We visited during our short break to sunny Loddon. The staff were excellent and the food was yummy too.

We met some people who recommend the Swan and we were not disappointed. Family friendly, staff who knew about their drinks and food. The food was amazing. You could taste the quality. Nothing was left over. The desserts, well you definitely have to leave room for the desserts, their Eton mess was like nothing I've ever had before. A must stop off if you are nearby.

Never disappoints. Attentive service.

It’s been a while since we have eaten here and it is a joy to be back. Superb food and excellent friendly service makes for a super evening. We will be back.

I booked the swan for a meal with friends little knowing it would be our last opportunity for a night out before the new lockdown!
The atmosphere was lovely from the moment we walked in to the downstairs bar area which is cosy & inviting as well as stylish.
After being shown upstairs to the restaurant which I was a little concerned might lack some of the atmosphere we were not disappointed. The room was nicely decorated with art on all the walls, I didn’t get chance to look properly but I think you could purchase.
Anyway the food was delicious! Well presented & very tasty all served by friendly staff who must have been feeling worried about the imminent closure through lockdown again but it didn’t show.
Good luck to you all & we will definitely be back again… soon.

I visit Loddon regularly for business and often stay in the Swan. The rooms are excellent and food is too. I would recommend The Swan 100%

First visit here and I have to say it is such a lovely place. The bar was very busy and lively, plenty of seating area inside and outside, the restaurant was upstairs, it is again very nice, staff were friendly and food was excellent and will definitely return.
There is a car park at the rear and opposite there is a massive car park with free parking after 6pm — bonus.

Our group stayed for two nights at The Swan. We were really looked after well. The whole team were pleasant and engaging. Great food and drink. My room in the old town hall was perfect.

Just a nice quiet friendly pub/restaurant/hotel and it has a car park unlike some places we’ve been to.

Visited the swan for the first time in a few years and to say it wasn’t a pleasant experience is a understatement! The staff was fine but was a very cold reception from certain locals was made to feel we did not belong there and was glared at! I won’t be attending again and after speaking to other people in the other local public houses they said they don’t even go in because of the reception they have received so sad to hear.

Had a three day break here for my birthday to vist the broads etc, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was always lovely poached eggs were ace. Would stay here again if in the area. Lovely location.

Meeting friends at Loddon broads, decided to make a break of it. Needed a place to stay, out of the places available to stay we decided on the Swan, only down side was the restaurant was closed on a Monday evening. The place was regally nice, deserving the 4 stars, the place was clean, room was a good size with good size wardrobes, bathroom was a good size with only a shower,. Breakfast was good, only let down was no offer of baked beans, it was tasty but dry. Staff friendly and helpful. We returned the next day for lunch, which we ate on the patio, food was good. As a whole the place is highly recommended.

Good selection of local beers, as well as Aspall's cider, all reasonably priced. Space to sit outside round the back of the pub.

Lovely pub which serves excellent food. Don't go if you want a plain burger or fish and chips. More of a Gastropub. But it's cool to go in just for a drink.

Enjoyed our three night stay very much. Large bedroom with wonderful en suite wet room. All staff were extremely friendly and breakfast excellent. All rooms very tastefully furnished. Highly recommend The Swan. A short walk to small marina was added bonus.

Great pub, food is excellent, staff are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met, beer garden is a great sun trap, the music behind the bar is also in good taste and other patrons are friendly and inviting, all in a great community feel.

Had a really lovely meal here out in the sun. I would advise booking as early as possible! – Also an excellent selection of gin!

Good pub food at a fair price. Service is timely but quality is good. Relatively cheap beer and staff are friendly. Only issue is due to it being dog friendly the smell of the pub leans towards a wet dog smell. Other than that everything else good.

Every time we come to Loddon we visit the Swan — and we have never been disappointed. We moored a little way from the village but it was an easy walk to the pub. There is a great selection of beer and a good choice of food. There are other pubs in Loddon but his one is by the far the best and you must visit the next time you are passing.

Very nice and quite pub with good beers Sadly the pub was dominated yesterday by a foul mouthed local and his dog So glad my wife and children were not there I will be in lodging over the next few Wednesdays so with try another pub Just hope he does not frequent them all His language was unnecessary and not inkeeping of this nice pub.

Lovely pub great food it was our second visit we will be returning again soon.

A lovely place, nicely decorated but sadly not been up to previous standards lately. Sunday lunch felt like it had been prepared the day before, looked good but over or double cooked, the dessert special ran out extremely early in service despite there only being 2 tables sat down before us, some staff were lovely however some really needed to smile and interact more and pay attention to their customers. I hope it gets back up to its usual standards again soon.

Best food I have had for a while. Fish was cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice and homely. Will definitely come back again.

Attended the blues, BBQ and Beer Festival… band fab, could have gone on into the evening. Beer festival great, just a shame that they didn't take cards in the tap room. BBQ appalling value for money, one tiny chicken leg for £3, that is not a meal unless you had salad which was £2. Even then I couldn't believe it was deemed a BBQ, what about BBQ veg to keep your costs low but add substance for the customer. Burger in bun was a meal however!
All in all the atmosphere band and Beer made for a lovely afternoon, thanks.

Took a chance and booked a meal relying on the reviews. Absolutely fabulous! Very professional and friendly staff, very good food and an excellent atmosphere. We had two people in the party that had food allergies and they were both consulted on their choice of food. First Class, Highly recommended.

Lovely bar/restaurant! Enjoyed a delicious gourmet burger for lunch, a few pints and some pool!

Fantastic food though wasn't keen on box presentation for the burger and service could have been more attentive we were given bread but no side plates and waited a good while to put in our order. We would return again because the meal was delicious. Beer great.

Just had lunch at this pub if you can call it a pub, more like home from home, lovely place, lovely staff and the food was Top Notch, Gordon Ramsey eat your heart out, I only had cod and chips, mushy peas but beautiful chips, fish lovely in its batter, mushy peas lovely. I ordered tom sauce but the flavour was so good I didnt even need it. 10/10 very good chef. My wife had the burger which was even better. We will be back.

What a wonderful evening! We have just had a family supper on the Friday grill night and want to say a huge thank you for managing to fit us in and also provide as always great food. The flat iron steak with garlic butter it was so good I can honestly say that is the best steak bar none I have ever eaten in Great Britain. I don't usually order beef as many steaks over the years in Britain have been dull in taste and chewy — Jason Wright, the head chef, never disappoints but this is possibly my favourite dish for the mains so far and for pud the chocolate ganache with hazelnuts and coffee ice cream is pretty awesome too. Thank you to all the lovely staff for making our meal so special.

Very nice food here at The Swan, Loddon. We pre-ordered our food over the phone with the manager "Kelly" who was SO helpful and friendly. When we arrived slightly late the staff and Kelly were more than understanding and the food was delivered to our table with smiles. We ate on a Friday night which was Grill Menu night comprised of a small be fabulously cooked array of locally sourced steaks, swordfish and vegetarian option. 6 of us differing meals and all of us agreed that the food was lovely, very fresh produce used, beautifully cooked and presented. Nice ales and wine to boot! Thank you Kelly and staff. We will be back (and telling our friends of the great service you are offering).
