My friend and I had dinner at the World's End Pub last night. I can't recommend them highly enough! The food was outstanding and the staff were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere too. The price was also good for the food we had. Really great quality. I will be returning very soon.

Really great meal, excellent service and surroundings, well worth the money. Staff go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and carry out any requirements… recommended 100%

Delicious food and fab service! First time I have been since before March 2020 and it is just as good. Food was great quality and piping hot and the staff went out of their way to provide excellent service. Thank you, look forward to visiting again!

We had our Golden wedding Anniversary dinner here for 11 guests. It was outstanding the food was lovely and all our guests had a wonderful night. Perfect way to make more memories. Would recommend the Worlds End.

What a lovely venue to celebrate a 50th Birthday. The waitress Sian was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was excellent. Would recommend to our friends and look forward to returning very soon.

Received a warm and friendly welcome from young lady on reception. Room spacious with comfortable bed. Lovely Full English breakfast. Ample parking. Overall a very pleasant stay — would stay again.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had steak and it was perfectly cooked. We'll definitely go back. Prices are a bit on the high side so might not have steaks every time but there were reasonable alternatives on the menu and also many vegetarian options.

Absolute shambles of a restaurant! Went for nieces birthday meal with 10 people they only had the Sunday lunch menu on so not a great choice especially for vegetaians or kids but we all ordered staff not particularly impressive on ordering starter was nice calamari and spaghetti for little one was OK (she ate it) really looking forward to the sirloin roast beef (next) when it came two hours later small slices of beef 1burnt Yorkshire pudding 3 small inedible potatoes and a carrot, served by a sweaty boy with no customer service training! Others complained their meat was fatty the Yorkshire puddings where horrendous while we tried to eat as by now starving they forgot 1 BOWL OF PASTA! For vegetarian and had to be reminded so she ate hers after we all finished and by that time was past hungry! Was so disappointed we all pretty much gave up and waited for the pudding which was also very poor! This is a great disappointment and ruined our evening as left hungry and 200 pounds lighter, disgraceful! needs better trained staff and chef. Will not be returning for dinner ever!

A lovely welcoming place, friendly staff, food was outstanding, a first time visit for me, we took my mother there for her birthday meal, thoroughly enjoyed it and was made all the more special by the staff regaling her with the happy birthday chorus which made her feel more special. Would definitely come again should the opportunity arise, given that I don’t live in the area.

Good old English pub with very good food, drinks and service. Ample free car parking space. Open playground for kids.

Very poor gluten free choice I was asked to bring my own gravy for Christmas lunch, and the gluten free pudding was the general one with cookie removed and not replaced with anything else! We placed order via e-mail in advance but the staff still didn't bother… no wonder the pub was nearly empty…

We booked as a party of 15. We were initially surprised by how empty the restaurant was given that it was Saturday 23rd December. The food was reasonable although the staff came across as kurt and almost irritated by the inconvenience of customers. We were horrified when we were given 15 mins notice to vacate the premises at 22.45 as they wished to close and then instructed at 23.00 to leave the premises. Unfortunately the attitude of the staff made the experience thoroughly unpleasant and we won’t be returning. When one of our party voiced our dissatisfaction they were subject to profanity from the “manager”. Very disappointing. This used to be a great venue.

Excellent setting, service and food yet again, looking forward to our next visit.

I had the chicken "bon bons" to start. I'm sure the chef would be mortified at my saying this but they were just sort of posh chicken nuggets. Only got 2 so not a lot (although it was only £16 for a three course meal) but the sweetcorn salsa included was delicious. Main was pan fried sea bream with chorizo risotto. Sea bream was perfectly cooked, but the risotto was slightly overcooked (stodgy) and needed a decent helping of salt. Dessert was a white chocolate and raspberry slice. They were kind enough to let me swap the lemon sorbet with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Absolutely delicious and a great way to end the meal. They have a great selection of drinks, I was particularly impressed with the lagers and gins available. Overall it was a lovely atmosphere and pretty cheap for a Sunday lunch, although I was slightly disappointed with a couple of aspects of the food I'll definitely be returning.

