Well interesting service, a few days ago booked a table at half way house, gave name and contact phone number, went there today at the time of the book8ng for 5 people, sadly they had a long term power cut, can't be helped but as they had my contact phone number maye a heads up phone call would have been good, but never mind. So where to go, called Hall Farm in Ashby Cum Fenby (same company as halfway house), told them the issue and they were able to fit us in for 8pm for 5 people, happy days. So we go straight to Hall Farm, park up and walk into the restaurant, half empty (at least) young lady (who took our booking) greeted us, Dawn asked if we could have a drink outside whilst we waited for the other two people from our party. A bloke with a beard (possibly the manager then said "You best be quick we were taking last orders when you called'. Well that was welcoming… not. So what to do, time to walk out, as we turned he said words to the effect ' were not wanting you to leave" Well we kept walking, not professional, not welcoming at all, felt like we were intruding. It would have been better if they said they were closing and couldn't fit us in. But they didn't, they accepted our booking. So they have lost out on a couple hundred quid. I can never recommend and will never return.

Hall farm hosted our wedding on 26/02/22 and it was faultless! The whole team were fantastic from the very first enquiry, questions were answered promptly & nothing was too much trouble! Special thanks to Angela & Alan who were brilliant throughout. The venue’s facilities and grounds were excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious and the grounds make for some great pictures! All the food was amazing, there was a huge choice when picking the menu and they were very flexible with any alterations/dietary requirements. The evening buffet was also of very high quality (and quantity! ) All in all, it couldn’t have been better. If you’re considering getting married here, don’t give it a second thought.

Amazing service and even better food.

We had our wedding meeting at Hall Farm yesterday with Angela, who has been utterly fabulous since we booked in 2020. Whilst we were there we decided to stay over for dinner, bed and breakfast. Absolutely every member of staff were so kind, lovely and made us feel super welcome and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is beautiful, our room so clean and comfortable with lovely amenities. The food… well there is only one thing to say DELICIOUS 😋 We absolutely cannot wait to have our wedding day here and share the incredible experience of Hall Farm and the impeccable service with our nearest and dearest 🌟

Cosy, friendly and fab food. Just had the fish pie which was amazing, everyone elses fish & chips and a steak burger looked equally as good!

Excellent food service and staff highly recommend the bread and butter pudding to die for had the fish and chips absolutely top draw 👍will definitely be back.

Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious, super clean room :) can’t fault the restaurant. My son has a dairy allergy and they double checked everything for us and were really accommodating. Just generally a lovely place to stay with lovely people working there :) will definitely stay again.

Had a lovely meal. Staff were very welcoming especially under all the guidelines that they have to follow. Husband had steak that he said was perfect, I had the duck. We both finished with the chocolate brownie which was amazing. We will definitely be back and have already booked for my birthday.

We went for a meal for our 1st wedding anniversary. Fantastic food, excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend you any one who wants a great meal.

Booked lunch for our ladies monthly club what a delight, consiairge was so polite and professional. Food was beautifully cooked and the puddings were a naughty pleasure. Definitely 10/10 from us and we will be returning, so thank you Hall Farm for a very much needed relaxed enjoyable meal.

Just finished Haddock Goujon lunch followed by Brownie and Ice cream. This is highly recommended, great location, amazing quality food and service in a nicely relaxed atmosphere. You are missing out if you don't try it.

Went to a wedding it was fabulous the staff were brilliant the food was brilliant the atmosphere was brilliant and a super venue really really enjoyed it.

I stayed here last month and can not recommend it enough. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious! So so beautiful and chic.

The team were brilliant and looked after us on our wedding day. The food was incredible. Lovely place x.

Had a fantastic stay, the evening meal was out of this world. Can’t wait to come back, staff were friendly.

Lovely welcome by the bar staff. The food choices are great with a few more on the specials board. Everything was cooked to order, so a little wait (not complaining! ) when the food arrived it was beautifully presented and tasted divine. Well done to the chef. Will definitely be back.

We had our wedding here 8th June 2019 the whole day was perfect carnt thank John Paris Alan Leanne and the rest of the team enough nothing was too much to ask for. Place is in a good location, staff attentive and courteous. Food was very good, soup was super with lovely warm crusty bread. Main meal was a good proportion. Dessert was superbly presented.

So quiet and peaceful, beautifully decorated room, (wyham) excellent evening meal and the breakfast was superb. The staff were all very friendly and professional, well done to you all, we will be back.

Recently attended a wedding here and it ran very smoothly. The announcer had judged the couple well and announced them in a style that suited them. The food was served quickly, efficiently and hot. The staff were very efficient and pleasant. The dj came round to ask what music people wanted and he played it so it was a good mix. It was a nice setting and went well.

Ordered the pan fried chicken and felt very sick within the next few hours, also 4.50 for a pate on toast? Bread wasn't even fresh and nearly 15 quid for a salad? are you havin a laugh? AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
