Lovely new decor & outdoor area. Staff very accommodating & polite. Meals were good.

I visited on 28/7/18 around 7pm. With my friend for his first visit. We was not impressed at all. We decided to order the Saturday super specials but was told they had run out of steak. (should have extra on special nights). Looked at menu again and decided on chicken new yorker and was told they had run out of onion rings, asked for 1 peas to change for beans and both arrived with beans! And coleslaw missing off both dishes, called the server over and questioned it and reply was "it's a new menu and you have to pay extra for onion rings and coleslaw etc", I pointed out the menu which clearly should be included on that dish! She brought us the coleslaw (onions rings run out) … while eating our meals a couple on next table mentioned the onion rings missing from their dishes (obviously not told when they ordered) and the server lied to them also about paying extra for them. The staff should be trained on new menu and not lie and fob off paying customers.

Great pub very reasonable prices and best of all you can watch all the football or sit where its quiet if you don't want to watch footy lovely outside area what could be better cheers mo.

Why spoil what used to be a family friendly pub? Over half the pub is now dedicated to over18s … this is such an old fashioned attitude to this type of pub that serves food. We were asked to move after we had already ordered drinks and we could not find a table in the cramped family side as over 18s were eating at the tables allocated for family dining why why why would you change this to lose business? Suggest you only visit during quiet periods if you have children. Such a shame!

Will definitely be back here again. The food was really good portions and good price. Staff were really friendly and helpful… Great for whole family as they do a great range from small light meals to super size… My girls had two courses for 8 pound and they were good size too… was great …

I went on a Saturday which happened to be karaoke night after 9pm. They seem to hold different events each night starting between 8 and 9pm. I ordered a gigantic gammon which was beautifully cook. It usually comes with chips but as I'm not keen they were happy to exchange the chips for an alternative. I opted for mash. The service was fairly quick even though there were several large parties all ordering food. It was a warm family friendly atmosphere. The staff were friendly, helpful and happy to help in any way possible. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a meal out in Cleethorpes.

Was invited back after a ordering and receiving a poor attempt at a burger. The owner was understanding and offered me to give it a try and boy I wasn't expecting that. I got the burger I should have given when I ordered last time. In a freaking brioche bun!

Had a route 66 burger. Came with loads of fries and was amazing. Happy staff and great prices.

Great hearty food (I had the QUADZILLA burger) it was AWESOME! GREAT PRICES TOO! The Staff were very helpful, welcoming and HAPPY… there is a lot of fun things to do in and around the establishment. Will definitely be visiting again!

Good food and drinks, nice clean and tidy surroundings, friendly and efficient staff, fast service, nice place for families.

Took my brother and his wife here for lunch today. We each had the mini mixed grill. If this was the mini, I'm glad we didn't opt for the large. The portions were more than generous. The staff was helpful and cheerful and seemed to enjoy their work. I would definitely visit again.

It's great value for money. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I got a great night's sleep. Downstairs in the bar/restaurant there are plenty of food and drink deals so you don't break the bank. The sea is just a stone's throw away. Would stay again!

Visited for breakfast this morning and had a great experience. The food was served fast and was delicious. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will be going back again.

Went on a Friday. Buy 1 get 1 free on burgers. Very helpful and happy service and large portions on food orderd.

Change in staff has made all the difference back to how food was a long time ago friendly quick service.

We had a lovely walk along seafront and then had our lunch here which was yummy and staff were very friendly and happy x.

The Wellie serves tepid and microwave reheated meals. The cutlery as in my pictures has not even been washed when they were delivered to the table. This is the second time this place has made me feel sick and only visited this time because it is in my nature to give an establishment a second chance. I just hope I don't end up with dihorea through my foolish decision to revisit. Oh, blind to the filth but friendly staff.

Really nice place to have some food and a couple of drinks, great place to take your children as there's a kids menu and a play area.

The wellow is great restaurant and pub hotel situated in cleethorpes opposite the boating lake next door to tje bowling alley and cinema ideal for holiday makers, fab night is always had in the bar as are the meals.

Used to use this pub 30 yrs ago. Have been back once lately. Large bar good beers. And good staff. Lots of our side seating. Good car park.

Very nice meal, cooked lovely plenty of beef and veg potatoes will go again 2 meals £10 bargain. Went with my friend Margaret thank you.

Waited over an hour for food, the bar service is terrible. It's the slowest serving bar I've ever been in, snails could serve a pint quicker. Was waiting 30 minutes for a drink so decided to leave and go somewhere better.

