 friends, starters very tasty squid and crab. Followed by mains of 3 x sirloin steak and one cod. Everyone enjoyed the meal. We were not rushed but attended well, had plenty of drinks and a 3 course meal. You won't be disappointed, u need to book becuase it gets very busy. Good choice of starters and mains from two menus.

Just stayed at this idyllic Inn and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Inn has been refurbished beautifully and the rooms were lovely. The staff were all so accommodating especially Jack and Fred. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. Food was really scrummy and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again.

Clean and welcoming. Good choices of ales, lager and cider. Vast selection of gins. I've eaten there a few times and have been very happy with the service and quality. The rooms are comfy… I slept like a log on the excellent mattress… they are clean and well stocked with the essentials. Thoroughly recommended.

Walk in booking for Sunday Roast. Staff seated us straight away. We ordered and service was swift. I went for the pulled pork with crackling. Everything was cooked well and of good temperature on arrival with a nice selection of veg. My only disappointment was the crackling as it was stripped and deep fried not oven baked leaving it pale and curled, more of a pork scratching than crackling. No one came after served to check on us either these two points are the only reason for the 4* rating.

We had our wedding reception here and couldn't have asked for a better day. The owners made sure all of our needs were met and we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food here is also amazing and the guest rooms are beautiful. A work colleague of mine won't stay anywhere else! There is a really nice outdoor seating area and beer garden which is great for the kids and they have a gin wall behind the bar which is great for the grownups!

A nice pub with friendly service and great food. We are there as guests at a wedding reception and would definitely recommend the place.

A little bit out of the way after a long drive, but a great welcome to a very popular pub. Rooms are of a standard most hotels would find hard to beat. Staff young but know how to add a bit of extra fizz. Food can't be faulted if a bit pricey, breakfast brill. What more do you want. Go before prices go up. Oh forgot has two sister pubs. 9/10

Food was fantastic, especially the venison main and sticky toffee pudding. Let down however by the service — disinterested waitress we had to chase, not great considering the reputation this place has.

Fantastic place. Extremely courteous hosts. Kate, Dan and their team Phillip, Tom, Fred and the kitchen team made our stay memorable. We had the rare opportunity to see them organize fete. Lovely English B&B.

Good range of high end drinks, fashionable decor and great outside seating area. Not the cheapest for a village pub, however the drinks on offer are of good quality.

We received a warm welcome from the staff who sat us promptly and we're very helpful. Lots of lovely gins to try and nice beer on tap. Lovely atmosphere and function room. Clean tidy and up market. Unfortunately the food was not as nice as we had liked. The salt and pepper squid had zero flavour and my burger was kind of small but it was homemade and full of meat. The food let it down slightly but the service regained the good opinion. All in all would I return. Yes! Just hope the food is better next time.
