Let me preface this by saying that I have never ever left a negative review of any kind for accommodation that I’ve stayed at. I usually like to give the benefit of the doubt and simply don’t leave a review if I know it’s going to be negative. However, my experience with this apartment has been so horrific that I feel it is my responsibility to warn all of you.

I was booked to stay in one of the rooms of this apartment for one night, for which I paid £63. Ahead of my arrival, I was given instructions on how to access the apartment key in a lock box outside of the building. When I arrived, I noticed that the lock box was not somewhere sort of hidden within the estate, but that it was hanging from a tree on the main road outside the estate, in full view of everyone. As I approached the box, I also noticed that the four digit code on it had not been scrambled, and that any person passing by would have been able to read the code and access the box and any of the three sets of keys inside of it (all of which could be used to get into the apartment).

Despite my concerns, I hoped that the code hadn’t been clearly displayed long enough for anyone to notice it. However, when I entered the apartment at check-in time and approached my room, I saw that the bed was unmade and that someone must have slept there the night before.

Note, if the keys are not available and your room is found dirty (towel, bin, bed) with the keys on the side. There has most likely not been another guest using the facility unauthorised like the owner will tell you. Number 1 for staying somewhere is trust. Trust that you are safe, trust that owners will provide correct information. Sadly this is not the case here. 04/03/23 left without staying.
