We stopped last Christmas and we had a lovely time, lovely clean rooms, staff we’re friendly and polite. Food was fabulous. It made Christmas a special time for granddaughter, wife and myself.

In these pandemic times — thoughtful and helpful staff and good service. We were not residents but ate there on 3 occasions whilst in Cromer. Good food well prepared and cooked. You must call in.

We only ate here so cant comment on the accomodation or facilities. I had lobster and crab with garlic butter which was delicious but lacked 2 vital things, a finger bowl and the picker. I managed but was a little sticky after the lobster legs and had to go to the toilets to wash it off. My husband had the cod which was lovely but less than half the size he expected it was very small. It was 20cm by 15cm and ideal if you have a light appetite. He has a normal appetite so felt a bit short measured. The tartar sauce was lovely. Over all we were happy however and we would certainly go back. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely. The drinks perfect.

The staff are very friendly and polite. The food is very tasty. The location is perfect for wandering to the beach or town. I really enjoyed my stay.

I've stayed at the Cliftonville three times now over the last 15 years so they must be doing something right. Whilst you can't fault the welcome and the friendliness of all the staff I was left feeling slightly disappointed on my last visit. It's been the best part of 10 years since I was last there and based on the current room price I was somehow expecting that it had probably been significantly refurbished but to be honest it didn't seem to have changed at all. Good in some ways but starting to look slightly tired in other areas. Breakfasts were good and the food in Bolton's Brasserie was fine too.

A great hotel, lovely staff. I’ve never stayed here but eat here regularly and personally I believe it’s the best restaurant in Cromer, great value and superb food. The chef obviously hides his light under a bush, he cooks everything to perfection with great product and he’s not scared to season the food as it should be. If you want old world charm with excellent service and lovely this is the place for you.

We booked a wake at the Cliftonville, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful with special requests, setup of the wonderful function room, and assisting family staying at the hotel. No problem catering for special dietary requirements, and gave us up until a few days before to confirm numbers, which was invaluable — we even rang the evening before to add more people. Would highly recommend.

Went for dinner for mums surprise 60th birthday she had a lovely time! Staff allowed us to put decorations up and decorate the table. Food was lovely, slightly overpriced personally but food standard very good. Staff very attentive and helpful.

The hotel building is a beautiful Edwardian structure with some interesting features ie the stain glass windows as shown in tha attached photos. The staff were friendly and efficient with a smile. Unfortunately the price's charged are approaching "London" level while the quality is "reasonable Norfolk seaside town" for food and drink. The small cup of tea ☕ my wife ordered was £2:45 we normally expect from £1:20 — £1:90 in Norfolk.

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful hotel, the staff were very friendly and attentive, the room was so elegant with a very comfortable big bed, the food from the bistro was fabulous and the view was stunning, I didn’t realise how close we were to the sea until we opened the curtains in the morning ❤️ this was a surprise birthday treat from my boyfriend, he certainly is a keeper, thank you to everyone at the hotel for helping to make this years birthday amazing xx.

Situated very near the North Norfolk coastal town of Cromer this hotel is within a walking distance of the beach, pier and shops. Traditional style hotel with a grand interior. Staff very attentive and eager to assist. Very popular in the tourist season. Gearing itself up now for the festive season. The Bistro restaurant serves good food in nice surroundings.

This is an excellent hotel. The deluxe room we had was amazing. Definitely recommend this & Will b returning.

Stayed for 1 night. The service was top class. Room sea views were amazing. The staff were friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Our Bichon Frise Beau was made to feel comfortable as well. Would recommend to friends.

Omg awful nothing I can say to make u think any other. Terrible rooms terrible food nothing else to say.

Over priced and in need of some paint
We stayed at this place for one nite due to being stuck in croma sat just gone and though ok we will get a room with only a executive suite left we took it at £120 with breakfast
When we got to our room it was small and the bed even smaller
My partner being a 5foot 9 girl and me being over 6 foot had to sleep with our feet almost touching the wall due to this room being a joke
And the bed was suppose to be a double but no way more like a giant single
So anyway parking was a joke
In the morning we tried to fit in the shower and well from the size of the room it was plain to se it was a tight fit but when we went for breakfast the hall was massive and not many people
Breakfast was ok but nothing special yet around 12 o'clock I had pains in my stomach and was lucky to find a place to stop due to having a case of find toilet and run so all in all it's over priced to small and the food needs addressing
Executives in croma must be on Average 4 foot tall if your 5.5 and over don't bother
I'm not happy one bit
And will find a better place in future.

Just perfect for us. The style, decor and atmosphere is how we like it. Pleasant surroundings and good food.

Overall excellent, friendly and well turned out staff, the architecture inside and out terrific. I likened it to old colonial style. The food was also splendid. Definitely stay again.

The hotel is lovely very a vintage charm. The rooms on the side can get really hot though and they don't have air conditioning. So meant my partner and I could not sleep. When we mentioned this to management they changed us straight away. The second room was cooler. The bistot attached to the hotel is good. Had 2 very good dinners there.

We loved our stay here in a family room. Room was lovely and clean and sea view beautiful. Would recommend the afternoon tea, it was very tasty. Evening meal and breakfast were very good too. Staff very friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again in this beautiful building. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Room and staff are great. Sea view is lovely. Food is good but a little dull and somewhat pricey (caters more to the elderly traveller) TV signal seemed to get Interference but this seemed to be caused by the weather. Drains smelled when flushed but smell went after a little while.

What a wonderful Hotel, I got here early on my first day but was made to feel very welcome while I waited for my room to be ready. I was staying with my dog, who was also fussed over and made to feel welcome. We had a top floor room with beautiful views over the sea and down to the pier. My room was lovely and well appointed. I have stayed in a lot of single rooms around the world but this was by far the best, I usually end up with a shoe box or the broom cupboard! The bathroom had a bath and shower. Tea and coffee was provided and top ups if needed. The hotel provides bowls and a blanket for your dog and food if you would like it.
There is a lovely choice at breakfast including cereals, a lovely granola, yoghurt and fruit, toast and a fantastic English breakfast. The plates are hot hot hot! You can sit and enjoy the choices for as long as you like as you have your own allocated table. News papers are available and will be delivered to your room. There is Wi-Fi in the hotel which works well in the bar and reception areas, I also caught some Wi-Fi in my room on the top floor. The hotel is well maintained, my room was fresh and clean which is duplicated throughout the hotel. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. They are genuinely there to help. I ate in Boltons Bistro which was lovely, a nice selection of food in nice surroundings. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, in fact I am writing this before I even leave!

I enjoyed an excellent Autumn break at the Cliftonville. Easy parking was a boon. Yes, when it says sea view, it means it. I had a view of the pier and each night I left the curtains open so the sweep of the beam from the lighthouse across the ceiling lulled me to sleep. The weather wasn't particularly kind in the evenings so I ate in the hotel restaurant each of the three evenings. Hotel restaurants can be chill and forbidding, but you know they are getting something right when the restaurant is busy early in the week and that the locals are regular customers. Try the Cromer Crab and the Morston mussels. To die for. My room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, with generous portions, and the staff all impeccably helpful. I will definitely be back.
