The Hamilton Hotel is great and suitable for disabled guests. I have been going for the past 6 years or more. Lovely people running it. Caring for everyone who books in. Try it and see when we can movie about.

Mpre like a b and b than hotel wasnt our first choice as was away for 3 nights as hubbys birthday but our other hotel had to cancel with just 2 hours notice due to health and safety issues so we had to find something quick within price range as we were on our way cold room heating came on and off on a timer was off in morning and off at night shower tray slippery needs mat and floor in bathroom slippery plus no handles in shower to hold onto to steady yourself I'm disabled with mobility problems so uneasy on my feet scared the living daylights out of me as I slipped couple times plus very small room supposed to be superior plus bed uncomfortable needs proper mattresses we both ended up with bad back ache and had to rub freeze gel on our backs and hubby never suffers with back ache plus only had breakfast 1 morning greasy hubby egg was burnt and small had better will never stay there again not suitable for disabled re shower plus no lift never saw owners we dont normally complain but this was the worse weve ever stayed in not for us I'm afraid.

Each to their own, not my cup of tea.

Friendly small guesthouse. They were out of Fosters lager while we were there. The room was terribly small but the staff went the extra mile even advising me to move my convertible car because the place I had elected to park it in was frequented by birds and the excrement would not be a welcome addition!

Lovely clean and welcoming hotel. Rooms very clean and very comfortable. In a quiet part of Great Yarmouth so peaceful nights sleep. Lovely full English breakfast, cereals, and as much toast as you can eat. A place we will most certainly use again.

Booking was a little difficult, but it was sorted after a few telephone calls. Family rooms were not as nice as those on the website. All staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Ideally placed for all the amenities Yarmouth has to offer. Disabled friendly.

Very small room. When opening toilet door it hit bed. Shower room with toilet as big as a cupboard. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was plenty and nice. Ten min walk along the sea front to arcades.

Had a lovely stay here for 2 days had a friendly warm welcome when we arrived our room was nice bed was comfortable breakfast was lovely staff were very friendly and the hotel is in a great location the beach is across the road and it's a 5-10 minute walk from the tourist attractions will come back here when we return to Great Yarmouth.

This hotel is not worthy of the 4 star rating it proudly displays. In fairness, 2 stars would be generous. The first room we stayed in (room 26) was very small with a bathroom barely big enough for an adult. Hot water took ages to get through the taps. The shower is very weak. There is only a shaving light in the bathroom. The only working light in the main room was a bedside light. Not easy to find when getting back to a dark room at night. The heating is turned off at night so the temperature plummeted to 9c waking us up. We complained and got moved to room number 2. Another tiny room with holes in the wall, an even smaller bathroom with filthy mouldy tiles and silverfish! Situated near the bar area we heard most conversations even with the door closed and TV on. This room seemed to have a broken thermostat as the heating was either on full, or off altogether. The heating went off again in the night so we were woken again. The breakfast was ok, no complaints there. The beds were very comfy, thankfully. Overall this place needs to lose a few rooms in order to join the smallest rooms and make them more spacious. The cleaner needs to be supervised or replaced. The hotel really needs an overhaul and some genuine reviews to avoid disappointment. I certainly wouldn't return here or recommend to others.

Stay in one of there high end room, nice large room with all the facilities you could possibly need. Guests and staff are very respectful. Nice warm welcome as you walk through the door. Only downfall was slight water damage to one of the walls in my room other then that is truly worth the money.

Friendly staff and if u get a front room u have a great view of the beach.

Family run hotel very friendly helpful room clean tidy and comfortable, breakfast good and evening meal. Beach View with short walk to promenade great value for money.

Friendly owners a nice cooked breakfast and a big family room. All in all a good hotel on the seafront.

Absolutely beautiful room staff very warm and friendly on arrival would recommend to any one first class place to stay will deffinatley being coming back again soon.

Moderately sufficient room for a 2 night stay. Very loud guests however, slamming doors throughout the night, shouting at children etc. Which is not the fault of the hotel's but indicates very thin walls as we could hear almost everything next door to us! Room had bathroom with a sliding door that didn't close all the way which was awkward and provided insufficient privacy but my partner and I just laughed about it. Wouldn't have been comfortable to stay any longer than a night or two but did the job for our short stay.

Nice room. But no water in room. Could do with some form of reception sign as we didn't know where it was when we arrived. Rooms might need an update. Fresh lick of paint. Maybe modern wall paper too.

Me and my fiancé had such a lovely 4 days away here. On our arrival we was greeted by the owners who were really lovely and welcoming, the room we paid for was worth it! The bed was so comfy and we both had a great night sleep, every morning we had a delicious full English breakfast. Everything is so close to walk to! we went to the swimming pool, amusements, market, crazy golf, laser tag! We never used the car once! The hotel is close to the beach which is lovely! Anyone visiting Great Yarmouth I would definitely recommend staying at the Hamilton hotel as it's really good for price and welcoming! I'm rating it a 5* we will be returning here when we next visit Yarmouth ☺

Friendly and clean for a good price.

Just returned from a lovely week in this hotel, Lorraine, David and all the staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. The room was fab and the food and service excellent. Thank you all for making our holiday we will definitely be returning xxx.

