Lovely place to stay in the centre of Woodstock, close to Blenheim. Quiet cosy rooms & helpful staff. But don’t leave anything behind by mistake as their lost property procedures leave a lot to be desired!

Delicious fresh food, great service and always a smile from the staff. Love this place.

Great food and excellent atmosphere. Fantastic place to go especially on a wet and windy day.

Rock hard poached eggs, however we still enjoyed our breakfast especially as it was only £5. Couldn't fault the service.

The rooms were very lovely and rustic with that "new" feel to it. It had a lot of charm and the breakfast in the morning was brilliant. Parking was a slight issue as it isn't provided and there is limited long stay but other than that we had a really lovely time and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

This is a very hospitable venue nothing is too much trouble.

Went to the restaurant for a quick lunch. Very cosy, comfortable place, with super friendly and helpful staff that makes you feel welcome. Standard British food, such as English breakfast, afternoon teas, soups, sandwiches, etc. All was prepared fresh and tasty. I would go there again.

Came with friends for a Saturday night stay over. Visited Blenheim Palace both days. Stay at the Blenheim Buttery was perfect. Comfortable spacious rooms ovelooking the high street. Bed comfortable. Home cooked breakfast was excellent. We ate out at Brothertons Brasserie where the Spanish born Italian host was very entertaining. Meal was lovely. Would highly recommend a stay in Woodstock. Plenty of pubs and places to eat in this tradional olde englande village. Wonderful!

We found this lovely little place by chance. We are so glad that we did. The staff were lovely. The rooms very clean & cosy. Breakfast which was very nice was served in the tea rooms. We’d definitely recommend Blenheim Buttery.

Oh we go here quite often. Clean friendly staff good snacks, lighter meals and range of home made cakes. Also is a B&B. Price is average.

Had a quick lunch the Buttery and really enjoyed it. A lovey original Cotswold stone Inn with a great traditional interior. The staff were really welcoming and attentive. The food was good for a light lunch, but potentially a little bit pricey. However, that's what you expect at a Cafe in Woodstock!

A nice place bar 1 thing. Spiders. If you are an arachnophobe like me I wouldn't recommend whatsoever for obvious reasons-quite large spiders were present in very obvious locations which does suggest to me that the cleaning is not stringent and of good quality.

Just been to Blenheim for a concert and thought we would stay over, we are so glad we did it was a lovely place the staff were all so helpful and friendly especially Yvonne and Simone. Great food and very comfortable clean room. Would recommend a stay here.

It's a simple little Cafe, does its job. Staff are friendly enough, food is good and priced well. It could do with a vegetarian options for the full English breakfast.

My fiancé and I have just had a gorgeous stay here. The welcome we got from all the staff and especially from Yvonne here was unforgettable. The rooms are very comfortable and the food very tasty.
This quaint tea room and B&b is just like a home from home.
The village is full of lovely bars and restaurants and the walks and grounds of the castle boast the most beautiful views of this gorgeous historic village.
We cannot recommend this lovely guest house and village enough.

We absolutely love this place and the service is top notch. They treat you like family, not like guests. They take time to get to know you and really make you feel at home. The rooms are quite nice and very comfortable and the breakfast and afternoon tea are outstanding and very well priced. If I could give them more stars I would.

We were asked to buy another drink or leave, the cafe was empty, we had only been there an hour and were just about to order food. We left immediately as felt offended. If there had been a queue for tables then we could have understood, but the rudeness was not necessary. We will not return to The Buttery.

Stayed for three nights, the service has been awesome, super quiet, super clean and definitely recommend it.

We have been the Blenheim Buttery twice. Once we stopped in very late in the afternoon on a weekday for a cream tea and it was perfectly acceptable. However on 2013-01-13 after a nice long Sunday walk around the Blenheim Palace estate we stopped here for lunch and it was terrible. The special that I had was Slow-cooked beef in red wine with chestnut mushrooms served with tagliatelle. The pasta was barely cooked — — I don't mind al dente but this was seriously crunchy and uncooked. The slow cooked beef was ok and well-flavoured but room temperature! Added to that the portion was quite small as well for £12. When they asked if everything was ok, I pointed out that lots of the pasta was uncooked, so much that I could snap it, all they said was that they didn't know how it could happen and were sorry. They still made me pay £12 for the dish and didn't seem too concerned. Another thing worth commenting on was the speed of service. I happened to take note of the precise time we entered (timing our walk) and it took 18 minutes before they even deigned to take our order. I understand that it was the lunchtime rush, but this is in mid-January. Off season! I can't imagine how slow this place will be during the lunchtime rush during the main tourist season! I'm sure it is a fine place for late afternoon tea but not on a busy day, and I will never ever eat a main meal here again.
