Myself & two friends went for dinner last night, we had to wait an hour & 15 minutes for the food to eventually be brought out,
First was a poppadom, naan, & the mango chutney, then around 5 minutes later, the lasagna turned up, around another 5 mins my salmon rice & veg, that had to be sent back as I’d asked for no rice, another 5/10 minutes pass the new salmon & just veg arrived with my friends curry, the new salmon had to be sent back as it was cold! So another 10 minutes go by (which I understand as my meal is having to be cooked) then I get my meal.
So us three girls had gone out to eat together & ended up eating in shifts so their food wouldn’t go cold waiting for me. One waitress explained our order has been mixed up in the kitchen, no apology, & blamed the new girl. The other young waitress was very apologetic, asking if we wanted drinks, took my salmon off the bill, the chief sent out a bowl of complimentary chips. She was really pleasant, I explained I knew or wasn’t her fault & thanked her for checking up on us.
We then had to wait another 20 minutes to have to table cleared, & when we asked for the bill in response to “ do you want desert? “ the bill was tossed onto the table… it’s now gone 9pm, we’ve been there since 6:45. I have to say the food was lovely, the service was poor bar the one lovely young dark haired lady. The place wasn’t hectic or really that busy at all, there was a larger party in celebrating a birthday & they also complained about service, not all their party got their food together.
I appreciate training new staff takes time & mistakes do happen.
