Well where do I start the room wasn't very clean. Bedding was disgusting and full of hairs but did get changed as we refused to sleep In it poor communication will not be coming back again.

This place is in dire need of updating. The hotel has a tired, old feel to it and an unusual smell that I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. The double room I stayed in was spacious enough but the floor having obviously been hoovered was still dirty. The bed was well used and soft as a result and had black tape all over it. One of the pillows was dirty and supplied kettle had rust and limescale in it. On several occasions there was no front of house staff on hand and had to leave my room key on the front counter… Security?! I would suggest that a lot of effort needs to go onto this place as it is reminiscent of a decidedly average hotel from 1970 I feel that they are being over ambitious with their room rates as you can stay in a lot nicer & cleaner places for less!

Nice hotel just spent two nights here got woke up first morning by the person in the room next to us at 5 am with telly blaring out and shouting down his phone thankgod no one next to us second night.

The room and service was good but it was loud.

I used to work here a while ago now before I moved to London for studies and I loved working here. Margaret was amazing as a boss and although I didn't stay here in one of the rooms I was the regular bartender, did some night porter work and also the occasional receptionist shift. All I can say is I enjoyed my time here a lot. Hope to pay a visit soon and see if Margaret is still there. Its the perfect hotel to stay in as it's very central in the town.

Had our wedding reception here. It was fantastic. They all did such an amazing job.

Private function… quick service. Of starters. N as quick 're mains n quicker still desserts. Lovely etiquette xx.

Easy to get to, good cheap rooms, a little to close to the main road for me tho.

Needs refurbishing staff were very polite smart and helpful reception was very clean if refurbished is in an ideal spot to do extra business.

Starters were very basic and clearly pre prepared and waiting to be brought out. Mains were OK with plenty of food. Desserts were amazing. What makes this place great is A) the price and B) the lady host. I believe her name is Jannet. This lady is a shear pleasure and makes the whole dinning experience.

Shower was impossible to get right and burned me. Mattress was old and not comfy.

The room was clean, set out fantastically with probably the comfiest bed I have ever seen. The staff were very helpful, going well out of their way to see to my needs. Overall a very good experience.

Room was awful, carpet very old, dust behind wall lights, bathroom with mold around the edges. Staff not friendly at all. I asked for a glass to take to my room … answer I get … We not allowed to give guests to take to their rooms. You have to be back by midnight or you can't get back into the hotel. Bed was small double metal frame. In the morning I could not have a shower because of mold around edges. Went for a breakfast and no one there. Just two jugs of apple and orange juice on counter. Had to wait at least 5 minutes for someone to come and take the order. I had full English breakfast and only food was good, but nothing else. I paid 80 pounds for a nightmare. Very disappointed.

Good hotel in excellent location. Great breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Stayed here to go to a wedding recently and would stay again.

Stayed with girlfriend a little while ago. Services were good. Pleasant and very helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Quite convieniant as it was in the town centre for a spot of shopping! Would stay again.