Very disappointed. It was supposed to be a 4star hotel, I think it must have got them in the 70s coz nothing has changed. Room very small same as shower room. Just a very tired place.

Stayed for 1 night in the executive seashells room with a
sea views and a lovely kings sized bed and beautifully clean and tidy room. Was impressed with the bath size and clean
bathroom. Bed was a nice size and room was decorated nicely
breakfast was good although portion size for cooked breakfst was a little bit small but friendly service and short waiting times. Friendly staff and welcoming. Only one problem with stay was only a small thing was being woken up at 6am but I believe kids running around in the room upstairs as went on for quite a while. Apart from that a brilliant stay and would stay again in the same room xx.

Stayed here over the Christmas period two years ago. Had the Executive Double En-Suite which was of a better standard than some pricey hotels I've stayed in in London. Well decorated and clean with all the necessary amenities and drinks/nibbles included in the room. Nice view of the seafront. Breakfast was included in the price and the full English was very well cooked and the perfect size. I also helped myself to the continental which had a good variety too. The staff were very friendly and chatty. They made you feel at home. We also had dinner there one night and they were happy to cook us food to order off the menu also to keep us happy. I would highly recommend.

Me and my partner stayed the 22/7/16 for a few days it is a brilliant place to stay nice view from the bar and the staff where lovely as well. Breakfast was nice and a good way to start the day off. A big thank you to every one there as was made to feel welcome and hotel was very homely and the rooms was very nice and comfy as well.

Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights and everything about it was brilliant! Tony, Dave and Lorraine were lovely, polite, friendly and very helpful people. Room was lovely, breakfast was fab, served very quickly with a friendly waitress. They all made us feel very welcome and made our first visit ever to Great Yarmouth very pleasant indeed! Thank you to you all for a fab stay! 2 very satisfied guests — we will be back! … I would definitely recommend The Hamilton Hotel for anyone looking for nice place to stay.

A friendly family run guest house. 4 nights complete rest and wonderful breakfasts. We have no complaints.

Unhelpful. Didn't want to take my booking because it included a bank holiday weekend. The voucher I wanted to claim was purchased online and stated clearly no exclusions of a bank holiday. Felt like he just wanted to hang up the phone. Probably should be in a customer facing position.

Lovely location, close to town centre. Very friendly staff, rooms clean and facilities good.

£ 65 for the room with a dirty toilet and strange sounds of the old house. . 4 stars hotel for me 1 star B&B.

What a beautiful place to stay! The wife kids and I stayed in room 7 large modern clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast was superb and will be returning again Thank you for a relaxing stay.

I went for a birthday weekend celebration at Hamilton and the service was amazing. The rooms were very clean and well presented. The staff were extremely polite and was very helpful and provided service with a smile. I would definitely recommend this hotel for family and friends.

Just a Awful expierience. After booking a room online we arrive to find out they sold it to another customer just before we arrived! After searching for about 50 mins they found us another hotel and we followed them to the new destination and it was a 2 star hotel! And they hamilton was going to charge us and then give it to the other hotel! £60 for a 2 star hotel I dont bloody think so. Unprofessional and pandering 1 star.

I was very disappointed with my 3 nights stay at The Hamilton, Great Yarmouth with my then g/f. I chose the hotel as it was a 4 star hotel, but it's certainly not a 4 star hotel! This is very misguiding indeed and poor from The AA’s hotel grading. Some aspects of the hotel may well breach 3 stars (like some of the bedrooms shown, strangely enough no examples of the dreadful room we were in) but for the ‘whole of the hotel’ to be classed as 4 stars is not ethical! The cost for a double room was £60 a night. When we got to the room we thought it was a joke as the room was very poor indeed. There were cracks in the walls; very small and basic looking with a small TV, with few channels and poor picture. There was also a crudely made shower and toilet unit stuffed into the room which was hard to use as the entry was right next to the bed, and very small in area once inside. The internet signal wasn’t strong enough to reach the room, and the kitchen was located right under the block of rooms we were situated in, so there was the drone of the extractor from around 6:30am till 11am and then around 5pm till 11:30pm. Walking up and down the stairs was made unsafe by numerous stair lifts. The family who run the hotel were pleasant (if somewhat in their own world) and the breakfast we had on our last day was nice, but, this was the only positive aspect of the £180 we shelled out for such a poor and misleading stay. A 2 star guest house is more apt in my experience.

I have just got back from a long weekend break at Great Yarmouth, after staying at The Hamilton. The hotel was absolutely lovely and I had a nice relaxing time staying there. The rooms were lovely, tidy and clean with great views. The hotel is situated in an ideal location across the road from the beach. The food at the hotel was great, with a wide range to choose from. Most importantly the owners and staff were lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely come back to The Hamilton on my next visit to Great Yarmouth, and I highly recommend it.

We paid £65 for a double room that would be ideal for playing sardines in! There was a 12" gap between the bed and the bathroom, if the wall hadn't of been there then you could actually touch the toilet whilst laying in bed! The corridors are very narrow and the stairs are difficult to navigate as they are narrow but with the added stair lifts it has made it very dodgy indeed. The hotel is in a good location but I will definately NOT be staying again.