Popular pub with a decent amount of tables inside and out. Can get very busy at weekends, so be prepared for a long wait for lunch.

Clean, warm room and very friendly staff. The music from downstairs can be heard in the room but it isn’t loud enough to cause any issues. Room was a little dated but for £30 I got a lot more than I expected.

Located close to Cleethorpes sea front the Wellow is a family friendly pub which serves food and drinks. The staff are friendly and drinks are relatively cheap if you take advantage of the two for one offers which are offered on certain days at certain times depending on the drink. The pub is a very open plan with booths and open table layouts which can cater for larger parties of customers. There is a children's play area both indoors and outdoors. This place is busy in the summer due to its close location to the sea front and boating lake.

Not good service here tonight, no coffee as machine broken ladies toilet out of order. Disabled toilet a right mess with over full waste bins of dirty nappies etc even some just thrown on the floor. Still waiting for our food which was ordered over an half hour ago. To injury to insult when meal arrived it was luke warm could not eat it. Left disappointed with service.

Good pub located close to the cleethorpes boating lake. Has a play area for children. Food is good value with plenty of deals on both food and drink.

Every time I try this place I'm disappointed. First of all didn't have the family deal on, then didn't have a particular slush, although I could see it. Then I had asked for vegetarian sausages for my daughter and they came out as meat. All this place is good for is alcohol, if they've got it. And even then you'll be sober by the time you get served for the next drink as they appear to serve extremely slow also!

We went on a Thursday as it was free dessert or starter night however once we had eaten the meal and went to order the dessert after waiting 15 minutes we called someone over only to find out that the desert we ordered wasn't available at this specific time and the waiter we had called was the only one serving and to top it all off it was his first day! So we eventually left a complaint and left the pub in disgust without getting any free dessert as we was on a time schedule for the cinema near by.

Stayed at the Wellow for a few nights, the hotel room we had was clean but very shabby and desperately needs updating. The breakfast we had first morning was probably the worst we have ever had, the bacon was covered in black burnt bits, which were also on the plate running in grease. We decided to chance the food again on our last night there, we both wanted a burger, we ordered our food just after 7:30, our meal had still not arrived at 9, I spoke to the girl on the bar, she went to find put how much longer it would be and told us it would be 5 minutes, 9:30 I asked again. The hotel was quiet, only a couple of tables eating. We finally received our meal at 10, two and a half hours later. When the food arrived it was disgraceful, the chips looked as if they had got the scraps off someone else's plate, the burgers had no bacon which we asked for, the lettuce was so soggy, my husband supposedly had pulled pork on his, there was a small amount which looked as if it had been regurgitated. There was no check back during our meal, no apology. We ate it because we had not eaten since breakfast and it was too late to go anywhere else. When we asked at the end of the meal, how we enjoyed it, we told the waitress that it was awful. They gave us a free drink. We will not be staying at the Wellow hotel again. We loved Cleethorpes and are sorry we never stayed elsewhere.

It's a decent pub. Food is good. Prices are reasonable. Not enough punters. Come on you locals. Use it or lose it!

Bar staff slow and too busy chatting when queues forming! Food was OK and the serving staff were polite. Always use hungry horse chain but standards vary from pub to pub. This was not one of my most favourites!

Went for food and drinks. Both very nice. And service is good. But does get very busy in the summer season.

The Wellow is a nice convenient hotel for the seafront, it's lovely and clean always busy drinks ate reasonable prices food is a bit hit and miss though one day they really nice and id tell everyone to go there then next time they terrible so don't know what happens,

Always enjoy the good in the Wellow. Can get very busy at times and take a while to get served. Rooms always clean and tidy, but a little dated.

Went for a family meal. Absolute rubbish. The place was filthy. The service both at the bar and table was snail pace. I had to send my meal back because it was cold as did my stepson. My wife's meal was used able. Called for the manager. He said that there was three trainee chefs working the kitchen. We did get a part refund. But used to go on a regular basis. But no more.

Brilliant, we've been here for two nights, the meals staff and drinks are fantastic! Would recommend to anyone who wants a great value meal. Good drinks in a great surrounding x.

Lots of choices unfortunately when we came they'd had a delivery problem and didn't have what I wanted the only time I've ever not eaten when ive been. Always lovely and clean. Happy friendly staff can't go wrong.

Food was very nice. I had the hot hot hot challenge which was great although I couldn't finish it all. I had to mark it down a star due to my Dad wanting the cow pie which wasn't on the menu so he got the pit burger. He did like that very much though.
