The Elm Tree Hotel

On Saturday I had my baby shower here that my friends and Mum had organised. We had afternoon tea. The room was lovely. The food was amazing. Drinks were constantly being filled and we were always being checked on to make sure everything was ok and if we wanted anything else. We had a wonderful afternoon and for anyone looking to have afternoon tea needs to book here! thank you so much xx.

Big thanks to Jonathan and Chris. Beautiful rooms, exquisitely decorated, but comfy and cosy at the same time. Breakfast was delicious and the service was faultless. All in all a wonderful base if you wish to visit the Lincolnshire wolds. Could not recommend highly enough, we will be back!

Finally after waiting for lockdown to end we have been able to enjoy my 40th birthday present. And it was certainly worth the wait. It’s was delicious. Sandwiches were fresh and the cakes were amazing. We felt so welcome and the owners were very friendly. It was a lovely treat and I’d definitely recommend it. The gardens were beautiful and lovely to sit in after your meal. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon and making us feel so welcome.

What a perfect place to spend our wedding night. Beautiful, spacious suite. Gorgeously appointed and a bed that was more comfortable than the arms of angels.

We have just had the most fantastic Afternoon Tea experience you could ever wish for at the Elm Tree. The food was exceptional, as were the hosts. If you have not experienced this completely unique experience, you are definitely missing out on one of Lincolnshire’s little gems. Completely COVID safe.

From beginning to end this stay was fantastic. On arrival we were greeted and immediately made to feel welcome. With all the new restrictions in place, we never felt unsafe which was a huge positive for us. The room was beautifully presented and very clean. Nothing was to much trouble and the owners were even happy to recommend some local restaurants to us. The dinning area was stunning and full of character. Breakfast was amazing and did not disappoint. We will definitely be returning and I can’t wait to try the afternoon tea which has been highly recommended.

We had a take-away tea for our twins 40th birthday… it was so nice everyone enjoyed it… thank you Elm Tree… we recommend highly and look forward to another visit… luv Sue xx.

Lovely afternoon tea, fantastic setting with delicious food and excellent service.

The Elm Tree is set in a wonderful area! The house is warm and homely but with that extra touch that makes you feel special! The dining room is just right with not too many tables so you don’t feel overcrowded!
The afternoon tea was a very high standard with everything fresh and homemade!

Omg afternoon tea was amazing I have been to the Ritz for afternoon tea and this was deffo on par oh dare I say it better fantastic place and fantastic staff wish I lived there it is absolutely beautiful thank you the elm tree.

Went here for afternoon tea with mum Yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous! The place is beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome! The afternoon tea was delicious! Lovely soft sandwiches and a good choice of cakes! Scones were very yummy! The owners are lovely and couldn’t do anymore for you! They kept our teapot full all the time, explained to us what everything was and accommodated for our fussy eating habits! Thoroughly enjoyed and completely understand where there’s a wait when booking! Will definitely book in the future! Thank you!

After a long journey in the cold, any expectations were far beyond exceeded once we were welcomed very warmly and informed that our central heated room awaited ready for us. All the five star facilities were kindly explained and shown. Shortly after enjoying a hot luxury bath and tea, the only challenge I found was to stay awake on possibly the most comfortable bed that I've encountered. With our pre-arranged breakfast time schedule, a wonderful and comprehensive menu presented us with plenty of choice. The food itself is nothing short of excellent. Careful to cater for allergies, and most customer quirks within reason, the two-man dream team behind this eloquent home away from home really did make us feel as though we were the only guests. If you are looking for a very restful sleep, followed by an awesome breakfast served with personality, a friendly smile. Look no further.

First visit today on a booking that was done for a friend, we all left with such a buzz, the staff were friendly welcoming and so professional. Food was great quality and high standard. Made to feel welcome and service was done is such a way that was attentive but not over the top like some 5* places. Would highly recommend. My friend and I visited this fabulous place today for afternoon tea, and I have to say we weren’t disappointed!
We received a friendly warm welcome, there was an open fire as we walked which was really cosy and we were shown to our table immediately by a very smartly dressed gentleman.
Our afternoon tea was clearly home made and tasted fantastic.
Nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed the atmosphere in the fabulously decorated dinning area, the attention to detail is clear to see.
If your looking for somewhere that’s a little bit special the elm tree is the place for you!
If I could give 6 stars I would!

Afternoon Tea was amazing such a great selection of sandwiches and cakes. All so delicious we struggled to eat it all. You couldn’t ask for a more cosy and stunningly beautiful room to enjoy it all in. Cant recommend a visit here enough you won’t be disappointed.

Comfortable and up market bed and breakfast. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Breakfast very good quality. In an area with limited choice this is a gem.

The Elm Tree is situation less than a mile into Hundleby from Spilsby. A warm reception awaits you. The rooms are large, clean and the presentation pays attention to detail. Coffee especially brewed and made for the Elms will want you wanting more. The hosts are approachable, friendly and love the job they do which makes visiting and returning so much better.

Top class experience. All power to the owners in producing something unique to Lincolnshire. I recommend you visit soon.

Had a lovely high tea at the elm the good was lovely and we was made very welcome.

The building has recently been through a major refurbishment. Situated on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, this boutique B&B offers luxury, comfort and a warm welcome.

We live in Hundleby, Lincolnshire, where The Elm Tree is located and were looking for a nearby venue for a birthday day. From the moment we first got in touch (easily and conveniently via Facebook) to enquire about having a birthday party at The Elm Tree, Jonathan and Christopher were nothing but the perfect hosts. They straight away invited us to come round, look round and discuss what we wanted with them. They were so friendly and easy to talk to, and NOTHING was too much trouble. We talked to them about what we wanted, and they made it happen, and made it appear quite effortless (although we know it wasn't! ) They were an absolute pleasure to deal with — customer service just comes naturally to them! They took all the stress out of organising a birthday party and made it incredibly easy for us. The food was delicious, the hosting was fantastic, the venue was perfect. They have done an amazing job at taking a beautiful old building and bringing it back to life. They have taste and style! The look, feel and design of The Elm Tree is incredible — and all the guests at the party kept remarking on what a beautiful place this is and what an incredible venue it is. The downstairs rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished and perfect for a gathering. The bedrooms are also beautifully done and very comfortable, with every little detail thought of, including a Tassimo machine in the bedroom, with delicious homemade cookies next to it.