Family late Sunday Lunch from the set menu was a great success. Food, drinks, service and ambience were all very good.

Pleasant modern surroundings. The waitress was friendly but appeared overworked on this lunchtime, so service was slow. The vegetarian risotto with Welsh rarebit was disappointing. The risotto lacked seasoning, so was very low on flavour and the small amount of rarebit on the toast meant it was dry.

Had Sunday lunch today, only two of the starters were bought out and had to ask for our drinks order. Food disappointing, new potatoes were old and orange slosh as accompanying seasonal veg of two sprigs of broccoli. Most disappointing was my guests slow roast pork which defied the description.

Underwhelming! We went for a family birthday meal, eating from their Sunday lunch menu. Initially the service was good with drinks and meal orders tajen efficiently. The starters were somewhat small in size, with my garlic mushrooms coming with a sauce that seemed to be missing the garlic. My main course was trio of beef, pork and turkey with Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, swede, broccoli and potatoes. The beef was gristly, the cabbage overpowered by cinnamon, and the yorkshire greasy. We had arranged for a birthday cake to be brought, which they did without clearing the dinner plates first, totally ruining the photo opportunity. We also had to remind the staff to bring plates and forks to eat the cake with.

Good service and a great pleasure for kids in a play area. There is a lovely view of the sunset in the play area.

Great food, shame they removed some of the seafood meals from the menu. It was one of the reasons I kept returning. Will have have to try some new places for decent seafood now.

Lovely pub garden with a relaxed atmosphere. Good car park is handy too. Handy location for myself. Probably my go to pub in hot weather.

Sticky tables in the bar. Clueless bar staff. Really small TV in rooms. Very dirty Bathroom. Toilets in the bar not much better. They do a good breakfast. The lady that waits on is really nice and helpfull.

Booked this Hotel several weeks in advance of my Granddaughter's wedding only to be informed when we arrived that we were not booked in there. After a rather stressful time booking a room at another Hotel l had a phone call at 11.20 asking why l hadn't arrived at The Worlds End. I really can't understand how something like this could happen. So if anyone books there l suggest you ring beforehand just to make sure you are ACTUALLY booked in. We finally stayed at The Premier Inn in Wellingborough where we were very pleased with our room and the lovely receptionists.

Great bar and restaurant. Nice way to spend an evening in their chilled out snug room too. Large outside seated area and play area for kids.

Avoid… My wife chose this place to celebrate her birthday lunch so the 3 of us ordered 1 Panini, 1 Prawn Sandwich and 1 Cheese & Bacon Burger. Took ages and the burger had been replaced by a cheese and grape sandwich. Whilst returning this I asked if my sandwich was supposed to be lightly toasted or stale? The reply… 'just stale' and the waitress retreated. The stale sandwich was replaced with fresh bread and the burger turned up without its cheese or bacon. I was offered a free sandwich for the inconvenience but after paying the bill, noticed that no discount had been offered. When queried again I would need to wait for the manager to return from his lunch. We gave up, never to return.

Just stopped for drinks. A little pricey for my liking but the food, pub and area were lovely.

It was ok, nice location but there was only one member of bar staff and she was having to cover reception as well as the bar. Apart from that lovely.

Attended a small function in a room with bar at one end of TWE. Room had a lot of character and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Had to go the upstairs bar for real ale however.

The staff are always helpful, the food is varied and either good or great! The cellar bar is a nicely tucked away venue for a get-together with an excellent buffet. Friends have also stated that the rooms are great value for money due to the quality. On the rare occasion when we have had an issue it has been dealt with professionally and courteously. Heartily recommended.

Excellent food rather pricey but you get the quality. As for the accomodation. Very basic price and quality. Makes you wonder what market they are aiming for.

Me and my wife have eaten here several times over the years and have enjoyed our meals and service each and every time. Very, very surprised by the negative comments. Maybe some people just don't appreciate good food and just like to moan? Would thoroughly recommend The Worlds End.

Not the greatest quality food but we've been a few times and will go back! Service is a bit hit and miss when it's busy.
